I was apprehensive after reading the reviews to bring my two children here, one of which was her visit to a dentist. I took my chances and hoped for the best though as convenient the location was and as easy as it was to schedule the appts for both of my kids with such short notice. The office was beautifully decorated and comfortable to wait in. From there, I was greeted by a personable reception staff that thankfully didn't have a trace of "we are tired of this redundant job", Instead they were upbeat and helpful and later in the visit were upfront about the care my kids needed, if it really needed to be done and what insurance would cover. By the time I was done filling out the paperwork, they had both kids back and one x-rayed already. Next it was time to meet the dentist. It was his first day in the office, he was enthusiastic, as well as polite and was not intimidating to the kids. The hygienists were quick and efficient with the cleaning and we were out of there with two gift certificates in hand for being good patients. I definitely wanted to give the whole staff a compliment because too often we only hear the complaints. They ALL provided service above the standards with the time and care that they took and were so great that they deserve a nice compliment for a job very well done! In 2015 I had a crown and subsequent root canal. This was my first root canal and I did not know what to expect. The tooth never felt right afterward. Come to find out, the endodontist who treated me left one complete root untreated. The result is that I had to have the prior work and crown redone at my own additional expense. I was promised a refund of my portion, but after 6-8 weeks of phone calls to the office I was told that the business had sold to a new owner and that there would be no refund. The regional manager has yet to contact me after multiple messages that I have left. Please don't use this facility. It may be less costly up front, however you will pay more in the end. read more

THE MOST DISHONEST Dental Practice I've ever gone to! DISHONEST PRACTICES and RIP OFF ARTISTS! Absolute Dental (AD) will tell you one price, then turn around and hide the charges from you. If you do not get the cost breakdown sheet, there is nothing that can be done to dispute added on charges with your bank! MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK YOU ARE SHOWN BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE OFFICE! What happened was: I was quoted a reasonable price which included the SMILE SAVER PLAN (SSP) at $99 and discount price for an extraction because I was getting the SSP. I made the appointment, went in and filled out the paperwork, gave the girl my ID & CC. Prior to the actual procedure, I was showed the paperwork that included the breakdown of costs for the visit and extraction price and proceeded to have me sign the receipt for said amount. I did and received paperwork that included my new SSP card and a regular old CC receipt with no breakdown of charges. MY BAD! Two days later, I get a $99 charge on my bank statement and then a day after that another charge from AD for the said amount! I contacted the office and was told that the said amount was for the X-Ray and extraction only and that there was a separate charge for the SSP; that I had agreed to it and there was nothing that could be done and that I had gotten a good deal on the extraction at that! RUDE! So, now I am out $99 and cannot dispute the charge because I didn't get that breakdown sheet. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND NOR RETURN TO ABSOLUTE DENTAL! read more

I went to AD in Jan for an exam, knowing what I needed. They suggested full dentures. I was okay with that, Dr. Christopher Hook put me to sleep, and I woke up toothless. So far so good. After healing for a while, we started to molds for the dentures. I have an extremely small mouth, so they had to hunt for a small mold. Everything went well until the dentures came in.....They look like horse teeth. Like I said, I have a small mouth and the teeth are not proportional. Every time I attempt to wear them, I cannot talk, my tongue has no room to move, so obviously they are useless for eating. I went from 145 to 110 lbs. I am still toothless at this time. I spent well over $5000 for this torture. I am now contemplating implants, which will not be done by AD. read more

I went there a year ago to get my teeth done and had to go back twice. The person who did my teeth messed up and now I have to get my tooth removed. Not only that, they charged me almost $1000 and wanted to charge me again just to fix the problem. I was very upset. I just paid what I owed and never went back. It wasn't until 6 months later I got a letter from them saying I owed them additional $250 after I had paid off my expenses and their excuse was they had "forgotten" to add some expense to my billing. I had already left the job I was at and when I told them I wasn't paying them for a billing mistake, they told me my insurance should cover it; an insurance I no longer had. When I told them that, they said I was responsible for the charge. I have never been so upset before, especially after already wasting so much time and money for something that wasn't even fixed. It was a complete waste of my time to go to my scheduled cleaning. Dr. Britting's proclamation that he would be breaking the law if I got anything less than a deep cleaning, is a foolish way to educate a patient on her dental