Jessie is the kind of guy I like to work with, an actual gutter guy! Seriously some of these high rated guys simply aren't. They are general or roofing contractors that are experts in online image grooming, but following quoting they sub-contract the job to a guy like Jessie. Skip those hacks and go straight to Jessie or you'll end up like I did on my first attempt at this project. A quote that promised everything I wanted and a disaster on install day when the actual gutter guy showed up (Hint: I don't thank Heaven for the first guy. At all...). Jessie may not be tip top on responsiveness, but he wasn't too bad with me. Never mind that, he's worth the wait. I had a specific type of gutter that no one offers because I wanted it to better match my old house. So I ordered all of the pieces online from Classic Gutter (who I highly recommend also) and started hunting for someone to install it. To my surprise a lot of guys refused to do custom work or use customer material, but not Jessie. He came out and we discussed the details of the job and why the way I wanted it done would require more labor. I told him that's fine, just let me know how much extra for those aspects of the job. The price quoted was very fair despite my specifics, and he had zero complaints about my material quality (not that he should have). On install day, a crew of two came out and we rehashed the specifics of the install again to make sure there wasn't any confusion. The job proceeded immediately, and despite my requested custom modifications to external brackets and needing to join/seal individual 10' sections they knocked out 160' of gutters in about 4-5 hours. They look great and the only nitpick I could come up with is that a couple of the brackets weren't spaced evenly. Not a big deal to me. In talking to a lot of my friends/neighbors it seems all of them had at least one bad experience with gutter contractors. Lots of slicked-up over-priced sales guys, and/or idiot pushy middlemen like I had on the first attempt. Jessie is the real deal who does all types of jobs (custom/seamless/whatever), and his prices are great. Brief rant: Think about it for a second. The 'seamless ONLY guys' are pushing their wares for a couple of reasons. First off it's easier to haul to the site, but also it's less labor to install with minimal joining and sealing. Then they use very cheap and quick to install internal brackets. Honestly, that is all great if that's what you want. However, why are they more expensive than Jessie was on a fully custom job like mine? Forget those guys and use Jessie even if you want seamless. read more

Our rear of the house second story gutter separated from the roofline about 2-years ago during a Santa Ana wind event. A friend hammered it back in place, but it was twisted and leaked at a 90 degree turn.
