Horrible experience. Said they would order part and never followed up and never got back to us

I never write reviews but the service is so bad I felt I had to. I have made 3 appointments to get the parts ordered installed in my refrigerator and each time Louie did not show or call to reschedule. I had to track him down and I have finally had enough. In fact when I first scheduled the appointment back on 3/16/2023 he was late and did not even bother to call and let me know he was going to be late. Absolutely not acceptable! read more

Mr. Perry from absolute appliances visited our home and told us we needed a new pump for our dishwasher. We paid him the money to purchase a new pump. For the first month or so he replied to us and said it was taking a long time to get the part from GE. Months later still no pump and he is not taking our telephone calls or answering our texts. read more

Tried to support local business but it didn't end well. After Lou's failed attempt at our washer repair, we mutually agreed on a reimbursement of our initial down payment (paid up front), minus his service call fee of $100. After multiple texts with the promise of a reimbursement check, to date (3 weeks later), we have not received the promised refund. End result for us, we needed to buy a new washing machine after Lou's failed attempt at repairing our working washing machine! (New bearings was the attempted repair). We do not recommend Absolute Appliance SVC in Easton PA due to Lou's inability to complete the repair; but, especially due to him not fulfilling his promise of a reimbursement. read more

Absolute appliance service have been a great disappointment. The owner had no problem replying to the call to fix my Appliance. After a diagnosing the problem he stated for me to pay for the part prior and it would take in approximately 2 to 3 weeks to get the parts and he will notify me upon their arrival at his location. I've asked to have the parts mailed to my home and he declined. I wrote out a check for $300 to the owner and now it has been 5 months later he has not completed the job nor wants to refund me my money. Upon calling the business number he loved to text back to state he will be completing the job which turns out to be a big lie. I am writing this write up to alert hard-working individuals about not dealing in any shape or form with this company called absolute Appliance. This is a owner who is working in our community of Northampton and stealing people's money right under their hands. We as a community need to file a court complaint against this individual to have him stop and repay clients all their money he has taken / stolen from us. Whatever you do never deal with this company called absolute solution, owner is unreliable and a public Thief. Will be seeking an attorney next. Determine to get my money back!! read more

Louie is a very experienced and considerate young man. We had few days wait for the part to come in for our washer. He ended up going to retrieve the part himself as the shipping was delayed. The washer was repaired promptly and he was very respectful with explaining the problem, solution and warranty. It seems as though people have no patience for real world pot holes that we ALL experience. Supporting local businesses entails more than hiring. Let's give a little bit of grace as they struggle to find help while learning more about the business end each day. Remember a time when you were given the benefit of the doubt? Instead of immediate frustration / anger, can we not give constructive input? read more

Initial service call was November 12, 2020, to repair my broken KitchenAid dishwasher. Lou said he would order the necessary part (for which he required that I pay up front) and complete the repair when it came in. That was almost A YEAR AGO. Contacted him last March and he said that he and his family had been sick with Covid, and the part was back-ordered. I agreed to wait. Contacted him again in September, and he said he would have the part within the week. Then heard nothing for another month. My latest email, text, and voice messages (in late October) have gone unanswered. I have been extremely patient, and this business has failed (refused) to address this issue honestly. Something is definitely wrong here, and while I will grant that Covid has caused many problems, the least the proprietor can do is afford his customer a bit of respect. If he would level with me, I would be reasonable, but the reward for my patience has been evasion, apparent malfeasance, and outright dishonesty. Too late, now. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Got so nervous when my old Whirlpool dryer stopped working. But Absolute was terrific. Pat was really helpful in getting me an appointment ASAP. Louie texted when he was on his way, quickly diagnosed the problem (which was repairable) and evening rigged something on the dryer so it works until he gets the new part. All very professional and reasonable. Will definitely use them again! read more

Stay away from this company. Want to give everyone a heads up to stay away from Absolute Appliance. He came to my house on June 2 to look at my refrigerator. Told me it would take 7-10 days for the part but due to Covid-19 problems getting stuff he needed the money up front. I was not happy about this but being a lot was going on in my house at that moment my husband and I trusted this small independent business man being we also own a business wanted to help him out. After a month of hearing nothing. We texted and called him. A week later he said the part came in and he could come in a few days. Set up a date he was a no show. After more texts said he was coming. Set another day, he came but then said there was a problem and would be back the next day. Again no show no text/call. After weeks he then said he was sick and couldn't come. Finally this past week said he would be there no matter what. Sat at home for 2 days never showed and no call/text. Finally had someone else we know come look at it. He said the first guy should of told us our fridge is not able to be fixed. So now over two months later I'm out the money and still have no refrigerator. Wish it was possible to give a zero star review because that's what this place deserves! The absolute WORST customer service. We first had them come fix our fridge on a Friday, they said they would be back with the part Monday. Waited around all day Monday, they never came. They never even had the decency to call us and let us know they weren't coming. We called them (after many tries to get through) and they told us Wednesday now instead between 8-10 am. Same thing happened Wednesday, when they told us again they would be here. After waiting around all morning, they said nevermind, it will be here in the afternoon instead. So we waited around all day Wednesday, just for them to tell us they were canceling on us Wednesday too. They then told us Friday. THEN we waited around all morning Friday just for them to call and say they weren't coming. They played games for a whole week and weren't honest or respectful. They cost us $200+ dollars in food because they couldn't have the decency to come when they promised. They say "we can't control when a part comes in" which I understand. But don't keep playing games and telling us you will be here then not show. We were cancelled on FOUR TIMES, which is completely unacceptable. This place has been nothing but a headache, they are disrespectful, unorganized, and nothing but a waste of time and money. I regret relying on these people, don't make the same mistake. read more

