These guys did a great job for me. I bought a used pool…read moretable but the delivery company handled it poorly and Kevin and his partner arrived they showed me where the 'screws and glue' were pulled apart. They requested to take the critical pieces back to their shop so they could glue and screw the thing properly with clamps etc. They returned a few days later and finished the job perfectly. They were on time on both visits - which you don't find from a lot of indy guys. I would use them again and refer them to my friends!

The breakdown, move, and reassembly of my pool table was fast and efficient. I give 2 stars for…read morethat, and because my initial setup at my previous address was exemplary. However, the gentleman that came this time was more than a little abrasive. I had placed the pool table with the help of my friends and family on a stack of mats in our carriage house with lots of room all around it, as we did not want to break it down to bring it into my home. As I said, the installation was perfect, but I was charged nearly full price for the breakdown and reassembly from the carriage house to the billiard room (60-70 feet) and subjected to their complaints about the pool table not being up on its legs. I had to leave early and my father remained with them, who reported an even more abrasive attitude towards him. One crew was wonderful, the other did it's job, but went out of its way to be mean since he was not working in ideal conditions (the table was not on it's own legs).

The store sells a number of gaming items from poker chips to pool tables to board games…read more I went there looking for new darts to replace the ones that came with my dart board. They had a great selection and were very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the right darts. The prices were also much better than other places I have visited online. I highly recommend!

I think Compleat Gamester's major business comes from the sale of stuff like pool tables, foosball…read moretables, etc. That's cool, but I don't have a house to put one in (otherwise I'd be all over that), so I really only examined their smaller items. They have an entire wall of board games, from classics like chess and checkers to new-fangled forms of edutainment such as Cranium. Also, there are a ton of different specialty Monopoly boards (I liked US National Parks Monopoly -- you can buy the Grand Canyon). This would be a cool place to come if you're looking to find a gift for a kid, or to find something to do indoors on snowy winter nights. In addition to complete (compleat?) board games, the Gamester also sells board game parts. Missing a die or a Parcheesi game piece? Need a new one-minute sand timer for Boggle? Looking to find another colorful plastic choo-choo train to replace the one your little nephew swallowed out of the Monopoly Jr. game? They have all that stuff. Also a small selection of non-six-sided dice (d10, d20) for you role-playing dorks out there. We bought a d20 to use in lieu of the alphabet die in a homemade game of Scattergories, and a 3-minute timer for it, too. They also sell thick wads of Monopoly money, if you want to pretend you're stinkin' rich. I love the fact that you can find such random stuff here. Somewhat weirdly, the store also sells tons of whimsical signs you can hang on your wall, which range from "W.C." labels for the bathroom to lengthy pontifications on the state of being Irish. Some of them are kinda kitschy-cool, like "Hippies use side door" and so on. I'd hang them in my game room, if I had a house with a game room in it. And I'd probably buy the pool table from Compleat Gamester, too. Too bad I suck at pool...
