I'm obsessed with this place! If you know me, you know weaves are LIFE, and finding a place with the materials I need for protective styles can be intimidating in the state of Florida. That's why this place is a god send. Being from California, I know that the only way you'll find a good beauty supply in in the hood, with barred windows, and cops parked out front. I don't know about you, but I'm not a fan of being worried I'll be robbed or involved in a robbery while I shop lol. This place is GINORMOUS. When I say floor to ceiling hair and accessories, I'm not exaggerating. The hair literally is floor to ceiling. The prices are way lower than most places, and the variety can be a bit overwhelming. I've spent hours looking through the aisles and I've seen maybe 30% of the store. I even spend my lunch breaks here from work lol. They offer every type of crochet hair you'd need, as well as thousands of wigs in every style you can imagine. They offer tracks, braiding hair, beads, over 40 different types of styling gels, hair sprays, combs and brushes, as well as a whole section dedicated to nails, makeup, and lash extensions. Near the front of the store, are 2 registers that are always manned, and a section where you can try on wigs, and even have the lace cut before you leave ($5 if you plan on putting you wig on in the car? Lol). They accept credit, debit, and cash, and I didn't see a sign posted for a minimum purchase amount. If you are struggling to find a beauty supply, go here. I go into this supply store mainly for products like edge control , braid gel, shampoo , conditioner , foam , clips , rods , rubber bands , braiding hair , oils ,etc . They always have what I need in stock and if they don't ,they'll order it . Pricing is average IMO , they're the best option for the convenience of a local beauty supply in this Alafaya area that I know of . They are good at answering the phone too if you need to call to verify about a product before you drive there . The owner and all staff have always been polite and helpful to the best of their abilities. Never met an unapproachable rude employee . They're so hands on and kind - even when I look around to see how they interact with others they're amazing . Long as I live in this area , they've got my business ! read more

I am originally from the Bronx in NYC and accustomed to finding a Dominican beauty supply everywhere. So when I moved here aside from the stress of finding a hair dresser, I also had to find a good place with knowledgeable people that carried my favorite Dominican hair products. Thank God that, simultaneously I found a hairdresser and she led me to Abradel. It is conveniently located in Waterford Lakes which is close to home. They carry a slew of Dominican hair products and all sorts of products for my hair type. I found creme conditioners, heated oils, styling products too. I found my favor hair nets and fine combs and the rollers I need for my long hair. The employees are willing to answer honestly when you ask a question & I ask alot of questions. I have never been dissatisfied. If they don't carry a particular brand they will show you similar or direct you to where you can find it. read more

First of all this kind of beauty supply store is very difficult to find on this side of town. I was so excited when I found it, thanks to yelp. It has items of all varieties for women with beauty needs of all varieties :) Particularly coily or curly hair, weaves, wigs, braids, or any type of ethnic headdress or products. The attendants are very helpful and the prices are very reasonable. However, I think some areas and aisles need to be maintained a little better. read more

This website has misleading information. I told the staff in the store about the website price and she said oh we haven't updated our website in ages. I told her it's misleading and causes people to drive all the way over to their store to make a purchase and their prices are incorrect. She never apologized or anything. This place is a mess when it comes to finding things. It's poorly organized and there were boxes all over the place. Hair selection was low. They didn't have many colors available and they weren't helpful as I wondered around until I found what I wanted but was disappointed that they only 1 and some 2 colors available. I don't know many AA ppl with jet black hair to justify only having color 1 in stock. You're kinda on your own in here. They also don't have the most common product brands. Staff kinda stayed behind the counter. The owner I assume handles the register. read more

Not sure what the deal is with the negative reviews because this place is great! I'm from out of town and needed some hair supplies. The customer service was good. No one following you around like they do in other beauty supply stores. Staff is friendly and helpful. I loved the selection of dominican products as well. I just left the store about an hour ago and I had one of the associates follow me around the store and acuse me of stealing. It was awful experience; I had my physical space invaded, I felt so disrespected and hurt. I came in and I had to wait for the staff to provided me with their horrible customer service. After I found the product, I had a loud 5 minute conversation with my mom to make sure I was picking up the right hair, so it was obvious why I was standing back there. When I began to walk up to the counter, he was around the corner waiting for me and then when I got to the counter he stood within 6in of me to search me. I felt so invaded and belittled. He then began to speak to the other associate in Spanish about how I was stealing. I had nothing to hide and just stood there, although I should not have accepted that type of treatment. Those people are disgusting and had no right to treat me that way. And they need to get themselves in order if they thing they can run a business advertised for black people and the treat them like worthless criminals when they come inside their store. read more

Went in to look for hair extensions since my stylist suggested this place for me to be able to accomplish the look I want for my wedding. Experience was not terrible, but annoying at first. Waited and waited in front of the counter for somebody to help me out, kept saying "good afternoon" to the employees who seemed very busy and would continue to organize stuff or attending other customers. Other clients kept arriving ( after me) and they were being helped out first. So I figured I had to make myself heard and interrupted (politely) an employee and asked her if there were any numbers for turns since I had been waiting for a while a clients that arrived after me were being helped first (making myself look innocently clueless), and then I was quickly helped. Although I don't know much about hair extensions, I want to think I was provided with fair prices given what I was looking for... A bit worried about their refund policy. No money back, just credit... But I hope I don't have to return these. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. I went in there for the first time and I found some extensions that I wasn't too sure if it would match my hair. I asked the employee if I buy this and decide I don't want it can I return it for my money back. He's said yes in 5 days as long as it's not open. After I purchased it the receipt said no returns. Less then 24 hours later I called to ask them what the return policy was again because the receipt is saying something different then what I was told and I end up finding something else and he said I can't return it. I specifically ask the owner and his son and they told me I could!!! Now they are telling me they have it on camera the whole conversation but yet is accusing me of lying. When i specifically ask their return policy before I purchased. Worst customer service ever!!!! read more

