They lived up to their great reviews, from the initial contact phone call all the way to the conclusion of the installation of my new unit. Derek, the estimate technician who arrived at my home on April 23rd, was knowledgeable and addressed my questions and offered options. He was at my home for over two hours! He offered me several options, without pressuring me, simply explaining the benefits of each option. His willingness to explore my request to remove current water outflow pipe that had been on the garage floor for decades, presenting a safety risk, and route it another way outside was taken seriously and creatively. He took me through the plan and I was so pleased. The technicians who arrived the next day to do the install, Gary, James and Kauntes, were excellent workers. Gary was in charge and went over the plan with me in detail. He was able to troubleshoot a few issues and get the job done! All three of them were courteous and, without being asked, applied shoe coverings every time they entered the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Gary kept me apprised of their progress. They began working at approximately 9:15 am and did not leave my house until 6:15 pm. It was 82° outside, and a muggy 80° inside, and not getting any cooler even though the thermostat…read morewas set at 78°. The outside unit was not running at all. So we looked for an emergency AC service, and when we called Air Hawk, the owner answered the phone. Joe was pleasant, and after taking all my information, he told me Gary would be out between 2-5 to diagnose the problem. This was in sharp contrast to other calls we made and either an answering machine took our call or someone said a tech would get back to us, and didn't. Gary arrived at 2:50. He discovered a Freon leak. After putting in 3 pounds of Freon (it's not cheap), he found the leak in the condenser coil. That repair won't be cheap, but the part is under warranty. We'll only pay for labor when the part is ordered & put in. The job was done at 4:20, and the temperature inside was a cool 76°. We were so impressed with this company that we purchased the annual service agreement for a reasonable cost. We look forward to having our HVAC system serviced by Air Hawk!
