The crew arrived first thing the next morning and the job was completed by 3pm. The City of Clearwater code inspector approved their work the next week. Overall, I had a great experience with the entire staff from the receptionist, crew and owner. Everyone was patient and polite. I can definitely recommend Comfort Air. Though the AC was under warranty would be a few days living on the sun before he could get it so I opted for the one available in his truck. They were out today for an issue with my A/C that had gone down last night. I called this morning around 8:00 and they were here by 9:00 to fix the problem. They are always timely, tell me what is the matter, help me to do the right things to keep the unit running. John and Jacob are always friendly and efficient. I enjoy the interactions with Sarina in the office. She's quick to get the connections to John and Jacob on the road. I highly recommend them.

After getting estimates from 3 other companies, who spent an average 30 minutes, and could not…read moreaddress my needs, I decided to further explore highly rated air conditioner companies, and came across The Comfort Authority. They lived up to their great reviews, from the initial contact phone call all the way to the conclusion of the installation of my new unit. Derek, the estimate technician who arrived at my home on April 23rd, was knowledgeable and addressed my questions and offered options. He was at my home for over two hours! He offered me several options, without pressuring me, simply explaining the benefits of each option. His willingness to explore my request to remove current water outflow pipe that had been on the garage floor for decades, presenting a safety risk, and route it another way outside was taken seriously and creatively. He took me through the plan and I was so pleased. The technicians who arrived the next day to do the install, Gary, James and Kauntes, were excellent workers. Gary was in charge and went over the plan with me in detail. He was able to troubleshoot a few issues and get the job done! All three of them were courteous and, without being asked, applied shoe coverings every time they entered the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Gary kept me apprised of their progress. They began working at approximately 9:15 am and did not leave my house until 6:15 pm. These guys repeatedly ask for business. I had a cooler repair issues, figured I'd give them a shot,…read morethey seemed to have good reviews. They were able to come out quickly, however they have a very high diagnostic fee ($259) that is non-refundable. The techhnician that came to diagnose my walk in cooler repair only brought a multimeter, no other equipment to messure pressure. The price quoted to recharge and fix was $1869 (deducting the $259 for diagnostic, would need to pay $1600 extra). This quote included 10 lbs of freon at $1000 total. This seemed really high so I called another company who was able to recharge with 3 lbs of freon for $405 inclusive of labor. The second company told me the system likely wouldn't even hold 10 lbs of freon. The part that needed to be repaired was also different than what I was "diagnosed" by Baro's technician. All in all, very unhappy, Baro refused to refund any portion of the diagnostic fee despite their technician not diagnosing the correct problem and not having the proper tools to diagnose it.
