Holly COW!! I can't believe it! They damaged my recently restored vintage Steinway B piano. It was immaculate not a scratch on it. Not anymore. I just received it today and it has at least 4 areas of damage. Significant damage. Look at the pictures. I should have stopped the movers when after 30 mins they were still trying to figure out how to remove the piano legs. The second red flag was when the movers boss demanded a tip before the piano was loaded into the truck. I thought that was weird because I've never had someone ask for a tip before the job was completed. I sort of held my breath and hoped for the best but unfortunately when the piano reached the destination, it turned out worst. I should have stopped them when one of the workers pulled out a metal framing hammer and proceeded to knock off one of the legs for transit. They assured me they were experts at piano moving and knew what they were doing. They wanted to be paid in full before they dropped off the piano. I now see why they wanted to be paid ahead of time. The piano had significant value and was in perfect condition now I have to fight with them to get it fixed. I called and talked to the boss who indicated he would pass on the information and pics to his boss. These guys come off as nice in the beginning but I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. Anyone looking for movers do your homework and make sure you find a reputable company. I sadly have to amend my previous review (they asked me to give them 5 stars so I did) that I wrote before I learned that they lost my (deceased) father's rare & valuable antique art deco mirror. I was told one of the movers leaned it up against a post outside my apartment and drove away. It must have been taken by someone because, by the time the movers finally admitted to losing the mirror hours later, it was long gone. I hovered a lot during the move because they didn't seem to know what they were doing (couldn't figure out how to take apart or reassemble furniture, tried to take apart things that didn't come apart...) but every time I did, they reassured me that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing, which I now know for certain not to be the case. I have reached out to the company for compensation and it seems they're ghosting me. Apparently they are insured for only .60 cents per pound, which will cover maybe 1% of what the mirror is worth. I was only thinking of damage when I read about their insurance and thought worst case scenario if some of my things got scuffed, that'd be fine. It never crossed my mind that they could somehow manage to be so careless as to lose an entire 50 pound mirror, but now of course I wish I had gone with another company. In short, I wouldn't recommend using them if you are moving anything you care about, have anything remotely nice or valuable or anything you wouldn't want simply left on a curb. read more

BEWARE OF THIS MOVING COMPANY. You will see all the 5-star ratings and be fooled into thinking they are great, but they are no longer that caliber of a business (all of the recent reviews support this). My experience: I was scheduled and confirmed for movers to arrive between 8AM-10AM. I received a call at 8:45AM and was told that there was an issue with the truck and that they would need to reschedule me to 2PM. Not ideal, but not the end of the world since the move was still scheduled and happening. 2PM rolled around and I heard nothing from them (movers were supposed to call when they were 30min away), so I called to check in. I was told they'd check in with dispatch and get back to me ASAP. 45 min passed so I called them AGAIN and was told that they would check in with the manager and give me a call back. I finally received a call 15 min later (now 3PM) and was told that the movers would be there between 5PM and 7PM. At this point my confidence in them was completely shattered, and my entire day wasted. 5PM came and went. 6PM came and went. I called again at this point because I need to know if I need to make alternate arrangements to move (and they close at 7PM). Was told the same thing I was told earlier that day - "they would check in with the manager and give me a call back." FINALLY got a call at 6:45PM from the movers saying they were en route, 26 min away. They arrived at 7:50PM. I paid for 2 movers and they sent 3, which I thought was them trying to make peace with the complete inconvenience, but nope, they charged me more for the 3rd person that I never requested but couldn't turn away because they were already on site. I was told over the phone I'd receive a 10% discount for the inconvenience (which was not even close to a reasonable accommodation given the hell they put me through KNOWING that I was completely at their mercy), and when I was paying at the end discovered it was only 5%. Lots of undisclosed charges on top of that which were not included in the original estimate. The lack of transparency and the disrespect were incredulous. The movers were efficient when they were on site, so I don't blame them at all. But if you can go with another company, then please do!! And this is coming from a repeat customer. I will NEVER use them again and I went through this to pay it forward so that you don't have to. I will pay another company more before I ever call Rockstar Pro Movers again. Worst experience EVER. What a scam. Contracted Rockstar to move my stuff (no furniture) from San Diego to Texas. They picked up on Monday with an estimated delivery for Friday. Come Friday, there is no communication from them and I don't hear back until Monday - with the plan that they will deliver in the next 3-4 days. Fast forward to delivery that Friday. The delivery people have one balance and my SIGNED UPDATED CONTRACT that was signed after they had picked up my stuff has a different balance. We sat for 2 hours outside playing phone tag with the company trying to get answers and we were told we would have to wait until the next day. Which means, they would stick stuff in storage in a different city that they also planned on charging us for. Essentially, the last person we spoke to said although he saw the balance on the contract, he had written down a different number on a piece of paper therefor our only option was to wait until the next day if we didn't want to pay what he had written down. Total scam....save yourself the money...and the days of your stuff being held hostage and go with a different company. read more

