I had and appointment but was running late due to previous appointment so I called in and per the office was told that I had a 10-minute grace period. I got there at the 10 minute mark to be told that Dr. Raza has a 9 minute grace period and that my appointment was cancelled. I asked them to please ask if they could please reconsider since I've been a patient of hers for many years and never have I been late. They stated that they could put me on a waiting list. It amazes me that they couldn't take me knowing that I always wait in the back room for no less than 20 minutes and maybe have a visit with the doctor for 10-15 minutes, which is ok because I was comfortable with her. Has anyone used Dr Kelly Shortridge for Bariatric surgery? If so, how was he? The Dr I'm going to is good, but I'm afraid I won't get my surgery when I want it which is in December. I have health issues and I just want to feel better and look better. Most of all, be able to enjoy life without the knee and back pain I get from being over 70lbs over weight. It was 100lbs a few years ago but I've lost some weight, but then gain it back. I feel like a yo yo. Thank you! (I gave a 3 star bc I do use Abrazo, but not with him). read more

My children had been seen by Dr. Evans. He is no longer with the practice and no one in the practice is willing to see them, even for a mandatory school vaccine or nurse visit. I would understand if they were not accepting new patients, but they all are. They are just not anyone who had been seen by their previous physician so by no fault of my own I am without a provider looking for school vaccines. read more

Excellent service. Dr. Bessette listens to his patients, and unlike many doctors, he understands mold and mycotoxicity. Dr. Bessette helped me and our two boys recover after we three were exposed to Aspergillus in a water damaged school. His staff is prompt and responsive. I made an appointment in February 2021. The appointment was accepted for May 13, and all the necessary paper work was filled. Today, I received a call that the doctors office, stating she does not accept new patients. The most rude, most unprofessional person called. I tried to find out why I was not notified before. Naturally, I did not receive an answer as the phone was hung up on me. People tend to forget that I am the patient paying their salary. I know I will obtain better treatment outside this medical group. read more

GRATEFUL!! FIVE STAR CARE!!! I have been dying from a chronic cough for almost a week now. My usual PCP couldn't fit me in this week so I turned to Abrazo. The only location that could get me in last minute on a Friday night was the Goodyear Location (please note that I live in Scottsdale and work in downtown Phoenix, so rush hour was definitely in my future) I was running behind because of traffic and I called to let them know, they were SO INSANELY polite about it, I was ready for an annoyed and monotone "ok." But instead they were pleased and understanding, something you don't usually find at the end of the work week late on a late Friday afternoon. I walked in and was greeted by Ryshema and Ramona, let me tell you... these girls MULTITASK! Greeting me, answering phones, organizing paperwork, checking people in.... ROCKSTARS. (There was another woman with long dark hair wearing dark magenta scrubs who was also hustling... I wish I had gotten her name but I was feeling so lousy I forgot to ask!) I got called back immediately, and within 3 minutes of my vitals being checked, my NP Roxanne was there to help. She was thorough and patient, she answered all my questions and put me at ease. Having a chronic cough is stressful enough, add talking on the phone for 12 hours a day as a career, well it doesn't go too well together. I swear, if Goodyear wasn't over an hour commute from my home and work, THIS WOULD BE MY NEW DOCTORS OFFICE, in fact, I just might make it a point to head that way next time I am feeling sick. This place is a joke. So horrible that there's no point staying angry, you just have to laugh. I had an appt in November. Got here early. Then waited. And waited. Kept waiting. I get called to the desk and told there is some sort of emergency with a patient and that it will be "a bit" before I'm called back. I ask if "a bit" is 5 minutes or an hour. She says she doesn't know. I ask her if she will go find out. Nope! She won't. Literally shrugged at me. Said I could reschedule. Oh goody. So! I rescheduled. Soonest was January & here I am. Before this appt they sent emails to check in online. Then text messages (which I never authorized) to check in online. I checked in online. I arrive. Go to front. Get told I had to be here a half hour early. WTF?!? Nowhere in those emails or texts did it say anything about a half hour. She tells me she has to go ask if I can still be seen. Now, I am currently staying in Gilbert to take care of someone in a very bad car accident. I drove over here for this appt. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION!!!!! They actually have a sign saying their goal is five stars. Ha!! Epic fail. read more

