Eduardo and his team knocked it out of the park!!! We hired Casa Nova to help us with a private dinner for 22 for a special night. We were from out of town on a couples retreat and did not know Santa Fe well. Eduardo met with us, patiently researched locations and then helped coordinate all the details for an amazing evening. The food was outstanding. Fun hand passed appetizers - corn chowder shooters, chille relleno bites and healthy puréed cauliflower bites. We used Casa Nova Catering (Eduardo and Joaquin) for our wedding - I could not have been happier. Our goal was elevated New Mexican food, and I talked to all the recommended caterers in ABQ/Santa Fe -- CNCC by far was the best. They exceeded our expectations in every way- from our initial conversations they listened to our preferences, were super responsive with questions or concerns that came up even to the last weeks, and the final product was phenomenal food and outstanding service- right down to the cleanup. Our location was about 1 hour from Santa Fe, and they visited the site unprompted to help us figure out rentals (they work with Occasion Services & Events). Overall Eduardo and Joaquin were so easy to work with- we were planning long distance and only made 1 visit prior to the wedding, so email communication was critical- of all our vendors, we never had to worry with CNCC. Eduardo and Joaquin and their mothers make incredible food. They catered our wedding and it was spectacular. Green chile mac n cheese, carne asada tacos, fresh guacamole, refried beans, and more were delicious. Our wedding guests were gushing about the food. Even more superb were the deserts, the red chile chocolate truffles were gone in about 5 minutes; as were the delicious homemade churros! When we called to confirm our meeting location, Eduardo directed us to "the most beautiful table in the parking lot" and indeed we were! Eduardo and his husband, Joaquin were the perfect choice for our rustic (read: in the middle of nowhere) wedding in Truchas. We wanted our wedding to be a grander version of the house parties that we typically throw and CNCC made that vision possible. They were both so attentive, easy to work with and loved food as much as my husband and I do. When another caterer told me that family style service was more expensive because of the additional dishes, CNCC didn't blink. My father hired Casa Nova Custom Catering for breakfast and lunch the day of my wedding, as well as breakfast the next day. Eduardo was a dream, bringing us coffee, delicious homemade food and yogurt, and cleaning up for us too. All of the food was delicious and locally sourced--I was especially enamored with their chicken apple sausage, lavendar yogurt, and Mediterranean wraps. Oh and the chocolate chip cookies! To die for! For some strange reason my previous review got deleted so I am re-posting! My fiancé Stephen and I always knew we wanted to get married in New Mexico. Though we both have lived in California for most of our lives, he was raised in New Mexico. We wanted to give our wedding guests a chance to get away for a weekend and explore the beautiful NM scenery. Stephen's number one priority was to have delicious New Mexican/Mexican food. We both enjoy eating... our shared meals with family, friends, and one another have been a definitive part of our relationship and love for one another. It was only fitting that our wedding would be a chance to share a delicious meal with our close community. After some internet research, I came upon Marja Catering in Santa Fe. We visited her kitchen and instantly knew that she was our woman! She offered us tastings of carnitas and fresh tortillas as we all talked about our favorite places to eat in San Francisco where we had all lived for a few years. We were sold. Marja's food did not disappoint. We had a simple buffet of carnitas, beans, tortillas, fresh salsas, and some roasted shisito peppers that Marja happened to find at the farmers' market that morning. The food was local, fresh, tasty, and almost all our guests - as well as my fiancé and I - went back for seconds. Everyone feasted. Instead of a cake, we opted to serve sundaes and popsicles. These were both a hit. The sundaes were decadent and the popsicles were a nice way for our guests to cool down since the weather was warmer than we expected. For our wedding favors, Marja prepared tasty New Mexican biscochitos and I printed and laminated the recipe for the cookies so our guests could make them at home. Marja's staff was friendly and so helpful. And Marja was just a joy to work with - responsive to emails and calls, open to new ideas, and receptive to our budgetary (and culinary!) needs. We only wish Marja had a restaurant so we could enjoy her food again! The food was indeed one of the highlights of our wedding day. read more
