Annual maintenance is recommended but early on, it is probably not absolutely needed and only verifies that the water quality is being maintained as advertised. The cost for a non-back flush system to have a water test is around $80 and takes less than 10 minutes. (Drops of reagent in test tube of water). Recognizing that there are overhead costs associated with coming out to do this, it would seem that a lower cost would be reasonable. I suggest that customers should be aware of costs before committing to purchase a system and what the continuing maintenance will cost.

The techs came out and checked the pressure tank (shook it and said it was bad), checked pressure switch, wiring at pressure switch & well head and then was told all components were bad and needed to be replaced at the tune of $5000. Not at anytime did anyone check the wiring to the pump and the pump itself to see if there was an issue there. Finally got a hold of the well company that installed the system and they came out and diagnosed the problem to a nicked wire going from the well head to the pump. They were able to fix the nick at the tune of $250. Beware of this company, as they may try and sell you a whole new system without diagnosing anything. Save your time and call a reputable company in your area.