needs. While his diagnosis may or may not or be correct, the "my hands are tied b.s." are a turn off. Nobody wants a dentist this lacking in bedside manner. This seems to be a revenue-generating ploy. I'll leave that for our insurance to decide. The staff was really nice while moving at a snail's pace and wasting at least an hour of our time. I can honestly say this was the worst dental experience I've ever had, and that includes my wisdom tooth extraction and getting all my mercury fillings replaced. Seems like a sham operation. Today was my first time going into this facility and let me say this i hate dentist offices, but this one was different because they instantly made me feel at home right when i walked in....not to mention i had a chipped tooth and they fixed it with an hour when i called that morning to get an opening! My mom and I had such a bad experience here. I personally have never liked this place but today they really made me super angry. My mom had given her social to the girl in the front so we could find her in her insurance. The girl had such a disgusting attitude, all of them did but this one was beyond. She had blonde hair and her name was Natalie. Apparently she said that they could find my mom in the insurance system. So we gave another insurance we had. They charged us $50 because apparently that was our balance in that insurance. They did not explain whatsoever why and what was going on. It was our fault for not asking them to clear up things but you would think they would be nicely trained to explain to their patients. An hour goes by and one of the nice dental assistant explains to us that she went to go see what was going on with our insurance and apparently this dental office doesn't except our insurance. I was very angry at this point because "Natalie " said that they couldn't find my mom when she called the insurance when really they just didn't accept our insurance. Why couldn't she have said that? Instead of saying "they said your mom isn't under this insurance". They ended up charging us $50 for nothing. I will definitely not be coming back here again. All four ladies had the ugliest attitudes and will never get anywhere in life if they continue to act like that. It's always slow and they have terrible bedside manner. My mom waited an hour and a half in the chair after her scheduled time for a checkup. They had to schedule me again for my cleaning because the hygienist was busy and couldn't fit me in for the time they scheduled me. Now I'm here, still in the lobby, waiting 40 mins (so far!!) for my 2nd scheduled cleaning. A guy across from me has been waiting for his son for two hours, and the dentist is trying to schedule his son for an implant when they don't want one. They're pretty much denying him a bridge and not allowing the father to talk to the dentist. If you're extremely patient and enjoy being upsold every time you're here, enjoy your visit! read more

This was at the oral surgery office at 971 topsy. I had 2 abcessed teeth. Dr.Najim at this office is a 5 star, and Dr. Christopher Hock is good too. I had surgery at 9am, didn't get back there until 930am, no big deal. They put me in a room with like 5 people. I felt completely claustrophobic. They put the IV in my arm, and put me to sleep to remove the two teeth. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. They woke me up from the procedure, didn't give me ANY time to wake up. I had no idea where I was, or how I even got in the car. They should give patients at least a half hour to come to somewhat before kicking them out the door. They also put my partial in my mouth on top of my sutures which put my mouth in pain that was suppose to be numb. I did not feel important at this office. I felt the only important factor was money. The staff aside from the Dr was pushy, and I didn't care much for any of them. I'm really disappointed. There was no bedside manner here. Even when I asked to schedule the surgery, I asked for a later time due to my schedule. They said simply because I'm diabetic, they have to schedule it early. So, I asked for a later time due to having nobody available to dtivve me, and they scheduled it early even when I demanded they don't! I was completely irritated and the disregard for my needs between scheduling and trying to wake up after my face was getting wrenced on. read more

I visited this location on a thurs with a bad infection they saw me as. Walking and prescribed me antibiotics and pain med because the pain and infection had me in tears. They made an appt for me to have the extraction at the market street location on Monday. I showed up to that location and my copay was apparently over 600 bucks which I was willing to pay but I did not get paid until 5pm Monday night and again I was in tears because the infection and swelling were getting worse and they would not extract my tooth and run a copy of my debit card to run at 5pm and sent me crying hysterically and told me they would do nothing until they were Paid first and if I needed anything for pain I had to finback to roost location. I was in such extreme pain and my bf said he was taking me back to the other location. Not only did they ageee to have a dentist see me again but also due to I had been on antibiotics for 4 days the dentist and the office manager agreed to do the work and Billy debit card for the following morning. The work was done very quickly and they processed the agreed payment the next morning. I was so