Absolute Relief are good people. The place is located on the second floor of an older building in downtown Manchester (you'll likely be parking on the street). The office is clean, warm, and relaxing with soft music and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. I tend to be introverted when dealing with strangers, or people I don't know that well, so trying to maintain a conversation during stuff like this is not very relaxing to me. Luckily, each of the therapists I have seen at Absolute Relief have been more than accommodating in allowing me to lie there and silently enjoy the massage. I deeply appreciate that. The owner, Michael, seems to have a real eye for employing talented therapists and their rates are very reasonable. I have coming monthly for a while now and I always feel amazing by the time I leave. A session with Absolute Relief is worth every penny. read more

I went there today (Manchester location) for a customizable full body massage, Jen is who I had. I paid a $100 for it was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. I chose this massage because I have multiple problem areas and lots of areas that cause me pain. My top concerns were knots in my shoulders and pain in my feet from a foot condition. At the very beginning of my appointment Jen asked me what I wanted worked on and I made my concerns perfectly clear and really expressed how much pain I was in, specifically in my right foot. She completely ignored me apparently because she didn't even lay a finger on my feet and didn't touch any of the knots in my shoulders. I basically paid for a really fancy back massage that hurt most of the time without relieving any pain, just adding pain. Now with a customized FULL BODY massage, both feet and shoulders should be included and if it wasn't, Jen should have told me at the beginning when I said I really needed my feet worked on. I would have GLADLY paid for the correct package, or pay even more if needed. instead I paid $100 for a massage that only wasted my time and did nothing for me. I hate to be a "Karen," I work in customer service and I always, ALWAYS tip everywhere but I was so upset I didn't even tip. I will never be going back here. read more

I've been going here for years. They are fabulous! Professional people who are happy to chat or not, depending on your preference. The atmosphere is super relaxing, and you really get the feeling that your comfort is the only thing that matters to them. All that aside, though, they are super talented! I always walk out of there feeling like a new woman. I sit at a desk all day, and tend to carry everything (purse, backpack, etc.) on my left shoulder, so my back is usually a knotted mess when I go in there. When I come out, it's exponentially better. I usually see Lisa, but everyone there is fantastic. Pure talent all over the place. I recommend them to everyone I know, and I recommend them to you, fine user of the Internet. I had an awesome massage with Julie yesterday. She has her own unique interpretation of Lomi Lomi. It's not exactly the same as what I've had elsewhere for Lomi Lomi, but what she does with that is fabulous. I like the studio as well - friendly enthusiastic people, and the tables and the air temperature are wonderfully warm. It's rare to find a business that packs so much talent under one roof. I have never been disappointed when coming here, as all three of the therapists (Mike also massages, but I have not had a session and can't review him) I have tried, though widely differing in their techniques, are among the best available in the area. Tabitha is one of the sweetest people you could meet and has a knack for making a client comfortable. She is responsive and fun and tailors her approach to your needs. I have found that she is excellent with both with pain issues and with techniques that require a combination of strength and smooth flow. Both relaxing and refreshing! Lisa brings solid reflexology methods to the table and is great at pinpointing trouble spots. I feel like I learn something new about my muscles and tissues when I book with her. She is easy to talk to and will adjust to your preferences as needed. Lisa was great when I had a major pull. Julie offers a very creative, holistic approach and gives a massage like nothing I'd ever felt. She has a range of techniques like Lomi Lomi, and works with long sweeping strokes using hands and whole limbs. The experience is uniquely relaxing and wonderful without sacrificing work on pain issues. And i have to admit, it is very addicting! Bottom line: you can't go wrong here.
