The conversations between the tech at this vet and someone she thought lost Gracie. They then euthanized her soon after.

They euthanized Gracie who was a healthy and well lived colony cat. No answers- only lies- I have a video of her the night they stole her and euthanized her that I told them I was happy to share- she was purring and snacking with us!

Daisy tore her ACL she received VIP care from Dr. Barri Sarowitz

Dr Monteblano and her assistant Barb are incredible! They give my dog laser treatments currently to manage her left leg after ccl was removed and knee was RE-notched. Daisy loves seeing her healthcare providers! I strongly recommend North Star Vets!

I took my female Chow there on a Saturday evening because I had clipped her back dew claw and it was bleeding severely! Everyone that I met there was incredibly caring and compassionate and helpful! Everyone! They took such great care of my dog! I was so grateful! The entire staff should be highly commended! They stopped the bleeding and even trimmed the rest of her nails for me! The vet techs were amazing, the receptionist was amazing! I will not hesitate to take either one of my dogs there again! I was so impressed with NorthStar in Brick! What an amazing veterinary hospital! Thank you so very much!

    No pain medication needed, really?!?!

Second time needing their services, second time leaving thinking, "how could they possibly charge that much for what little care they provide?" They're more likely to make you wait for hours still charge you emergency services fees, do next to nothing and send you home with a $500 bill or more. My dog literally could have died. I get it, they're busy and probably understaffed but I didn't see any other animals with their guts hanging out. They sent us home with antibiotics and an advil like drug for a dog that I can look inside and see organs. She's been crying nonstop so I called to get a stronger prescription, they said "the doctor is busy, they'll call you back. 3 hours later of hearing my dog cry and groan and no call, I call them back. They still don't have a doctor to talk to and they again say "we'll call you back." I never received a call back, never got my prescription which means I'm never going back and never letting anyone I know go there. Disgusting treatment of my baby in a lot of pain

I couldn't get an appointment at my normal vet so I took my dog chino here as he had a cyst burst in between his toes (which i didn't know at the time) which was causing him to not put any weight on it. He is a dog aggressive dog and is fearful of the vet, which makes it hard to find veterinarians willing to see him. All of the staff here accommodated him without a second thought which made a stressful experience so much easier. They also remembered him immediately when I called a few days later about another cyst that had appeared. Lengthy review but I highly recommend especially if you need a place that will accommodate your pet!

I sat there for 3 1/2 hours with my dog who had an eye infection. I explained to the dr that he needed to be muzzled so they could put medicine in his eye! They did not have any muzzles! This is a trauma center!!!! The dr proceeded to tell me that they couldn't get the medicine in his eye because he was turning blue from lack of oxogen from being traumatized by the staff Who held him down and had a leash so tight around his neck!!!! Then they had the nerve to try and charge me $251 for doing NOTHING! Never again will I ever bring my dog there! Many people I. The wiring room were complaining ! The dr wanted to do all kinds of tests on my dogs eyes ... and how did he plan on doing that?!!!! Idiots!!!!!!

Most said they couldn't help, or recommended that we get animal control to come destroy the animal. We finally found VCA Ocean County Animal Hospital. They were ready and willing to help. When we arrived with the injured animal, I could tell he would be in the hands of caring and compassionate people. The injured animal to whom no one gave a chance, now had the very best medical professionals trying to save his life. Revisited the practice in Lakewood yesterday, Minnie was seen Dr. Weinberger. Rectal exam performed per my request due to my belief Dr. Dejohn may have been too aggressive on 6/29 with Minnie's anal glands. Dr. Weinberger clinical diagnosis was a UTI. Immediately upon arriving home yesterday after the appointment Minnie began having diarrhea, vomiting, and appeared to have blood in her urine. An antibiotic was offered at the appointment but at second thought I declined the antibiotic since no evaluation of her urine to support this diagnosis. My home is inundated with diarrhea, urine and couple of areas with weird looking vomit. I was told during the visit that Dr. Dejohn said Minnie had an abscess however this is untrue as no communication, verbal or in writing, exists discussing an anal gland abscess on 6/29/26. I just called Fischer Blvd location and was told to go to an emergency veterinarian. In all honesty, I believe the right thing to do would be for me to bring Minnie in this morning to Fischer Blvd. Yes- I was upset yesterday, but not to the point that would justify Dr. Weinberger refusing to further examine Minnie, harshly exiting the exam, threatening the police on us, and being thrown out of the office. I now have to figure out how to make this right for the sake of Minnie's health. I fear Minnie's short lived life of only six is upon us. Minnie is a rescue, unfortunately I cannot attest to her exact age.

He is also 90 lbs and his size can create a unique challenge. We've struggle in the past to find a vet who would build trust and work with him vs. rushing to full sedation. I was blown away by the care we received from Dr. Koenigstein. She prescribed a comfort pack for him to take in advance of his appointment, and was very gracious when he was too stubborn to enter the exam room. She spent a great deal of time with him to make him comfortable with her. She also let me stay with my dog during the entire visit, which I think went a long way in keeping him relaxed. As a team of three (the vet tech, Ashley, was amazing too!), we soothed my dog and kept him comfortable through the exam, vaccinations, and even a nail trim. I feel so fortunate to have found this place and would absolutely recommend it to all pet lovers in the local area!

He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!