thankful for they recognized the absolute agony and pain and did the right thing as I was in the worst pain I'd ever felt and they truly took the time and worked with me and relieved the pain I was begging for help and extract the tooth. Some reviews on here are not very good but this office absolutely went above to help a patient and I am so thankful for the staff from the receptionist to the office manager Connie I believe, to the dentist on duty and I want them to know how much they helped me. They are much different than the market street office who couldn't have cared less and watched me walk out crying while the topsy lane Cared about me as a patient and I will absolutely go back to them as my dentist going forward. This dental group is based on overcharging on every service that they delivet. They demanded that I get two expensive crowns that I probably didn't need. They then demanded that I get a "deep cleaning" of my teeth at a cost of $1500.00. I refused their demand to get the deep cleaning. I had an appointment to get a $100.00 cleaning which was covered by my insurance. I showed up for the cleaning and the hygienist agreed to give me a normal cleaning. Then the office manager came out an argued with me while I sat in the exam chsir. She said I had to get the $1500.00 cleaning. I said no and they made me get out of the chair and leave thei office. They over billed me for the crowns. They billed me for a cleaning that I didn't get. These people are frsuds and rip off artusts. I'm never going back... and the public should be forewarned. Poor customer service. my crowns were poorly gitted, They left glue all over my crowns that I can't remove. I can't floss between the teeth with new crowns. read more

The dentist is obviously inexperienced she completely botched A tooth extraction! Leaving many pieces in my gums and severely bruising my jaw. Recovery time was much longer and more painful than it should be. Not to mention when the several large pieces of tooth tried to push out of my gum, my mouth stayed extremely full of pain and swelling for a long time and I had to dig the pieces out myself. My complaint of pain made no difference to the dentist or the staff, and made me feel as though I was seeking drugs, they didn't even try to get me an appointment to see what was wrong until almost a week later when I called back for the 4 time complaining! Then she took a look at my x ray, not even looking into mouth for swelling or infection and told me to go home and everything is fine! But this isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with the dentists at Absolute, 3 precious dentists at these offices and all have been horrible! I won't go back and am seeking a better dentist! Don't risk going there it isn't worth it, terrible service and even worse dentistry! Also, she tried to pull my tooth before I was numb! On my 4th visit, with half my procedures completed, I was denied service. THEY LEFT ME IN THE MIDDLE OF TREATMENT. I had made all payments to that point. Staff here is welcoming and accommodating.The first dentist I saw here did bridge work that was not up to par. I came back and the new dentist Dr. Dinh fixed the problem and she was gentle and took her time with what needed to be done. She was so fabulous that I asked for her to be my dentist for all future visits. I would have given less than one if that was an option! I made an appointment for a cavity on 11/8/2020. When I showed up, they had me sign a form regarding COVID-19 and one of the questions asked if I had been on a plane in the last 14 days and I had been on a plane 11 days ago so i was honest and they decided I should re-schedule. I was a bit annoyed as the operator who made my appointment should have asked that before scheduling me, especially as i told her I was coming from CA so had to take a day off work for the appointment, but what ever i get it this is all new to everyone and it's better to be safe then sorry, and they were able to get me in on the following Monday. I stated that I was in pain and was concerned that the tooth was infected and asked if I could get any antibiotic to take until Monday. They gave a number for a tele-dentist who only served NV residents, so i had to make up a fake address in Carson City in order to get antibiotics for the tooth as I know they wouldn't have been able to do anything for me on Monday if i had an active infection. on 10/12, I arrive for my 12pm appointment, get x-rays taken and the dentist and assistant sat behind me, looking at the x-rays and were whispering back and forth about it without ever showing me what the issue was or talking to me about anything. She pops around and tells me that the issue is my wisdom teeth, and i need to have them all removed. I asked if I needed to have oral surgery or if I could just have them pulled as I have no insurance, I'm in pain, and I've already missed 2 days of work so would like to have it fixed asap. She said she'd try but if it looked like it she'd damage a nerve she would stop and recommend their oral surgeon. She popped the top out with no issue and when she got to the bottom, she broke the tooth 3 times while trying to pull it, and that is when she decided that I needed an oral surgeon to extract the tooth. Their earliest appointment for that was 11/11, a month later! I said am I going to be ok waiting for a month with a broken tooth? She said oh yeah you'll be fine. I asked if I could get some pain meds and antibiotics