Took our 17 yr old in for a new Pt visit on some concerns we had with him. VERY friendly staff and was seen within mins of our scheduled time. Dr pramhus was very thorough and straight forward. He put in referrals and within hrs of leaving I was setting up appointments with specialist. Very happy read more

Sad they call themselves medical care. New patient appointment required to be seen by Dr. Bill Evans here. After going over my medical history for 10 minutes (which I spent 30 minutes putting into the portal for them) I'm sent on my way. When checking out I was told to be sure to call 1 month before scheduling appointments as they are very busy. Really? Not good. Charged me $417 for the 10 minute appointment. Find a different medical group. Abraza too big and only concerned about the money. read more

Was recommended by a friend since i'm new in the area and i was looking for a doctor. I was able to make an appointment and waited 2 weeks to be seen but never was told that new patients MUST check in 30 mins before their appointment. I arrived 15mins before my appointment with Roxane and she said she was not able to see me anymore. I'm upset that i waited 2 weeks to finally be seen and because of their mistake of not informing me, i couldn't be seen that day AND next available appointment was in another 2 weeks. read more

I rarely leave reviews on here, but my experience here was ridiculous. I did the online check-in for my appointment with their nurse practitioner and showed up to my appointment about five minutes early because I was not told any differently in the numerous reminder emails. I was told "Sorry, you're a new patient and must arrive thirty minutes early. I'll have to reschedule you for April 10th." Seriously? I'm sick. I'm not going to wait weeks to get better because of your mistake in not telling me to arrive 30 minutes early. read more

I still arrived 15 minutes early and they turned me away because they check in their waiting line so slowly and it pushed me beyond my appointment. This is a medical group that cares more about the paperwork side of healthcare than the patient care side of it. As a registered nurse, I feel that I know what to look for in a competent and caring Doctor's office, and Abrazo medical group of Goodyear, is neither. I had my first appointment scheduled at 4:20, and I walked in the door at 4:17. Without hesitation I was told that I would need to reschedule because they wanted me there 30 mins early. Was I ever told that this was required of me? No. Looking back in my confirmation emails and texts was there any mention of this? No When I explained how important this appointment was to me and that I had to do a lot of arranging with childcare of my 8 month old, and my crazy nurse schedule to make it, they simply did not care. I don't understand how a dr's office could turn away a patient who is ON TIME to their appointment. I also believe that if they're going to have a "policy" as harsh as refusing treatment to a patient for not being 30 mins early, it's something that should be told to the patient at the time of booking and included in their confirmation emails and texts, or the appointment should just be made for 30 mins earlier. When I stated this to the supervisor, she just laughed and said she agreed. We have so many choices with where we can go for healthcare people! Please don't settle for a place like this! As frustrating as this experience was, it was also a blessing that I saw them for what they were right away and I'm able to get care elsewhere. read more

This office is horrible after all the doctors left I was a patient for years and now I tried to go see another practitioner but the people at the front office are so rude on the phone and in person. It's no wonder all the staff left this year. Sad. read more

Check in Process was horrendous..... If you are a new patient it should be their goal to put your best foot forward and make an impression, not the case here. I booked an appointment thru Zocdoc 48 hrs in advance, I walked in 15 minutes prior to appointment time and I'm immediately told that I was late to my appointment because I should have been there 30 mins prior to appointment time. I never received any notice from anyone at this office about being there earlier, if they want to apply this policy they need to state their policy via phone, email, or when the appointment is confirmed. No one bothered to do so. But when checking in it was mentioned to me at least 4 times, it was such an inconvenience for them to check me in 15 mins earlier. Lady helping me wanted to reschedule my appointment. At this point I was ready to leave but I was told that the doctor would see in anyways. Needless to say I will not be returning here. read more

I got two texts telling me to show up for my apt at 9:20. I showed up 10 minutes earlier than the text at 9:10. I waited in line for 12 minutes in a waiting room that had more than 20 people waiting around, many of them coughing loudly without wearing masks. Finally getting to a receptionist, she told me I was supposed to be here at 8:50 and so my appointment has been automatically cancelled. I showed her the 2 texts but it made no difference to her, she wouldn't admit or see any problem with their system, as if I was supposed to have figured out the time they expected me despite their texts the day before. I won't go back, if they can cancel my doctor appointment arbitrarily without any due process, then how can I rely on seeing a doctor when I need to? read more