This year we found out we would be moving out of state. A good friend of mine suggested Rockstar Pro Movers and since she had used them about 3+ times or more I thought they would be good. I normally read reviews but this time, since it was a good referral I did not read any reviews (regret it). Jenny was my main contact and she was patient and pleasant to work with, she texted me a couple times, asking if we were going to use Rockstar Pro Movers. I had considered another company but they were about $8k-$11K. And after speaking with Jenny and filling out their inventory form, the quote she gave me was $5,400 plus some which I thought was a great deal considering we were moving out of state. Fast forward, to our moving day. Kyle (the main foreman who is no longer working for Rockstar unless he came back) showed up with the moving truck and 3 other guys. He asked if we could provide water and we did. My husband also provided them with pizza as well for lunch. So before they started packing and loading the truck, Kyle did a walk thru of our entire house, back yard and our ADU. I pointed out everything we were bringing. I asked Kyle in the very beginning will all our stuff fit in the truck, because when they drove up to our house the truck looked small and Kyle said yes it will. They were there for quite sometime, I lived in my house 27 years so it was going to take time, plus we have a family of 5. As they got close to the end of packing I noticed that about a quarter of my stuff was not on the truck and we still had all our workout equipment to get on there. Kyle made a phone call to the office (Jenny) and as he was talking on the phone, he told us that our new fee would be $8K which I was ok with. He said the workout equipment weighed a lot so that's what changed the fee (understood). Then he asked about my sectional, fridge, washer and dryer, he said those items were not on the inventory list. I double checked and I left off the fridge, washer and dryer in error but did include the sectional. He said ok and they proceeded to pack up the fridge, washer and dryer, I told Kyle I would leave the sectional. After they packed all that stuff up and got our workout equipment on the truck he made another phone call to Jenny and told us, he was really sorry but the price was going up to $13,950.00. My husband and I talked to Jenny and she explained that it was the weight of everything and the cubic feet. We were shocked to say the least! I had to leave some of my good stuff behind which I still think about to this day. It doesn't end here. We waited a couple weeks for our stuff to be delivered as we were settling in and trying to find a storage unit to use as we didn't want to pay Rockstar one more dollar and believe me they tried. I found a storage unit and they had the driver call me directly to get the address of of the location and he said that he had this huge semi-truck that he wouldn't be able to deliver our stuff to the storage unit we chose, if we could find another one (basically because he looked at the location on the map and felt he could not get the semi on the property). I could not believe it. I wanted our stuff so I did find another unit and he was able to deliver to the 2nd place I found. When he arrived he wanted me to pay him, Jenny wanted me to pay her, they went back and forth until they finally both agreed that I pay the driver (who was a contractor and had our stuff on his truck with some other family's stuff). The whole thing was a complete mess. I would not ever recommend this company to any one. Please beware if you do use them, read all the reviews before you make a choice. Read all the fine print in their contracts, get everything in writing that they say they will do, get a fixed price no matter what you do because what they quote you will not be the end price. Jenny is the business woman behind this operation, she seems so nice on the phone to work with but when it comes to making Rockstar Pro Movers money that is her only goal, she literally does not care about how much she charges the customers, Rockstar Pro Movers starts out with the lowest amount possible, they have you fill out an inventory form which they don't ever ask you to update, then at the end when everything is loaded on the truck they have their workers call Jenny and she spikes up the price (its such a scam). It is sad Rockstar Pro Movers that you do this to people and continue doing it or someone is letting you do it, maybe your Business Manager, Rashid, the person who mainly responds to 5 star reviews on Yelp. This moving company is a SCAM! They charged my mom nearly TWICE the amount we were quoted for moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom apartment ~almost $1,000! WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Please read why NICK is the young lady that you will speak to when setting up the appointment, don't fall for her nice speaking voice and sweet talking personality. She will sweet talk you into booking their service and screw you in the end! First off BEWARE MOVERS SPEAK LITTLE TO NO ENGLISH. But they arrived at 3:45pm and I showed them my 1 bedroom apartment. Here are the items we had. 2 flat screen TV, queen size bed and bed frame, one dresser with mirror, two night stand tables, one book shelf, one sectional couch, one tv stand, and 5 large garnet boxes. The entire packing was done by us all the had to do was wrap it and move it! It took the 3 hours to wrap and pack these items. 