to again, avoid any infection and pain and she gave me a 5 day prescription for ibuprofen 800 and a prescription for antibiotics that were so expensive without insurance that I didn't even fill it. The assistant mentioned that if I smoke I should wait 24-48 hours, but other than that no after care information was provided to me on how to deal with the hole in my gum from the tooth they pulled, or the broken tooth that was still in my jaw. It turns out she left me with an exposed root in the broken tooth, and i was in such intense pain that i called a few days later to check if they had anything open up sooner than 11/11. I was placed on hold and told i could go in that afternoon. I asked if I could get an idea on pricing so I could be prepared and was placed on hold for 10 minutes, than the girl picked up the line again and said that actually they were unable to see me until 11/11 after all. I said ok and asked again for the price of the work, so put me back on hold for a while, picked the line up again and said someone would be calling me back that day with a price. Of course I never heard from the office again. I had to call every oral surgeon I could in town to see if I could be seen any sooner than the 11th and was able to get an appointment with a more professional office closer to home, one specifically designated for oral surgery, and they had availability within the week, so my broken tooth can be removed and I can put this awfulness behind me. Oh yeah and that cavity I went in for originally...it was in a completely different tooth, so that is still an issue and is still causing me pain, and now because of this whole mess the money that i had to spend to fix that was spent on getting 2 wisdom teeth removed that while they needed to be removed eventually, were causing me no direct pain or issues currently, and did not need to be removed at this time. I'm worse off now than I was going into this office. Read the reviews and do your research before subjecting yourself to this unorganized and unprofessional office with a terrible dentist! The only good thing I can say is that the dental assistant was very nice, very professional, and seemed to know what he was doing other than that this is without question the worst experience at a dental office I have ever had! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! I originally went in knowing that I was going to need some work done. The $49 "exam" is b.s... they take the xrays and the dentist comes in for literally a minute just to poke his finger in your mouth and say "yup you need a deep cleaning and need a couple fillings." I schedule my deep cleaning and fillings in JANURARY. My first THREE appointments were cancelled 45 minutes before my appointment because either their systems were down or the hygienist wasn't in. Come March, they still haven't done s***. April comes and I finally get my fillings done... but only on one side! So they schedule me for the other fillings and reschedule my deep cleaning. Appointment comes up and they have to reschedule AGAIN! June arrives and I finally get my deep cleaning ONLY ON ONE SIDE, and guess what... they can't do the fillings after a deep cleaning. To add to the s*** storm of that appointment, the office lady comes in with the words no one wants to hear, "the price for everything went up". Ya maybe if I didn't have to wait 6 months for a CLEANING that the doc said NEEDED to be done soon asap, maybe there wouldn't be additional work to be done. I voice my opinion to her and tell her I've been waiting 6 months for everything. She ended up taking $140 off of the $540 bill... not much but it's something. (By the way, that $540 was only for ONE side of my mouth). So after that appointment I schedule the other half of my deep cleaning... surprisingly they didn't reschedule! One of the young front office chicks is dense as all hell, believe her name is Desiree. Giving incorrect info, misspelling names, not setting up my payment plan. Seriously, how do you completely butcher the spelling of a name when it's written correctly right in front of you? She obviously "googled" her way through school to get her degree... SMH. The young guy and the other woman (Lori?) are both great though. The hygienist that comes from Reno and the dentist are both amazing and kind people, so no complaints there. My problem mainly lies with the front office and the company itself. The original total I was given was $1300 for EVERYTHING... here I am 7 months later almost $3000 out of pocket with only half (2/4) of my fillings done and a deep cleaning... this place sucks! ***UPDATE (2 MONTHS SINCE LAST APPT.): I now have 2 loose teeth that were luckily able to be fixed by a different local dentist and the filling from my cavity is already gone. The cavity looks like it was never even fixed. The dental assistants need to learn how to do the work when the dentist is telling them to set the filling. The new dentist I visited told me that the work done was half-assed and the deep cleaning wasn't even finished on one side and ended up doing a complimentary deep cleaning since he felt bad that A.D basically robbed me. THANKS ABSOLUTE DENTAL. Went in with minimal problems, came back with loose teeth and half-assed procedures thanks to inexperienced staff! Although the initial exam is more affordable then most dentists, do yourself a favor and pay the extra upfront somewhere else. The atmosphere is very disorganized and unprofessional. They will