1 Star I rarely leave 1-star reviews, so when I do, it means I was genuinely dissatisfied with my experience and would not return. To be fair, I had a positive experience with Dr. Taffet, and my son's ear tube surgery at St. Joseph's went very smoothly. However, the repeated issues I encountered with the front office staff and communication ultimately overshadowed the positives. My first experience with the office set the tone. I arrived 7 minutes late due to traffic within their parking lot while trying to manage a sick one-year-old with a 101-degree fever from recurrent ear infections and a very active two-year-old. I understand that I was late and that office policies must be followed, but the front desk employee was extremely dismissive and showed no empathy for the situation. I was turned away and told to come back later that afternoon. Another concerning experience occurred 15 days after my son's ear tube surgery. He developed what we later learned was an allergic reaction to anesthesia. When I called the after-hours line on a Saturday, I was told they only assist patients who are within 14 days of surgery. After explaining the situation, the representative eventually agreed to help but repeatedly stated that she would "get in trouble" for doing so. As a worried parent, that was not reassuring. The most frustrating experience involved my son's ongoing ear infections after tube placement. Multiple antibiotics had failed, and I left a voicemail explaining that I work night shift, sleep during the day, and I asked that my husband be contacted ASAP. No one called him that day. When I woke up and called the office, I was met with some of the rudest customer service I have experienced in healthcare. I was given no help before the office closed. My son spent the entire night awake and crying from an untreated ear infection. The next morning, we were simply told to use Ciprofloxacin ear drops that we ALREADY had at home. This information could have been communicated in under two minutes the evening before and would have saved my son a painful night. My baby developed full body hives immediately following his surgery, and we thought the cause was the Cipro ear drops, so that's why I was hesitant to give them. Turns out it was just the anesthesia, but we had no way of knowing that until we tried the Cipro drops again. I have worked in healthcare for 10 years, and what stood out most throughout these experiences was the lack of communication, empathy, and basic customer service. While I appreciated Dr. Taffet and had a positive surgical experience, the repeated issues with the office staff and follow-up care were significant enough that I would seek a different ENT provider in the future. read more

Made an appointment with these clowns for a ENT visit on 4/23/26. Supplied all requested information, including insurance information. Be advised the computer program will not let you complete the reservation until the insurance information is complete. I get a call in the late afternoon the day before that they are cancelling my appointment with no explanation other than claiming they had no insurance information which they in fact already did. I suppose you have to read English to understand the entries so I'm out luck. I would never consider using this service, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. This company obviously does not take your time seriously. read more

I recently visited Biltmore ent, facial plastic & allergy for an ENT consultation for my daughter and I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism, efficiency, and care provided throughout her visit. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were welcoming and organized. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated how punctual the office was--her appointment started right on time, which is always a good sign of a well-managed practice. PA-C Patricia was exceptional. She took the time to listen carefully to my daughter's symptoms, asked thoughtful follow-up questions, and explained the diagnosis in a clear, easy-to-understand way. My son had a hearing test at this office; however we never got the results. We had an appointment, but when we arrived they told us we had no appointment. Then we attempted to schedule another one and was told we needed a referral. They tried to get a referral; however, our primary care doctor did not provide one. I've seen Dr. Taffet since I was a child and now as an adult I feel super confident in him and his office. I went in without a referral to see him for breathing issues and same day he was able to DX me and walk through my treatment plan. I am post op day 5 from my procedure and feeling better than I have in 20 yrs. The office staff was amazing and so understanding when scheduling this procedure. Very disappointed in this clinic. I had a procedure rescheduled 3 times. The first time was due to no prior authorization on file. Second time was due to being late 5 mins which I had called in advance that we were running late and all they said was we had no grace period and we had to reschedule. We were then transferred to reschedule for the 3rd time. We show up on that day only to find out we were never put on the schedule. They took no accountability for it and said we had to reschedule again. This is super frustrating no accommodation was given even though it was their fault. This office doesn't care. They lack patient service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had an appointment today and two ladies front desk were not professional my appointment was at 8 and only got late 5 minutes because I was looking for the suite number I got late so I told her my appointment at 8 and the lady that was next to her said oh we can't let you in because we're busy and only 2 patients were sitting one was in front of me just checked in and the other one was sitting so it really pissed me off how they tried not letting me get checked in because there is no way doctors office doesn't give at least 10 minutes time and the office opens at 8 I have worked in doctors office and there is no way they do that with a patient so I'm really surprised how they did that and I had to reschedule my appointment i hope from this message you guys get this problem figured out with your front desk helper. read more

