He came out, took a look around my home's exterior, asked a few questions, gave me some insights and options about a part of my roof that's near a tree, and gave me a quote right there on the spot. He gave me a sheet with the color options before he left so that I could know whaty options were. His quote and responsiveness beat out the other companies. Replacing the gutters was decided when re-roofing and painting our home in Laguna Niguel in 2023 after all the heavy rains the prior year. The gutters were original, had sloped in the wrong direction over time, and clearly were installed by the lowest bidder when the house was built. When going out for quote to replace the gutters, we began learning much more about gutters than we wanted from several gutter replacement companies. We found this company from a referral by our roofer. The house has needed gutters in a major way and having to replace the roof gave us the much needed excuse to get on with it. Rick was great to work with, we had to schedule the gutters after the touch up paining needed from the roof work and he accommodated easily. It took less than a day to put up the new gutters and they look fantastic, we had intended to paint them to match the house but the dark grey looked so good next to the roof we opted to just paint the gutters where they ran down the side of the house. I was referred to these guys by my roofer and generally they did a decent job. I had some work done because of the roofing done and another part because it didn't drain right. The roofing part came out great but the part I had redone because of it not draining, didn't drain properly. I called them and they came back out and renailed it up and....it still doesn't drain properly. We are in late June and I don't remember the last time it rained and it still has water in it! I guess I should have saved some money and left it alone. I would like to point out to be careful when they are done because you will come across numerous pieces of sharp metal they trim off. read more

Excellent job at a competitive price! Will hire again. Installed new rain gutters on the second-floor roof. Initially Rich gave an estimate which was slightly higher than others, so after telling him about it, he matched it. Great! Unfortunately, he had to postpone the first scheduled appointment but he emailed me the night before, and we fixed another day. No problems, I was in no hurry, but communicating that to me beforehand was essential. He sent two workers who came on time and did a great job efficiently in 45-50 minutes. It was 29-30 ft of new rain gutters and vertical drain pipe with spout - all color matched to the fascia and walls. The drain spout does not go into the ground but simply drains into the lawn (they don't do underground plumbing for the spout - it's not always required either). They shaped it and cut it to required lengths on premises. I was told both had 10-15 years of experience. Other bidder had told me it will take half a day. So, that was very efficient! read more

After Above and Beyond installed our new rain gutters, we noticed that water coming through the downspout was pooling against our house because our hardscape was not graded properly for water to go down a nearby drain. Rather than forcing us to go to the trouble and expense of having the hardscape re-graded so that the water would go into the drain instead of against the house, Rick of Above and Beyond suggested that his crew give us a detachable extension that we could attach to the end of the downspout and that would direct the water to the drain. His crew came out at the appointed time and quickly sized and cut the extension and prepared the end of it so that we could attach it to the downspout when it rains and remove it when the rain stops to prevent anyone from tripping over it. They did a great job at no extra cost, which we very much appreciate. read more

I am very happy for what he did. If there is a way to give 10 stars, I would give him 10 stars or more. Actually I was shopping around to change my old rain gutters since this October. I called two other companies, which had the best ratings on Yelp, and left messages, but they never called me back. Rick called me back right after I called. His material is under 100 years warranty, and the labor is under 10 years warranty. Awesome! I was always concerned about rain overflowing to the front door area, but I forgot to mention it to Rick. After the installation, I was very impressed that he had installed the standing flat plate on the gutter of the left side of the front door to prevent the overflow. How did he know that even though I did not tell him about it? His price is very reasonable, and he is the professional expert. Thank you very much Rick. One more thing: he has cleaned very well after his work. I came home, and I didn't have any trace of the work except the new gutters. My house is beautiful now.