Zero Stars!!!! I honestly should have known better. I read the reviews and should have heeded and, quite frankly, my personal experience with the "lead in" to this appointment was close to a nightmare. Here's my story: I was referred to a doc there by a friend of mine. She loved the doc. The intended appointment was for a well-woman check up (you know a few minute pap and a breast exam = 15 mins tops (especially since I didn't have "other" issues)). So I made the appointment a month ago and have been waiting since for them to send me the "Patient Portal" invite in my email...NOPE never came (I know now why, but we will get to that). This group had NO PROBLEM blowing up my phone with check in requests and requirements less than 24 hours before my appointment via my cell phone. I fulfilled the request and noticed that they had my first name wrong Perez instead of Terez. They also had no problems calling me and leaving me a voicemail telling me that they were having trouble getting the insurance to go through...gee, I wonder why...might it be because you have the WRONG name (which I tried to fix when I went through the lengthy "check in process" via my smart phone). The wrong name was also the reason that they got my email wrong and why I didn't get the patient portal invite. Moving on...I called the lady that called me about the insurance and was greeted my a LONG automated standardized message telling me their address and that on Mondays they experience high call volumes, yad, yad. It tells me that in order to speak to the lady that called me about my insurance not going through because of THEIR mistake I would have to wait 7 minutes. I wait and 1 minute until my turn, their phone system hangs up on me. I call back and hear the same lengthy automated message about the address and so on for it to now tell me that I have to wait another 11 minutes. NOPE! I left a message providing ALL the information the lady needed and I told her in the message that the reason my insurance was not going through was because THEY have my first name wrong (essentially, I solved THEIR problem). I hear nothing back. Then I get another phone call from a nasty and I mean NASTY appointment reminder person indigently telling me that I MUST be there 30 mins prior to my appointment or "YOU WILL NOT BE SEEN BY THE DOCTOR". Assigning, but ok. I leave my home at 9:30 am to be there by 10:10 because God forbid I am one minute late for the 30 minute premature arrival requirement. I was greeted by a really sweet lady and she promptly informed me that my insurance said that I was "ineligible" (NOT TRUE) I said that is because you guys have my name wrong (the fifth time I am having this conversation) she acknowledged this to be true and said "they have your email wrong too" yep, because my name is part of my email address. SHe handed me paper work to fill out still with the wrong name on it! UGH!!! She them informed me that the specific doc I was scheduled to see was already 1 hour behind and that there were 3 patients ahead of me. I said okay....so that means I have zero chance of being seen until at least 11:40a? Let's do the math....already an hour behind and three patients still ahead of me with let's be kind and guess for. at least, 15 minute appts each...that extends my being there before I am even taken back by nearly 2 hours (to sit in the waiting room, from being there 30 minutes early?). So in total, I needed to allocate a minimum of say 210 minutes (or 3.5 hours ,travel time included) of my day for an appointment that should take 15 minutes MAX! NOPE! I was told that the doc would try to "catch up" meaning skimp on the appointments between now and when I was to be see or even then for that matter. I waited until 11:15 (which was over an hour of my arrival) and did the math in my head and paired that with a doc trying to "catch up" and not feeling all that confident in the care I might be getting because the staff was playing "catch up". I BET they try to bill me. I BET I will not go down easy with that. Like many others before me stated in their reviews...run, do not walk, run...don't even bother going there unless you have a possible half a day or more to waste. My name was never fixed, I have no idea if the insurance thing ever got worked out and I never saw the doc (she might be a great doc, but I would have no way of knowing). I am now going to go try to catch up on my life and the things I needed to be doing during the 2 hours that were wasted. They suggest that they strive for a 5 star rating (as a stanchion sign they have suggests). If I could give zero stars I would but I guess 1 star might be fair because, at the very least, they are available to people in need and, though most have a similar experience as I did, some don't and that's a good thing. read more