If your pediatrician referred you here, ask to go somewhere else. This practice is not equipped for children. We were referred for a hearing test for our 15 month old to rule out hearing issues for his speech delay. The first appointment occurred when he was around 16 months old. First of all, they schedule the hearing testing separate from an appointment with a doctor- what a great opportunity to get double the copay from you and bill your insurance twice. During the hearing test they tried a few different times to get results but my son was crying and it was making things difficult. I had a suspicion that they were unable to get good results so I asked and both ladies gave each other a look and then one of them said "yeah I think so". Well, turns out they in fact did not get ANY RESULTS. They made us drive all the way back two weeks later, pay another copay just to tell us they didn't get results and are not equipped to assess hearing for a young toddler. What really grinds my gears, is I called their office before the appointment to ask if there were even results for us to come in for and they wouldn't tell me. This play is just an absolute joke. I worked in healthcare for 3 years and would never allow a patient to come in if we didn't have results. I'd call and tell them, have the doctor reorder whatever was needed, and reschedule. There was no offer to try again, no offer to refer somewhere that we could get results (not until after we paid the $50 and say the "doctor"). I will be letting my pediatrician know what occurred here so that they can find somewhere better to refer out to. Do not waste your time here! read more

Hubby saw Dr Alessandro. Very satisfied with the front office greeting was nice and the decor was fun as Halloween is coming. The MA took hubby back explained a lot of what would happen. Then the doc came in and did a quick scope to see his sinuses, tonsils and throat. Explained a lot to him and prescribed nasal spray, acid reflux meds and neti pot. Hubby is feeling better. We had our first appointment in August 2024 for my 1.5 year old to see about maybe needing ear tubes due to her ear infections. The doctor wanted her to have some texting done, but they were booked out to October. We went in October and that test was inconclusive. They didn't have anything else until January! Unfortunately my daughter got very sick and they did not have anything else until the end of March. Here we are 2 days before our appointment and they called me to tell me the audiologist wouldn't be there for our appointment and we'd have to reschedule. To be seen at this location, it was going to be another couple of months before we could be seen again! Since my daughter thankfully hasn't had any ear infections lately, I went ahead and cancelled the appointment. If she needs an ENT in the future, I will go anywhere but here. I can breathe! After living with a deviated septum most of my life and only being able to breathe out of one nostril I finally met with Doctor Taffet at had it fixed. I can now breathe out of both nostrils and it is amazing. I even notice a huge difference with my ears dealing with altitude and exercising. Doctor Taffet was great and the surgery went off without a hitch. I really didn't even need the pain meds. Highly Recommend. The office staff was also very friendly and helpful. read more

I am a patient of Dr.Taffet. Last October he performed the RhinAer procedure on me. It has made an Amazing difference in my life! I no longer take sinus meds or need a box of tissue on my night stand. I am so happy not to have mucus drainage all the time. Dr.Taffet is an amazing person and surgeon. I highly recommend this procedure. My Biltmore experience was Top Shelf from the staff, and Dr.Taffet. And, yes I would do it again, as long as Dr.Taffet performed the surgery. Due to prior injuries I had been having issues breathing thru my nose wanted to get it checked out did a quick google search and found this Dr office close to my house called and made an appointment with Dr.Taffet turned out I had a diviated septum 2 weeks later went in for surgery I was not sure what to expect after the recovery and Honestly it changed my life I can breath a lot better I dont wake up exhausted anymore I would definitely recommend Dr.Taffet and his office in goodyear read more

I've never dealt with such a horrible office as this one. I don't know how you people get trained but all of you need to be retrained and you all need to be on the same page. No of you know your left from your right and everyone throws everyone under the bus instead of taking accountability. Due to YOUR mistakes my appointment got cancelled twice, 1st time some genius scheduled my appointment wrong the 2nd the dr called out and even then I decided to give a shot biggest mistake!!! Not only did I have to wait until the end of the month for my baby to be seen when I called in July!! But apparently this genius staff doesn't know you guys don't see babies under 6 months!!! Then each time I called I was on hold for over 16 minutes some staff you have, I'd fire them all and start fresh with people that are competent. I'm not trying to be rude but you guys wasted my time when this could've been prevented but due to YOUR MISTAKES I got my time wasted. I wish each and every one of you the same service wherever you go so you can understand and hopefully make changes because I'll tell you right now non of you would stand this kind of service for yourself. I'm beyond livid and your staff has ZERO COMPASSION!! Icing on the cake the dr was running 30-45 minutes late!! Really?! How is this possible? Dr. Charous is worth the wait to see him. I have serious and bad sinus issues for years. I have already had 3 surgeries with a previous Dr., so I came here for a 2nd option. I didn't want another surgery! It sucks!!! So Dr. Charous was 30 mins for our appt, but he did take his time to review my records and listen to me. We were both on the same page of putting surgery as a last resort. So we tried pills, breathing treatments, test, etc. for 4 months. He was out of options, so #4 surgery was on the table again. Did the surgery! Recovered and moving forward with treatments to prevent my allergies from flaring up to cause my sinuses to go crazies! So I am on drops for about a year now, and I am feel super! I was only down with a cold since August 2012 to today 8/10/13 (Normal my colds or flu turned into walking pneumonia or bronchitis - yeah that was my 2011 & 2012) . I have had a year of feeling like a human, no more lugging around tissue boxes. I still have several more drop treatments, but if year #1 is so good then bring it! I went to see Dr. Taffet at the Goodyear location. He asked if I would like an allergy test done if it was covered by insurance. As he left the room to check on that I heard him on his phone talking to I assume was his son about going to a birthday party. About 15 or 20 mins later an assistant came in saying I was set to go and to schedule the test with the woman up front. Come to find out that allergy test in fact was NOT covered by my insurance. Dr. Taffet is the best! I went to him because he had previously operated on my husband. My husband used to have a sinus infection at least 3 times a year, and I have to say he has not had one sinus infection since his surgery. Needless to say it was an easy choice for me to make. I ended up finding out about issues I didn't even know that I had!!!! He was able to diagnose me very quickly and surgery was really my only option. I have to say he has the best bedside manner. He's very direct & thorough but also has a great sense of humor. I knew what procedure I was having, what to expect during and after procedure,etc. He made me laugh in what was a very stressful situation. In my follow up visit, he was extremely compassionate and sympathetic to the amount of pain I was exhibiting during my packing removal. His MA (Rosa?) is the sweetest thing ever. I absolutely adore her. She is extremely caring and attentive. I've followed the doctor's instructions and have healed marvelously. I'm now getting more sleep than I every had in my life now that I have a clear airway. I didn't realize how much I couldn't breathe prior to my procedure. The difference is staggering. Dr. Taffet has certainly improved the quality of life for both me and my husband. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

