We were shopping around for a washer/dryer and a fridge when we stumbled across Almonte. We'd…read morestopped by several discount appliance stores and this one had the largest selection, by far. We were greeted briefly then roamed around the store checking out various appliances for about 30 minutes. The staff checked in periodically, but weren't pushy like salesmen can sometimes be. We ended up finding a nice (used) front loader washer/dryer set and a LG French door, bottom freezer (with craft ice!) fridge, which we love! The fridge was new so it came with the manufacture warranty. It had very minor scratches/dents on the side, which we didn't care about. We had a large U-Haul moving truck booked for the following day, which was a Saturday. They're closed Saturday, but they were kind enough to work with us and have someone meet us in the morning to load up the appliances. We've had the appliances for about 4 months now with no issues. I can't imagine spending full price for new appliances knowing Almonte offers such good bang for your buck!

Called the Appliance Guy because the ice maker in the refrigerator was sometimes making ice…read moresometimes not. Also, when you went to get ice thru the door we had to open & slam it to get the ice to dispense. Michael showed up as schedule and spent time diagnosing the problem. He found several possible reasons for the issues. His recommendation was to start with the most inexpensive fix first to see if that corrected the issue. So, he replaced the door switches. It worked! No more slamming the door to get ice! Just so you know the other solution was to replace the entire door which would have cost $1200. He suggestion to start with the most inexpensive solution first saved me $1000! Michael was knowledgeable about the product and potential issues and honest in his recommendations. Will not hesitate to use his service again for any appliance issues!
