Experience during - the stylist kept pushing extra treatments, products, and at the end kept begging for good reviews. Yikes. But what really led me to a (generous) 3 star review - I absolutely hated my hair after I came here. I trusted the stylist to layer my hair appropriately and she did a terrible job. The salon and staff were very nice. Overall a great salon. I had a partial highlight with a single color and a toner. My hair looks very nice. I was given a pricing quote to review and sign before the service began. The total cost, with tip, was $260 just for the partial highlight and blow dry. The pricing seems above market. I called in with my concern and I was directed to Colleen, one of the major stylists. Being a first-time client, I was very pleased. The salon is very chic and clean! I was offered a drink while I waited for my appointment. I met with Colleen and we started right away with consultation. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she showed me how we could adjust the hairstyle to my face structure. The communication was extremely helpful and professional! I felt well taken care of throughout my appointment. Colleen gave me tips about my hair type and how to maintain my new hairstyle. She was very informative and professional. Disappointed with appointment. Scheduled my day around going in for this service only to be turned away day of when I came in. It stinks because I called ahead and scheduled a few weeks ago because this place specifically said they could do the service I wanted. I dunno, for a place that would charge me full price if I missed the appointment, I'm pretty disappointed that they just said they couldnt do anything for me after they originally said they would. Jen is my amazing colorist and stylist. My hair was just a mess when it grew back (after chemo) and she got the color and cut just right. Elavina is a great experience and every guest is treated like a VIP. You'll be offered hot and cold drinks, and sit in a massage chair for hair washing. If I could give 8 stars I would. I highly recommend this salon and can't hype up my beautician Sofiya enough! She's amazing. For about seven or eight years while living in another state before I moved to Manchester, I have had TWO other people that I let come near my neck with scissors. One ruined my hair, and the other one was my head's saving grace. When I moved to New Hampshire I was very nervous about making a drastic (but necessary for my hair's health) change that included chopping off multiple inches of my hair that was down to my butt, and re-toning my (much yellowed and neglected) blonde balayage. I WAS ALMOST EXPECTING TO GO HOME CRYING. However, Sofiya's final product totally surpassed what I thought was best-case scenario and I wouldn't dream of going to a different salon. She brought my hair back from the dead and its growing faster than ever. She gave me bangs that I seriously get compliments all the time on and I always tell them who does my hair and where they can find her! My color at the bottom blends so naturally in with my real color up top, it looks like the sun did the lightening instead of a (extremely skilled and top notch) beautician! Couldn't be more happy with the services provided by Sofiya, the ladies at the counter, and seeing how willing all the employees are to help each other out. 10/10! read more