This office is THE WORST when it comes to admin professionalism and if I could give it a negative 5 star I would!!!!!!! I will mention the one good thing first and then discuss the rest. So my child has been a patient for the last 11 months and did well after Dr. Bowne put in the PE tubes. Dr. Bowne has a great bedside manner so that I will definitely miss. The ones that did my kids allergy tests were very nice. HOWEVER....if I can't get in to see the ones I like, what's the point??? The schedulers and Dr. Bowne's medical assistant are AWFUL!!!!! The patient portal is useless! Voicemails are useless!!!! I have never seen such patient neglect. Literally, 5 minutes ago I got off the phone with the scheduler Azizah (or something weird like that) in which I cancelled all remaining appointments for my child and when I said I will not come back she said "ok thank you" and then hung up on me. So incredibly rude! I can't believe how little they care about who comes and goes and maintaining established relationships. Today is Wednesday and I left a patient portal message last Friday night regarding my son who needs his tonsils out. He has tonsillitis again and spiked another fever Friday of 104!!! No that is not a typo...104.8 was his highest and I almost took him to the ER. Same thing happened last month. I knew they were obviously closed until Monday BUT I did expect a reply of some sort Monday morning acknowledging the issue with an option to get an appointment. Dr. Bowne was in surgery Monday morning and no availability in the afternoon. There has been NO patient portal reply even as I am sitting here writing this review. I called and left two voicemails for Dr. Bowne's medical assistant Monday with no calls back even as of today. This office doesn't maintain a cancellation list to call patient's who need to get in so I called several times for updates. At 2:33pm, still on Monday, I called and this "Azizah" woman in scheduling told me I had just missed a 2:30pm cancellation. So while on the phone with her, I got to the office in 5 minutes and I was still told my son could not be seen even though I was in the parking lot. Then it got even worse....I asked to see another doctor in the office and I was denied because she said Dr. Bowne would have to give permission for another provider to see my son's records. This is total BS!!!!!!!! I have never heard of such a thing until Monday. She told me the PA was not available either. She said she would send a message to her supervisor regarding getting my son in to be seen as well as sending a message to Dr. Bowne's medical assistant marked as an urgent matter and, yep you guessed it, no one has called me YET. So after this happened I wasn't going to sit around and do nothing so I got on my phone and found a doctor who would see him. I called who is now the NEW ENT office at 3:20pm and got a new patient 4pm appointment Monday. Now that is someone who CARES ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!!! I will never go back to Biltmore ENT. read more

My appointment was over an hour late and then my insurance was charged $365.00 for a procedure with a national average charge or $15.00. Before I got the bill for this procedure my son went to see them. This time the appointment was 1:45 minutes late. I am very disappointed with this office, especially the front desk staff. I had an appointment booked a couple weeks in advance. The week of my appointment I have conflicting calls and messages saying I needed a referral before they could confirm my appt. I knew that my insurance does not require a referral so I called back and the person who answered said I was correct and confirmed my appointment. I show up for my appointment and was told my appointment has been canceled. I asked how that could be since I spoke with someone from the office Abe they said I didn't need a referral/ confirmed my appointment. The front desk staff was very unapologetic and unaccommodating. They checked my insurance for the 100th time and said I was correct that I didn't need a referral and that they didn't know who deleted my appointment since they didn't leave their initials. Over all really disappointed in my experience. I took the afternoon off work and planned for this appointment. They told me since they gave my appointment to someone else I was welcomed to stay and wait but that it would be a long time. I'm sure Dr. Bowne would have been excellent but I will never know since the front desk staff is so incompetent, unprofessional and unorganized. read more
