I felt the proposal was focused on only what was needed, which made the proposal an affordable option for me when compared to others. The install was delayed a day by weather, so the crew worked on it the next day. They completed the installation of all piers (to include two breakouts in the driveway) and cleaned up all in one business day. They left the site cleaned up and the breakouts were filled with fresh concrete. Overall a professional job. I will keep Supreme Foundation in mind if I need more pier work done in the future.

Extremely Disappointed -- Drainage System Failed, No Accountability…read more We hired Olshan Foundation Repair in 2022 to install a drainage system through their irrigation and drainage division. At the time, the system was never tested, but since we experienced 15 months with virtually no measurable rain, there was no immediate way to assess its effectiveness. Unfortunately, when we finally did get two significant rain events recently, the drainage system failed completely -- resulting in water entering our home. Prior to the most recent rain, their own sales rep came out to inspect the setup and admitted that their original design wasn't working as intended. Their solution? Ask us to spend an additional $5,800 on surface drains, despite the fact that we already spent $10,000 on a system that still doesn't work. Even more frustrating is that they acknowledge their system's failure, yet refuse to take reasonable steps to correct or stand behind their work. They're not interested in working with us to find a fair resolution -- just selling us more fixes to a problem they created. Adding insult to injury, I referred two major foundation repair jobs to Olshan, each totaling over $20,000. That's more than $40,000 in business sent their way -- and yet when we need help with a failed system they designed, we're left out in the rain (literally). The driveway was not cracked and had no sinking. I got on the schedule about 2 weeks out. The morning of I received a call from the team and they said they were running behind due to some issues with the truck but they would call an hour out which they did. They showed up and did the job but by drilling into the concrete they cracked the joints and there were surface cracks. Also they overfilled it with foam so I had to ask them to clean up foam from my yard. I called to ask if a manager could come out and see if they could lay a seal over the joints they cracked so water wouldn't get in and make them worse. They scheduled me a manager to come out the following week and asked me to text pictures. The manager was supposed to come on one day and no one showed up. I texted the number I was supposed to text and no one replied. When I was able to call towards the end of the day I was told someone would call me back. When they called back they said they got caught up on another project and would come the next morning. The manager showed up the next day and basically said cosmetics are not covered in the contract but it the water gets in the cracks and the driveway sinks they'll come fix it. I also asked if they could refill the drill holes because they had air gaps in them. He said he would send someone out either the same day or the next and I never heard back nor did they come. I didn't even bother calling again. I can rest assured that my driveway shouldn't cave in with no support but it was disappointing they wanted me to pay extra to have them seal it to prevent expanding the joint cracks. I recently bought a 1930's bungalow in East San Antonio which was recently renovated. Expecting the worst, I contacted Vantage for a consultation based on on their 5-star review on Yelp. It was more the content and context of the reviews that convinced me they were the right contractor for the job. I called once on a Monday and immediately got through to Derk. He said he'll have James come by on Wednesday to come take a look at the house. No waiting. No phone tag. No answering machines. Got through to a person and was immediately scheduled for a consultation. Two days later, James came by. Completed a thorough inspection of our home, which is on a pier & beam. Used a leveling rolley tool and inspected all the rooms. Went outside and put on his Ghostbuster suit, and jumped right in, or rather, jumped underneath our home. 15-20 minutes later, he made a few recommendations, none of which were any hard sells. Basically James told us it's a moisture issue, and to get vents installed underneath our house to dry the soil. That should fix most of the problem. After the soil is dry, call them back if we notice anymore shifting. Again, no hard sell. No doom and gloom scenario, which I was expecting, after hearing horrible horror stories from friends about foundation contractors. James and Vantage foundation are not like the others. And if you had the pleasure of living in a much older home, you know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to shady contractors. You won't get that with Vantage. Instead, you will get honesty and the best customer service around with immediate callbacks and prompt scheduling. In conclusion, we are going to install vents first to let our soil dry and then call them back. I will certainly be recommending Vantage to all my friends and family for their stellar customer service, knowledge, and integrity.

He postponed starting date numerous times. The actual starting date was 30 days after the date he first told me. 2. He left the job incomplete and in shoddy quality. His crew started on 11/29/2023. It's a 4-5 days job, but they didn't work continuously. After their last show-up on 12/11, they never came back to complete the work. 3. He didn't do the job according to contract terms. I had to remind him and his crew multiple times the footer need to be 2 feet deep. 4. He ignored my multiple inquiries and reminders about installing drainage according to contract, and insisted on pouring concrete without leaving spaces for drainage pipes and backfilling. 5. The concrete wall he poured was not vertically straight. It's leaning outwards, and won't last its purpose of retaining. 6. He has pressured me to make payment all the time, and threatened to drop the job. 7. After I confronted him that he must fulfill the terms of contract to install drainage, he refused to come back unless I make more payment. I've paid him 50%, and he left me a shoddy mess. He refuses to come back to see what his crew has done, unless I pay him more. The last message I got from him was 30 days ago.