start you on procedures before you even have time to say no. The receptionists are rude and could not answer any of my questions when I asked about what they offered for whitening procedures and prices. Said they would call back with answers for me and never did. They even called me 20 minutes before one of my appointments to tell me I had to reschedule after calling me multiple times the day before to confirm the appointment. They will charge you $25 for a copy of your xrays to take if you switch dentists. The quality of their prints are useless to other dentists who use up to date technology and equipment. I have to admit, the staff were friendly. The only thing that I really feel uncomfortable is that they push to have service(s) done (e.g., cosmetic). When you are retired and on a flat income, you want everything upfront. My husband was scheduled for another cleaning and just because he had a deep cleaning they automatically assumed that he has to have one again. When asked about the cost and if his insurance covers, they said "no" as he had 1 deep cleaning per year so this one is out of pocket and they wouldn't know the cost till he comes over and get assessed. My other concern is that, not just with this dentistry, but when you go to another dentist and you are a new patient-- why do they have to make it mandatory to have a full ex-ray even if you have it within a year? They could also request your info. from another dentist not to be subjected to unnecessary costs and pain. The insurance company covers part of it, if not the whole amount only once a year ( or for some insurance, once every 2 years.) I brought my 6 year old in to a consult exam and two minutes after telling the doctor that I was suspicious of an extra tooth, he grabbed a metal tool and yanked a tooth out of my sons mouth without any anesthetic... The tooth was not the slightest bit loose. It was horrible and I had to hold my sons legs down. The doctor immediately put his back pack on and left for the day! The nurse had me sign a dental survey consent form AFTER the horrible dentist yanked his tooth out. Now my kiddo is terrified of the dentist... Do not take your kids to this place... Terrible dental office. I needed a root canal and went in for their $39 exam. Every employee was miserable. The front desk ladies complained to me when I was checking in and the entire I sat in the lobby which was about 45 minutes (I don't blame them they probably make slave wages). Finally I get my name called and the hygienist is just as miserable. She doesn't introduce herself, doesn't say hello, ask how are you today, doesn't smile, making it very uncomfortable. The hygienist takes me to the dental chair and I ask her how she is and the hygienist tells me she is sick and doesn't like working at absolute dental. We get to talking about my tooth and the hygienist proceeds to take an x-ray, I don't know what was happening but it seemed like she wasn't getting a good x-ray. The hygienist then become very irritated projecting as if it was my fault she wasn't getting an x-ray, she tried 8 times before angrily storming off and about ten minutes later I met the dentist. The dentist told me I needed a root canal or a tooth extraction and to see the ladies up front for pricing and scheduling. I get quoted $2800 for a root canal and she didn't know how much a tooth extraction would cost. How could you not know the price of a service you offer??? At this point I just wanted to get the Hell out of their office and continue to pay $39 for my exam. I had the lady $40 and she didn't have any change to give me!!! They couldn't for some reason find $1 change to hand back over to me. The best they could do was offer me a $1 credit haha! This place is joke makes me wonder how sanitary their equipment is and what kind of competence they have when providing treatment. first the staff was rude. Left me waiting in the chair for about 20 mins 2 times. after i was seen i found out i needed a root canal. The billing woman told me with my insurance it would be 1,200 dollars............. lie. they cover 80%. I'm going to Mark Allen in Minden and its only costing 200 or less. I wish to heaven I'd read these reviews first. There is danger here. Beware! This dentist disfigured my teeth. I lost a filling. They talked me into a cap. Paid cash (70% discount is a ruse). Medicaid won't cover cost. Dentist shot me in gum into my nostril. I developed blisters all around my mouth the following two weeks after. The temporary cap applied by technician. The filling fell off the next day as did the cap, breaking what was left of my tooth even more so that the 700$ cap was no good "but, he could file down two more teeth and install a bridge!' Well, he is not a "tooth saver". He is a monster who wants money from the poor. He took my tooth which cannot ever be repaired without destroying two perfectly good teeth next to it. And, it is my fault that my teeth are 62 years old with wear. My fault my teeth now became brittle? My fault my teeth won't support a cap? I have three other caps which I've had for 20+ years! I have never lost a filling! They did not use the blue light to set the mixture either! This is a fake dentist as far as I'm concerned and you best beware. A dentist in business for one year? Got his license from some other country. My son later told me he went there and ended up in the emergency room. I would have gone to emergency if my insurance paid for it. BEWARE DANGER! DANGER!