I contacted Absolute Appliance SVC on 9/4 to set up a service call on a refrigerator that was not working correctly. When you call them, no one answers the phone it just goes to voicemail. I left a message and received a call back within minutes. The the lady explained that there would be a $120 Diagnostic charge that would be applied to my bill if I decided to go ahead with the work. She explained that it would need to be paid in order to set up the appointment. I gave the credit card information and it was processed the next day. The service call was set up for 9/7. I received the invoice by email the next day, 9/5. I verified that because 9/7 was Labor Day, was it true that the technician would come out then, she replied yes, he decided he would work part of the day. On Sunday, 9/6 I called Absolute Appliance SVC and left a message that my refrigerator was now working properly and to cancel the service call for 9/7. I repeated myself and said again that it was working properly and cancel my appointment and please process a refund for the diagnostic call. I followed up the call with an email on their website. There was no response. On 9/7 I called again and left a message to please cancel the service all and not come out because my refrigerator was now working properly. Their phone only goes to voicemail so I left the message. I followed up again with an email. I did not receive a response to any of my messages or email and they indeed did not come out for the repair so I am quite certain my messages were received. On 9/8, I sent another email and asked that they please contact me and respond to my messages. There has been no communication in any form. I contacted my credit card company to see if a refund was processed and it was not. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company to reverse the charge. I called again today 9/14 but since the call ONLY goes to voicemail, I was not able to speak with anyone. I did not leave a message today. My conclusion is that as of today, 9/14 with no communication from them and no action to process my refund since the call was cancelled in advance, that there is no intention for them to take the proper action that a responsible, reputable business would do. This is the first review that I have every written because I've always been able to resolve situations successfully in the past but I cannot let this not be known. I would not recommend doing business with them. I wish zero stars were an option. read more

My refrigerator stopped cooling in April and I had it repaired by another repair service at that time. Last week my refrigerator was again not cooling. I called Absolute and scheduled an appointment. Louie defrosted the coils (see pictures) and ordered a thermostat for my fridge. He said it should be okay until the part was received and installed. It was indeed okay and yesterday the thermostat was replaced. My refrigerator is working just great. I'm very happy with the service, cost and result. I'd highly recommend Absolute and will certainly use them again in the future. Getting a text message saying he was in route was fantastic because it permitted me to empty my freezer into coolers and made the repair much quicker. read more

With all understanding that Covid is affecting maybe people and businesses I will say it was frustrating to work with this company. It took a long time to hear back about a part that needed to be ordered and o understand that shipping is taking a while but it still seemed long. Finally when we get get a reply there was one rescheduling the day of the appointment, two completely no shows for an appointment and the appoint they did show up for was 3 hours late. I understand it m this company might be running with a fee people but to ask someone to be home on a 4 hour window 3 times in a week and not even bother to tell you that they aren't coming two of those times is just plain neglect. To put icing on the cake after it was "fixed" the dryer does still not work. I will continue to post reviews anywhere I can until the problem is fixed like I paid for or I het a refund. read more

Louie was terrible with responding to calls and messages and also with actually showing up to appointments. He canceled our appointment more than 6 times. And once he actually did come out and diagnosed the problem, he asked for payment to order parts. As soon as I sent the check in, I never heard from him. Do NOT call this company. read more

I usually do not write reviews (as my mother always said "if you do not have anything nice to say don't say anything at all") but in this case, I feel I must. STAY AWAY FROM ABSOLUTE APPLIANCE SVC. Louis is nothing more than a crook. He was very attentive at first when I called that my ice maker was not working. He came that same day on his way home from work. He met with my husband and told him what was wrong and that he needed to order the part. He requested a $135.00 deposit which we gladly paid since he was a small local businessman (which we like to support) who came so quickly and was very personable. Normally my husband would have fixed it but since he had open-heart surgery 2 weeks prior, he could not. The part was supposed to be available in 2-3 weeks. After 4+ weeks went by with no communication. I had to call and text multiple times before he finally answered. He told me his grandmother was in the hospital. He said the part would be in next Wed and apologized for the delay. I said I understand family first. Another week went by and no call no show. I sent another message again no response. After the third week he claimed his grandmother died but he would try to be there by Friday. I gave my condolences and said I understood but if he could not come by Friday, I requested my deposit back. Again, no call no show. I waited another week (so if you are keeping track, it is now almost 8 weeks since the initial diagnostic visit). He is no longer answering my calls, text or emails. Lesson learned I wish I had looked into this company better before giving a deposit. I now see that Louis has done the same thing to several other people. After reading through other reviews, he has used every excuse imaginable! I will post this review on every site I possibly can in order to warn others. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I have a stackable washer/dryer and one day, the washer broke and started leaking all over the floor. My plumber diagnosed the problem and recommended I call Absolute Appliance. My call was handled professionally, and with care, and the owner/operator Louie came out and said I needed 2 parts. We ordered the parts, and only one came in, and we couldn't do the repairs. I've heard because of COVID manufacturing has slowed. Louie, on the weekend, contacted another company in NJ to get the necessary part and drove there on Sunday to get it. I am scheduled for him to come out tomorrow and do the repairs. Above and beyond! I am sure the repair will be handled with the same commitment and professionalism that has been afforded to me throughout the process. read more
