I downgraded my 5 review to 3 stars. Honestly, it should have dropped to 1 star--or even zero--but no one reads the rant of a one-star review. It only took three days from the quote to the installation. That's amazing, right? Well, hang on. There's more to the story. The installation itself went great. It was quick, looked original, and was everything you would expect from a well-known company... until I went into the crawl space to inspect the quality of the work. There was a leak at the main fitting that left a puddle on the ground. Also, the main bathroom had been left out of the filtration hookup. Here's where the great service ends. After three texts and one phone call to the salesperson, Brook, plus five texts and two phone calls to the service representative, Matthew, I still had no scheduled repair date. One call to the franchise customer service department finally got a repair date scheduled. Great--something was finally getting done. Or so I thought. As it turns out, they don't seem to care much about their customers once they've been paid. The scheduled repair date came and went without anyone showing up or even calling. As I write this, I'm on hold with customer service for the third time and have been waiting for over 35 minutes. UPDATE TO FOLLOW NEXT WEEK!! UPDATE: My wife and I were sitting on our deck enjoying a hot, humid 90+ degree day when the system started its purge cycle. It pumped water out at a significant flow rate for more than 20 minutes. While North Carolina has water restrictions that prohibit home car washing and limit irrigation, I sat there watching our grass turn brown while the system dumped what appeared to be 40-60 gallons of water into the rocks beside our house. I can't tell you whether that's normal because, after being on hold with customer service for more than 20 minutes, I gave up and hung up. UPDATE TO FOLLOW: 7-9-2026 Well, it looks like I've officially been added to the list of annoying customers. After several texts and calls to my new bestie at Leaf, Marcos, he's no longer returning my texts or calls either. I've learned an important lesson: don't leave a negative review after you've paid the bill but before the work has been completed. So, the waiting is over. If they don't want to finish the job, what can I do? Well, let's see... There are literally hundreds of places on the internet where I can leave a review. For the next few weeks--until I get over being shafted--I'm going to make my opinion known wherever people are willing to listen. Maybe I'll save someone else from this nightmare.  Can't wait for the next time I need service.  Bet it will be great.

Leaf Home Water Solutions is a predatory marketing focused company that is not concerned with what you actually need as a customer. After being lied to on every detail of sale. From free service, free water testing, what system we needed, free system move when you move, down to how much salt and electricity the system uses. So many claims and promises made. Took nearly a month to even get a call back. Now after 2 months of going back and forth, Regional Installation Manager agrees we were upsold and Regional Service Manager disagrees and is only offering a free reverse osmosis system that he has been made aware wont work with our home set up. Leaf came out at the end of Dec and conducted a second water test and that test proved we in fact did NOT need the extra filters we were sold... only a softener. The company has refused to remove the upsold filters and refund us. Regional Service Manager is only concerned with pushing yet another product for us to rely on THEM to service and purchase filters as they do not sell them individually without paying for a service tech to install. Regional Service Manager even lied in their email to me saying the test results show we need the filter... yet I have the results.. they also refused to send me an itemized receipt of all parts purchased.