Will never shop here again. Bought 2 boxes of Textures & Tones hair dye, and both were defective. When I say defective, I mean old, as though they were expired. Or, they could have been heat damaged (from storage or transport). I exchanged them for a different product (NOT hair color), and they have me a partial credit for the items at cost. In otherwords, not including the $1 tax paid on the items. Other than that, the store is mediocre and items are over priced. They don't have a good selection of various products. I suggest making a trip to the west side of Orlando for your ethnic hair needs. There, you're likely to find better selection, better prices, and better customer service. read more

I was very surprised by this hair store. When you walk in the door you're immediately greeted and shown in the direction of what you're looking for. The store is large and so is the selection of hair and products. I went in for braiding hair and came it with hair, nail files and some of my favorite concealer by LA Girl (They carry every shade, even color corrector). Went to this shop to check out some wigs for my bachelorette party. Ellie was so welcoming and helpful with all 3 of us ladies. She was super knowledgeable and told us lots of information about the wigs and stuff since it was our first time ever going to a wig store. The service is horrible here. It's like they don't want to serve you and ignore you and have the audacity to say sorry. Not helpful at all. Seems as if they don't want to sell you the item. It is Sunday and they are supposed to open at 12. It's currently 12:10 and there are 11 people waiting for them to open and no one is there. This is supposed to be a business. In love with the customer service here! You can't get a more helpful and friendly shop. They keep every section of the store well staffed so there's always someone to help you and, most importantly, knows what they're talking about. The selection is good but I also feel it could be a little better BUT that's just me being picky. The prices a fair for the products. I find them comparable to Sally's across the street but if your watching your pennies be sure to double check some items and shop smart. The only reason that this isn't a five star review is only because I wish they had a bigger selection that didn't include just "ethnic" products. i actually really love this place. for how tiny the space is, the employees manage to keep the place pretty organized. my mom always comes here for hair products and she loves their hair dye. i don't know if i'd recommend the makeup products they do look like they've been sitting there for a while but if you're looking for a beauty supply store that sells things for cheap, i definitely recommend this place:) read more

I like that this store has a huge selection of many things and its convenient location is great when i dont have time to go to the west side where all the best shops are at. the one big problem is their customer service. this place is run by spanish people and while most are run but black or orientals they at least know what their talking about and can help you when u need to find something specific. unless you kno exactly what your looking for and kno what the package looks like i dont recommend asking for assistance. they go to ask another associate and it seems like their all a little lost. oh and no refunds. so if they sell you the wrong hair or product i hope you keep the receipt cause even with that you only get store credit. read more

Very small store with small supply of hair. I did not find the extensions I was looking for, but found some inexpensive hair products.

I was asked for help but I was just looking and then when I needed help they disappeared. I did end up buying conditioner which is what I needed but ended up buying hair that I was looking for somewhere else. Some products have pricing labels on the shelf and others you have to ask. I went back 2- weeks ago to give him feedback about my experience. Abraham the owner stated he would work with me for my bad experience. Long story but I looked at sensational hair lace weave. Well I walked to the front he made me an offer for the hair 179 versus 220 including tax. He gave me the wrong hair I was crying and upset. long story I didnt go back for months. Finally, I went in and said I would give him another chance because he was such a nice person. I have been satisfied with my service but this store caters to the African American hair but most of his staff that are of Hispanic decent and they know NOTHING about the hair business. So my advice dont spend the big dollars in his store. I now order my hair online. I only buy the 30.00 hair (lasts about 3-4 weeks) and hair products from his store. I give him a 3 because Abraham is very sweet in nature. But he needs to send his Hispanic girls to school for African american hair education. read more

I usually like shopping here but I don't know what the deal was today. They have a decent enough selection of relaxers but a lot of the "regular strength" were out of stock. As I continued browsing, I was approached by a young lady who did indeed ask me if I was finding everything ok. I told her yes but mentioned the deficiency with the regular strength relaxers. She kinda smiled and said oh, I don't know about that. Ummm, ok. Not to mention when I was browsing the relaxers the pink haired associate stopped directly in front of me, in between me & the products I was browsing, dropped his dust pan & proceeded to sweep the floor. He however was not as friendly as he did not offer a hello or excuse me as he stood between me & the merchandise. To round out my trip as I approached the register, again no greeting. Another customer asked if he had a different type of bag to which he responded at least twice with "huh". When he finally "heard" (or registered) what she asked he just said oh...no. I think he may have uttered sorry. I'm sure she didn't hear him. He did manage to speak loudly across the store to his co-workers that someone should go and get some pizza. And he did manage to mumble a thanks. It's like everybody was high or something. This was the worst experience I have ever had in this particular store. Everytime I come to Abradel Beauty in waterford lakes, the service is non existent. The boy with the terrible pink dye job is always gossiping about Nicki Minaj and other celebrities. He never does his job. They need better staff and better product. They sell small wig clips for 50cents which they know is robbery when a pack of 50 wig clips cost about 2-4 bucks. No one acknowledges you when you enter and still don't acknowledge while inside. I needed to check out and everyone was standing around talking and gossiping about non work related topics. I'd rather drive to the west side where there is an abundance of products and service. Stay away. The manager need to hire different employess unless management don't care about service given by their staff to PAYING customers. I wouldn't be surprised if the pink hair boy is related to the store owner. Overpriced, no product variety, terrible service. read more
