If it was always this is the way it's always been done, not open to any new ideas from nursing. Everything myself as a nurse did was deciphered and broken down. The program manager and the text were even betting on how long I would stay! So sad.....If I wanted meds picked up early so patient had meds, it was a problem, , if group started while I was giving meds, I was taking too long. The program manager talks like a sailor dropping the F-bomb after every other word. The manager also stated my notes were superb, but I spent too much time with the patients! No team work when it came to nursing, it was as if nursing was a threat to their job which was very sad because they were a real well run facility in my opinion.. I am African American, I'm sure that was the problem I was not a good fit, so instead of them constantly demeaning my nursing I left. The doctor was amazing ! :-)

I cannot be more grateful with my time with this program and recovery family. I was treated with respect the moment I walked in the door. I was spoken to, not spoken at. I was given the proper tools to start reclaiming my life sober and clean. The group facilitators were attentive and I was able to process alot of the issues that hindered my lifestyle choices in therapy sessions. The individuals you work with are in recovery and their community has a strong fellowship in AA/NA meetings. The kitchen staff does a excellent job creating tasty and nutritious meals. The administration staff walks the fine line of corporate needs and patient needs. it is necessary to advocate for yourself at times, but that is actually a healthy part of your rehabilitation process in my eyes. I was a patient here for over a month, during that time I met some amazing people on their staff! One thing to consider when you're coming from a hospital environment or a critical care unit, this isn't that. You won't get a 2 second response on the call light, and your needs may be met in order received. be patient be understanding, be courteous to the staff and it will return to you tenfold. be sure to ask questions, advocate for yourself.

My dad had a not so pleasant experience several years ago and a nearby facility and when he would spend days visiting her here he was always treated like family. I understand that nobody chooses to go to a care facility but if I had to choose again, I'd definitely choose St Elizabeth! Highly recommended!!

Extremely disappointing experience during a very critical transition period…read more For days, I was trying to get basic information regarding my fiancee's discharge plan, timeline, and flight coordination, and there was little to no communication. The liaison did not respond to me for 4 days. As discharge got closer, there was still no confirmed plan, no confirmed discharge date, and no flight arranged. What was most upsetting was the professionalism. When I tried to escalate and speak with the Clinical Director to get basic discharge information, he hung up on me. He later collected himself and called me back, but that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in a setting that is supposed to support patients and families during discharge. Only after repeated escalation was I finally told flight information would be provided. This process should have been handled with far more structure, communication, and professionalism.