3 HOURS.... Then they wanted to take a lunch break, which is totally understandable. They took the truck with all my stuff to lunch and I was pissed off. Wasn't sure if they were coming back will all my thing.They returned an hour later! Again that was ok not an issue at all. My new apartment is a block over. So the drive was 2-3 minute. Here at this apartment I'm so close to the street loading is super easy and fast but they took 2 HOURS to unload everything. According to the contract I sign they were to provide wrapping materials and wrap all fragile items. Deliver and unwrap the items. Well they did NOT UNWRAP ANYTHING AT ALL. We did it all ourselves. We treated these workers well we gave them water, drinks, and even a cigarette or two. We weee completely hospitable. But they were taking one box at a time and it felt like they were dragging it out to make more more. At the very end he gave me a total of $825.00. Which is completely off from the contract. It was $130 per hour and I paid a $300 deposit. Total job was 5 hours long plus $45 travel fee! If you add it up it came out to $695. They tried to charge me for their lunch break. Then when confronted he didn't understand at all what I was saying and his app wasn't working so he want me to pay the entire amount of $825. After 30 minutes or so he finally agreed that I only owed him $395 (which is $695 - $300 deposit) this job seriously should have taken maybe 3 hours no more. Usually I'm a very generous person and I always tip for services but after all of this, the mover says "You tip me now" and I look at him and said no and then he say "I have Zelle" and again I said politely no and have a good night. Again their English was very limited. Frustrate and in disbelief of the service I got today (very next day) I called Nick of ROCKSTAR PRO MOVERS and told her everything that happened and this is what she said "AT LEAST ALL YOUR ITEMS WERE SAFE AND UNDAMAGED, THATS ARE MAIN GOAL AND I NEVER PROMISED YOU IT WILL BE ONLY THREE HOURS" are you kidding me. She didn't offer any money back or any understanding. Then I said the job wasn't even completed that I paid for. I spent so much money with this company to move and store furniture when I sold my house. They damaged quite a few items, but I noticed one first: a headboard for a bed. Afterwards I noticed more, but since I had filed for the headboard, I wasn't permitted to file for more??!! Their own insurance company assessed the damages at $600 which was low, and then Rockstar Pro Movers offered me $48??? It took eight months just to get that response from them. I called and texted and emailed and finally they offered $300. To this day I have received zero. My advice....go somewhere else. read more

I have utilized Rock Star Movers several times, and the last two specifically with Archi as the lead. Archi is the best! The whole team is great - but Archi has a wonderful attitude (even when faced with suprises like extra stairs I wasn't aware of !) and their team is efficient and nice and careful. They wrap everything well and load the truck properly to ensure no damage. We regularly use movers with my company, and I will say it is actually quite hard to find reliable, careful movers who actually stay with their quote. No suprises here when you pay the bill ! Not only did we get strong-armed into paying the moving men directly for moving heavy items (which was already accounted for in our quote), but they also held our furniture hostage and charged us 4X what we were originally quoted for. If you're reading reviews before moving forward with utilizing this company.... RUN. RUN FOR THE HILLS. For background, we moved from one apartment to another... just 3 blocks away. We pre-packed up everything in boxes, so theoretically they just needed to bring the boxes and furniture down to their truck. Mind you, they came with a half full truck when our quote said we'd have a full truck (already bad news from the start). They then took 15 HOURS to complete the move. 15 hours to which my boyfriend and I were unwrapping and assembling things ourselves because their team just threw the furniture and boxes in random places. They also forgot to place the rugs before they assembled the bed frames and at 1am when we called it out, the movers asked us "are the rugs really necessary to have? it's late." No kidding it's late, we've watched your team take several smoke breaks (maybe counted 10 extended smoke breaks throughout the day). The men were so unprofessional and intimidated us into paying the full amount in addition to the off the cuff personal payment on the side. They were scary and got in our faces. Not to mention, they damaged several thousands of dollars of furniture. Don't get me started on Nick, the representative at the moving company. She handled the whole thing as poorly as she possibly could, putting the blame on us when we had all necessary documentation. She was not sympathetic or helpful whatsoever. I would NOT recommend this company at all. The good - Yurmat (one of the movers) was very friendly and efficient. The bad - Scuffed walls, damaged furniture, hired three movers but only two really worked. The third person struggled and gave us attitude the entire time, and by the end of the move disappeared into the truck. They refused to move a couch up the stairs even though we pre-measured and it cleared by more than a few inches. What should have taken four hours, took them SEVEN. Mind you, my brother moved the same weekend with a different company from a 3-bed townhome into a 5-bedroom house (three floors each) and that took IN TOTAL four hours. One of the movers was incredibly rude, and he refused to ask where we wanted any boxes and got angry at us when we told him where we actually wanted the boxes and furniture. I have moved three times in Los Angeles, and this was by far the worst experience. The move itself was all within a three mile radius and should have been an easy move, but turned out to be a disaster. Avoid if you can. read more

A few caveats: 1. I paid $155/hr for two movers and a truck (Yelp says $120, but I didn't see that until after I finished moving) 2. I was only moving .4 miles away, from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom (not a ton of stuff) 3. I helped a tiny bit in the interest of hustling (I was still packing when they arrived) 4. I haven't opened my boxes yet - in the unlikely event of any issues or breakage, I'll update my review... Kyrylo and Valentine were great! They came with a huge truck that easily fit all my things, provided temporary-use wardrobe boxes for clothes and a few other items, and were super fast up and down a flight of stairs without damaging anything. My new place has brand new wood floors (literally finished 2 days ago), and the guys were super careful without being asked. We paid over $2500.00 of which $700.00 was for packing materials that were not supplied- the workers took the supplies that we had on site.
