In the course of selling my home and moving back to California, there were a number of significant delays, which both Rene's and their partner handled with understanding and flexibility. When I moved back in 2025, I also used Rene's facilities to store my furniture and possessions until I closed on a new home. While looking for a home, I found one that was significantly smaller than the one I had previously owned. That meant that most of my furniture was disproportionately large for the smaller home. Rene's was able to pull the items I identified from storage, and take them to charities to donate. And finally, they moved me into my new home in Palm Springs. Everything that was delivered to me, including items that were exceptionally fragile, were treated with great care, and arrived fully intact and unblemished. Everyone with whom I dealt at both Rene's and their partners were friendly, helpful, and treated me as if they really valued my business. That was especially true with Mark at Rene's. The issue with selling and then moving was a fraught time, and he made it significantly easier for me than it could've been. I originally called Rene's because I had seen them on a show that Candy Spelling had appeared on where she had used them to move. I was impressed with the care that they took on her valuable and precious items. I'm certainly no society figure, but they took just as much care with my possessions. I really felt like I was just as important as their more prestigious clients. In fact, when I had closed on my home in Palm Springs, I found I was going to be moving during one of Rene's busier months, and somehow Mark managed to get me slotted in. Despite all this, I found Rene's prices to be more than reasonable given the quality of care that they exercise, as well as their excellent customer service. I highly recommend Rene's for local or interstate moving, as well as storage. Five stars!

So I decided to checkout thumbtack for someone who has a truck and a few hours to haul this thing from 2 miles down the street. I received several responses all requesting 3 hour jobs or a flat fee of $175 min.. ughhh was this free dresser really worth this hassle... ummm heck yes!? Then the clouds separated from the sky and a beam of heavenly light was bestowed on my inbox when 10milemover immediately gave me an awesome flat price and was able to come next day!!! Andy's communication was superb , not only did He text me a time but he actually arrived 15 min early! Unheard of nowadays!! He was much more well prepared then I assumed he'd be with a portable ramp, furniture dolly, ropes, straps, and furniture damage protectors. Now in my mind , I assumed I was just hiring some dude with a truck but was pleasantly surprised at how well Andy had it down. He even took the time to lay a towel down to protect my wood floor, and called after I tipped him to ask if I wanted change back. Now, I almost want to do more dumpster diving just so I can hire him again.
