I was strongly considering hiring this company, but my experience contacting them changed my mind. When I called, I was connected to an AI answering service that repeatedly requested my personal information before allowing me to ask questions or leave a message. I specifically requested to speak with a live person, but the AI continued focusing on collecting my information and never connected me to anyone or provided an option to leave a message. At first, I thought I was speaking with the owner's daughter because the voice sounded like a young person and came across as somewhat unfriendly. When I asked if I was speaking with a real person, the system confirmed that it was an AI assistant. It's now been more than 24 hours, and I have not received a callback. Because HVAC issues can be time-sensitive and expensive, I ultimately hired another company. I understand businesses are looking for ways to improve efficiency, but for services like HVAC, customers often need questions answered quickly so they can make informed decisions. Yesterday, my thermostat went out and stopped working not allowing me to control the temperature in my house on one of the coldest days yet. Our A/C recently stopped blowing cool air, and it got hot REAL quick. I called around to about 5 companies and ABQ Temperature Management was able to come check it out with the least wait time. Hector Jr. and his team were very respectful of Covid-19 protocols and wore masks anytime they were in the house. Turns out we had a coolant leak, which was not easy to find nor a straightforward fix due to our specific system. He squared us away with a fix that we hoped would at least get us through the summer while Hector did a bit more research and reached out to the manufacturer for us. Alas, the problem came back within about a month. Upon calling again, Hector Jr. remembered the situation and came back that same day. He was able to find the leak and devise a more permanent solution. He also followed up with numerous emails with details he'd researched about parts and our options moving forward. We bought a home that was 16 years old and was still running the original tanked water heater and gas boiler for in floor radiant heat, both not EnergyStar. We asked for quotes from multiple companies to put in an EnergyStar tankless combi-boiler that is both a radiant heat boiler and domestic hot water heater. We hired ABQ Temperature Management and are very glad we did. The owner Hector and his crew were beyond professional and took their time to do this complicated install correctly and cleanly. I was kept up to date on issues and they were explained to me in layman's terms. Every day they cleaned up after themselves and left my garage spotless. After the combi-boiler was installed we found our hot water recirculating pump was broken, so Hector replaced that as well, and worked through several issues including a defective pump and malfunctioning check valve until he was certain I was satisfied that things were working properly. Our AC stopped blowing cold air. This has been the second hottest August on record so it was not comfortable in our house to say the least. I sent messages to three of the top reviewed AC repair companies on yelp and these are the only guys that responded. They got out to my house the very next day and within a couple hours my AC was blowing ice cold again. Hector Jr. is super professional and I genuinely felt I could trust what he was saying. He took pictures/video of everything he did and he took the time to explain it to me, which I really appreciate it as I am not an AC expert. I would highly recommend anyone talk to Hector and Son--they are honest, fair, and do great work. Our AC broke and our regular company who installed it and is an established company made a recommendation to replace the whole unit, and mentioned we could just replace the motor but that would be a risk since there is only a one year warranty on the motor. Hector Jr came to look at the unit and recommended replacing the motor, since the overall unit was still in good shape. Each year we have had different companies come to do maintenance on our ac units. And every year we are really disappointed in how unprofessional, unreliable, costly, inconsistent companies can be. We had our ac unit having to be replaced almost two years ago by Master craft Plumbing and Mechanical and although they did an ok job on the installation they did not install hail rails that were supposed to come with unit. We paid the installer and he said he would come back to install them in a couple of days, never to be seen again. We called, texted several times and he never replied (he is the owner of the co.) We called ABQ Temperature Management (who came very highly recommended as the others had) Skeptical me, I thought we will see. Hector came on time and was very professional and gave a quote. Although it was a (simpler job) he gave me a detailed explanation of what he would do. I thought the quote is right (I had researched before he came) He came back a few days later with his partner (his father) he had ordered the parts and really did a very thorough job. He serviced my second unit as well and he was very meticulous, took pictures of the before and after. I was very impressed because he actually took the time to clean and straightened the one unit. A few days later it hailed and I was very happy to