    Was disappointed in the customer service by ABQ Event Support staff who was rude and disrespectful towards the wedding party and guests.

Check in was quick & friendly. The room was clean and well maintained and very quiet at night. The food we had (breakfast, lunch and a dinner) was well prepared and great tasting. Beer on tap was local (which I prefer) and a very good selection. In the morning I was up studying my French with a Starbucks coffee in a quiet breakfast nook. However, my room was really dated and frankly more than a touch gross. The carpet was stained and had holes in it. The whole room smelled of damp and vague cigarette spoke. And portions of the dresser were just broken. Air con sounds like a Gulfstream 6 taking off. Someone had told me prior to my stay to switch hotels, and I see why. Not the worst, but man oh man this place is tired. Bathrooms at least are nice and the bed and pillows are soft. But I don't think I'd come back. Ha. Update. Was awoken at 12:41 am by an emergency alert instructing all guest to evacuate the building immediately. There was no staff to guide us to the exits. Someone mentioned a staff member guiding people to the exit, only to later learn she was actually also a hotel guest who happened to be a flight attendant. (I'm glad someone was at least trying to coordinate an emergency response) Sadly, when we got outside, there was no staff to provide instructions or information. No one knew what was going on. People randomly just starting filing back in and shuffling to the elevators. While other groups milled around looking for the stairs, as they were not readily in sight from the first floor. There was one staff member at the main desk at this point. So unacceptable. Had it been an actual emergency, this lack of guidance and general foolishness could have had serious consequences. People aren't just paying for comfort (which they're not getting here anyway) Theyre paying for safety and professionalism, which was SEVERELY lacking during this process. I know emergencies happen, and lots of factors are simply out of management's control, but the response was disappointing, especially on top of an already subpar beginning. I feel like NeNe Leakes would have some choice words about this... experience. Whew chile!! Update: It's 3:23 am. Another emergency alarm has gone off. Guys seriously????

When we arrived, the chairs were uncovered and the tablecloths had deep creases in them. Be aware that the basic package doesn't include the chair covers (even if you were told it does!) and includes their least-expensive tablecloths. Despite this, the manager on site the day of our event very kindly put covers on the chairs and swapped the tablecloths out. We had no problems with the venue or the staff until the manager left. Once she was no longer present, the staff began clearing tables, not just of trash from dinner, but also by throwing away wedding favors, florals, and other decor we had out. Many of our guests began leaving because they thought the event was over, even though it still had 2 1/2 hours to go. We ended up leaving early, ourselves, because we had no guests left! We also pre-paid for some wine vouchers for our cash bar. The bartender requested that we hand out the vouchers, so we put a friend in charge of them. At the end of the night, we still had 20 vouchers left. The bartender charged our guests full price for glasses of wine if they didn't have a voucher; this was after asking us to hand out the vouchers rather than keep them at the bar for free use by the guests. We feel double-charged for those drinks, and were offered no means of making this right, since it isn't the bartender's job to keep track of the vouchers that were pre-paid for. We frustratingly overpaid by $100 for wine that the bartender can now re-sell at another time. Overall, the management is phenomenal, and our experience was a good one. The venue is beautiful, and I'd highly recommend a walkthrough for anyone interested. Just some suggestions: make sure everything you're promised is written out to the letter on the invoice, don't have an evening event here, where the manager might be clocking out partway through, and go with a strictly cash or strictly open bar, DO NOT buy the vouchers, because they're not afraid to double-dip for the drinks that are already covered by those.

    Worse customer service ever!!! I Left several messages and never once received a call back from…read morethem, and they never answer their phone either!!. Also, i sent them an email and didn't get a response for four days. Their website says they work by appointment only but I'm not sure how you're supposed to schedule an appointment if they don't answer, or why anyone would even want to give business to a company that operates in this fashion. When I did finallllly get a response back from them, I asked if I could come in and see their available linens for wedding venues and the answer they provided me was "We won't know our openings for Monday until Sunday night." I'm not sure what that's suppose to mean. Geez thanks very helpful!NOT!!!! Do yourself a favor don't bother using this company for any of your party planning needs .

We are so grateful for her professionalism and experience, as she organized all of the vendors and kept our wedding on a timeline. I run anxious and…read moreI was incredibly worried about everything going well (after having lost my first wedding venue in California and needing to put together a totally new wedding in NM in 5 months, I was especially concerned). Since I live in CA, I was working with Alena remotely, which could have caused problems with someone less capable. No problems at all with Alena, her work was A+. Not only was I able to 100% trust Alena with all of my worries and details, but she went above and beyond in every way during my wedding in Santa Fe in August. She will have every detail that is important to you in her brain day of, and make sure that it happens precisely as you want it to happen. She will solve problems before they even get to you. She will be a shepherd to you and your spouse on your big day - not pushy, but not a pushover. There in exactly the way you need her. She knows her craft, and she executes like the expert she is. She is worth every single penny and more. She has a calming, but kickass presence that will complement you in whatever way your personality type needs. Her organizational skills and professional demeanor truly impressed us during the whole lead up to the wedding and the day of. She managed all of our vendors with elegance, but a get-it-done attitude as well, and they had great things to say about her to us as well. I wish I lived in New Mexico so I could work with Alena on more events. She is unbelievable. Hiring her was the best decision of our entire wedding - and my husband and I say that every time we reminisce about our big day. She made it even better than I imagined...which I did not think was possible!!

As you walk in, the manager is sitting at the front desk. He was really nice and showed me around the place. He was continuously apologizing for the mess, but didn't look like he did anything to change it. I really like the following ideas BUT: There was a movie room for the kids with a jungle team decor... BUT it could def use a new and cleaner tank for the fish in that room. There is a fun playroom with a lot of mystery boxes full of toys and a kids kitchen n play house... BUT the toys look as if they haven't been cleaned in a while. There was a couple of books available for kids to pick up and read. There was also a drawing or craft room BUT there was a bunch of broken crayons and household cleaning products in the same cabinet. There was a bouncy room... But that room could use better lighting. There are various picnic tables( im guessing for parties) My favorite part was a stage room with a changing room. There's awesome lights in there that can keep a little one entertained for days.... BUT the changing room was a bit disorganized. I would suggest this is a cool place to kill some time with your kids but keep in mind you have the wear rubber gloves and masks. We were there for pretty much 15 minutes and I had to wash my L.O. hands 3 times because there were some toys that felt a little sticky. Well, the only reason I tired it was because I had a Groupon. So, let me know if you wanna go amd try it yourself, I still have 3 more. I won't be going here again, unless new management kicks in or he decides he's going to have someone there to pick up everything and put it where it belongs. There's a lot of potential for such a big space. Hopefully someday someone decides to use it correctly.
