It helps that many of them have been there for a long time and the staff works well together. No snobbery that one can feel in Spas. Very down to earth, helpful, genuinely caring and polite. Dr. Lam is so good and caring too. If only all businesses were run this way. I enjoyed my time with all of them and highly recommend. . . They even put me on a cancellation list and called me when someone canceled. I just love this place.

When a treatment doesn't produce the expected results, the least a client should receive is a professional evaluation and a willingness to make things right, not excuses. On top of that, the receptionist consistently had a rude and dismissive attitude. She told me they would not provide any complimentary treatments, even though I never asked for one. All I wanted was to receive the service I had already paid for and have it done correctly. A reputable business stands behind its work and takes responsibility when something doesn't go as planned. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Instead, I was met with poor customer service, a lack of professionalism, and no accountability. For those reasons, I cannot recommend this place

Western Dermatology Consultants on Montgomery Technician: E…read moreAragon Went there for a "full body" skin check. The key words here are full body. There are places on my body that I am not able to see, and even if I could see, I am not capable of discerning the health of the skin. This is why I went to a dermatologist. Come to find out that they assume you do not want a full body check and will only check your entire skin surface if you have a complaint. This is foolish. I the past I have had several pre-cancerous lesions and some that were cancerous removed from places I can easily see, but that I did not recognize as harmful or have any negative sensation such as redness, itching or pain. They say they only check parts of you that are exposed to the sun. Does skin cancer only effect those areas? No. This falls within the realm of "failure to diagnose" which can be a big problem for a provider. They should always perform a full body check unless you refuse to do so. While there, I had several spots frozen and two shaved off. Now three weeks later the spots that were frozen have returned. The technician did not freeze the area long enough to kill the skin cells. I have the impression that they are trying, but they have some areas that need improvement. The service was abbreviated and superficial. It feels like this place has shifted from being a dermatology office to a beauty spa. I guess you go to where the money is?

I went to Western Dermatology for a shave biopsy of a simple, benign skin mole done by the PA. It…read morewas a terrible experience from start to finish. The numbing injection was extremely painful. The MA said it would just be a little pinch, but it wasn't -- and I always tolerate pain pretty well. Less than a week after the biopsy, the site progressively became completely infected and very painful. I went to urgent care on a Sunday where I was told I had cellulitis that could progress to sepsis. They gave me 4 prescriptions. I returned to Western Dermatology on Monday for a follow-up. The PA brought a student in to examine me and took the infection very lightly. Instead of acknowledging how serious it was, she prescribed even more medication on top of all the cost I had already incurred. When I mentioned that I was concerned about all of the new medication coats (as buying it directly from Western Dermatology significantly higher than buying it from a pharmacy) -- she and the student started laughing. They also tried to charge me another $80 co-pay for that follow-up visit, less than 7 days after the procedure. I explained at check-in and again at check-out that this type of unbundling was illegal. The CPT procedure code includes a seven day follow which should not have any additional charge. The front desk, check out desk, and the manager insisted they charge $80 at every visit. I was finally able to help them understand, proper billing codes, and charges. More than three weeks later, the infection still has not resolved. I will never go back.

I had this peel before and did not have a comparable experience. When it comes to treatments, I like to feel that I am getting what I paid for and so if it entails a little discomfort in order to get the results, I'm willing to deal. The esthetician was not familiar with some of the techniques and products my CME in San Fran uses on me but she was young. However, she put the peel on very lightly with a brush (instead of gauze) so I didn't get much stinging or peeling following the procedure. This place has the latest equipment and a really nice spa like office but I am most interested in the treatments so I don't think I will be going back since this peel is pretty pricey for not getting what I paid for.

You're seated in a warm little waiting room while you listen to a fountain and you start the relaxation processes. Dori did my facial, and I was really really happy. She walks you back tucks your hair into a hairband and wraps your little legs in a blanket to keep you comfortable during your treatment. You then get to choose from three scents for your facial and she gets to work. As your final mask sits she gives you probably one of the best head massages you will ever have in your life making you feel happy and peaceful. A tip to all those facial peeps: get the extractions. They hurt like nothing I've ever felt before, but it'll help get rid of your blackheads and pimples. Endure the pain for five minutes. It'll help your skin in the long run!