know that I wasn't worried something would happen to my ac units. This winter, our boiler broke, leaving us with only sporadic heat. I received five different estimates, meeting with both owners and technicians. While all of the bids were in the same range price wise, (one was crazily high), their approach and equipment varied. Hector Sr impressed us with his thorough inspection of the old unit, as well as looking throughout for new pathways that would be needed for ductwork, piping and electrical when a new system went in. We even found out that the old boiler and leaking water heater had been shoddily and unsafely installed back in 1983. This was something that even the building inspector had failed to mention when we purchased the house 2 years ago. Work started a week before we had anticipated, which was a wonderful thing given the temperatures. We decided on a Navien combi boiler unit, eliminating the separate boiler and water heater, opting for a more efficient system while creating more space. The wiring, piping and ductwork were all meticulously installed, and even our handyman raved that "they did a REALLY good job." Work was completed in a week and few days of last minute details. They were polite, considerate, and neat. We were very happy with our installation, and the subsequent follow up. They even followed up with us when it came to receiving the rebate from the New Mexico Gas Company for the more energy efficient unit. My heater went out when the temperatures were below freezing, Hector Sr. helped me troubleshoot over the phone and when it was certain I couldn't get it working without help made sure it would get fixed the same day. This company was fantastic! Showed up with masks on! Came a day earlier than scheduled, which I really appreciated. Our A/C had not been serviced since we moved in to our house 3 years ago. It was still working but felt I needed to have it checked out. Hector Jr and Andrew were very kind. Hector took the time to explain things to me so I would understand the importance of keeping the filters clean. They cleaned the inside and the blower, and the motor, which was full of dust and animal hair. Removed the filter which was like a blanket. Changed out the filter grilles. And more. Now I can change these every couple months from inside the house. So easy now. Within a couple hours there was a huge difference in our Air Conditioner. So while I didn't know how dirty the filter was, and thought things were working right, now with new filters the amount of cooling was so much better. Couldn't believe how well it works with clean filters! How much air is actually coming in the house now.They also checked the heater and made sure it would be good to go this fall. Did you know there are angels walking among us; giving us hope, faith and trust again where others have failed us? Hector is one of those angels! We've been without a central heating/cooling system since Jan 9th; freezing to death in winter and sweating like crazy as of late. We had finally decided to bite the huge financial bullet and get a few estimates..one local company quoted $7,500; another roughly $10,000. I sent Hector a message via Yelp; he responded immediately the following morning with a friendly phone call.."I'm going to be finishing a job at another place; I'll come by within the hour." Lo and behold here comes my angel within the hour..he explains everything informatively in words as well as drawings on paper; gave me energy saving tips as well! Then he says "I know you said your heater stopped working; let's see if your AC works!" As stupid as I felt at that moment; when he flicked the switch on and glorious chilled air began to flow through my home I still felt the blessing of my living angel! I highly recommend this company. Hector was very thorough with the AC diagnosis on my refrigerated air unit. He added Freon as needed, cleaned the coils, and made recommendations for the future. His prices are fair and I really like how he shows you the problem along with data on his iPad from what the temperature sensors show. I just moved into a new house and my gas fireplace had a very low flame. I wasn't sure what was wrong so I called ABQ Temperature Management. They sent over Hector, who showed up on time. Hector was very professional and walked me through how to adjust my fireplace. He was very thorough and even checked the gas meter outside to make sure everything matched up. My furnace also was making some weird noises and Hector was happy to show me where those noises were coming from and how to fix it. I cannot say enough good things about Hector and Hector Jr. They were professional, quick and willing to go the extra mile when fixing my refrigerated air. They came out for a diagnostic test in the late afternoon on memorial day, and followed up with the service the following day (compressor bit the dust). Did i mention they came out on memorial day when nobody else would, or when companies were trying to charge in excess of $200 just to show up. They explained every part of the repair in great detail and were very knowledgeable. I had a different company quote me an absurd amount of money without even showing up to my house. Abq Temperature MGT came in exactly on the price they quoted and were almost 1/3 the price of a previous quote I received. There workmanship is second to none and they take pride in their craft.
