If you value your life, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE!!! Starting from the monstrous receptionist Andrea or whatever title she has of the week. She scolds and speaks to patients like they're peasants! If you're not reacting well to an antibiotic, she tells you to suck it up. She won't allow you to speak to the dentists, shes like a German Shepard dog. She growls. If you call with an issue after a procedure, she says the doctor isn't reachable and can't help. Aside from this, I was there for a root canal. I did NOT have pain in that tooth, but a RCT was needed. I was given more Novocain shots than needed. I knew something was off and I told Eric Friedman, DDS that my nerve is pulsating abnormally and it hurts. He poked the needle in the wrong spot. I was ignored & made out to be a fool and told this is normal. Once he partially completed the root canal, he stepped out. He was done. I didnt feel well. I warned the assistant. I passed out. She had to give me a Ammonia Inhalant to wake me back. The dentist did NOT come back to check on me. I did NOT get a call back that day or day after by him nor a staff member. An hour later i was hysterical in pain. The office scolded me and accused me of not taking my course of antibiotics which almost landed me in the ER and my family doctor told me to immediately stop. But again this office tells you to suck things up. My face blew up. I have photos of it all. It has now been a week. I am still completely numb on that side of my face and lip. I went to an oral surgeon today. He confirmed that this dentist hit wrong nerves. I may have permanent nerve damage. Will see in 2-3 months the status. Still no one from this office has asked how I am. Besides being unprofessional, they also butcher. I will have PTSD for life now. This office seems to also pride in all other extra procedures in desperation for extra income. I'm frightened by absolute smile. Its proposed treatment plan for my severe TMJ dysfunction was not only absurdly expensive, but also not warranted by any medical journal i researched about it. In fact, such monstrous treatment wasn't even described. I saw the "specialist" for 1 minute and he proclaimed he knew how severe my case was from that. I don't even think he took that long. He simply said i had a severe case and that I'd have to wait to talk to the office manager about a treatment plan. So i waited. She took forever, so i left, telling the front desk girl to have the manager call me. She did so about 30 min later, seemingly annoyed that i didn't wait. She began by saying i needed a complete analysis of my bite for $1200. I asked how much my insurance would cover and of course she said, "none." Then, she had the gall to tell me that, after that, I'd need to have a FULL SET OF CROWNS MADE. That's right -- all my teeth replaced. Hello. TMJ is a problem with the cartilage in the jaw, not the teeth. Yes, one's bite is affected, but one needn't have perfectly fine teeth crowned for whatever price (i hung up before i found out). Then i researched new modalities in TMJ treatment and, not to my surprise, discovered they center on relaxing the muscles and never on fixing or fucking with the teeth. You can get a bite guard if you grind your teeth, which i don't, but many modalities for treatment include physical therapy, massage, botox injections, etc. Not crowns. Why this place gets so many stars baffles me. I went before to have my teeth cleaned and they yelled at me because my jaw wouldn't open up widely enough to do x-rays. Friendly? Not. Absolutely DO NOT SMILE about this review. Take it and your dental health seriously. These people are out to charge you for insanely wrong practices that cost horrendous amounts of money. Smile happily and choose another dentist. UPDATE: a few days ago, the manager phoned to ask me to remove my review, claiming a misunderstanding must have occurred. She insisted the TMJ specialist was trained at a dental college in Florida and that he knew what he was talking about. We argued for about 10 minutes and i told her in no uncertain terms would i remove my remove my review and what i thought about her practice. What gall. Freedom of speech! Her actions only reinforced that absolute smile is unscrupulous. Please do not support this business if you value your dental health. I guarantee it will upsell you on services you don't need at absurd prices you can't afford. read more

I went to Absalute smile because it was on the way home from my job. I need a tooth pulled, bone graft and implants. Well Dr Eric did it and I was not happy at all. Had it done and a week later I knew something was wrong and he said it's fine. Went BACK to him 4 more times and the last time the metal was exposed and he told my .... don't work out it you can't see it. Never went back to him again. Very disappointed and unprofessional. Well went to another office to get it fixed. And double the money. read more

Had a bad experience there. Would never go again. Rude staff. I used to go every 6 months for check up and cleaning and every time they say I have 6-7 teeth to fix. Even though I always fix my teeth on time dont think have this many problems as they say. So I change my dentist and very happy with my decision read more

Dr. Friedman charged me a lot of money to save teeth that I told him I wanted replaced by implants. He reinforced the teeth with pins which were uncomfortable and left me paying for stopgap repairs for teeth he had agreed to implant. The work was such that, at a teaching hospital, a dental surgeon pointed at it and joked about it with another surgeon by giving him a knowing look and saying "old school." I had to pay him in advance for an implant that would not stay in. He wouldn't refund any of the money. After a cleaning and exam, he said with a straight face that I had no cavities and should just continue routine checkups, despite the fact that he had a long list of work that was needed. At that point, I stopped trusting him to be in my mouth and I cut my losses. read more

This place is horrible the dentist is rude and does not care about patients. I asked him about how to get a retainer and his response was "why are you asking me? I am not an orthodontist. Ask him" he has a rude attitude and does not have good professional people skills. The hygienist "cleaned" my teeth and whatever she used left a gritty nasty after taste and texture in my mouth I had to brush as soon as I got home. They were not friendly at all. I have been going to this office for several years and I am happy with the staff and Dr. Boris/Dr. Friedman. But just last week I went for a tooth infection and saw a Dr. ALex Sulpovar. He is the worst dentist I had ever encountered in my entire life!! He is very unprofessional, rude, and does not keep the patient informed on what he is going to do. Like I mentioned, I went for a specific problem, ( I poked my tooth). When I told him what I was there for he told me to let him do his work or if not to leave. Not long ago of the doctor burned my mother's cheek cells during the treatment and they did not even say "sorry". If you late couple minutes (12 min that we were once), they asking you $45 charge because your are late The secretary in there is acting more doctor than the doctors. Last time when we went there( even though i told them it is emergency my mother have pain they gave appointment week later ) they numb my mother's face and after that because insurance has a problem, doctor (BORIS) left the treatment undone. I went in to schedule an appointment because I broke a tooth. The front desk woman is ROUGH to say the least. I asked her questions and all she wanted to know was what my insurance was. After finding out they don't take my insurance (6 times) I asked what the address was because I had already checked with my insurance and was told they were on the provider list. You ever go to the dentist for a small thing and the dentist makes it a big painful problem, then runs you up thousands and still doesn't fix it, then sends you to an endodontist friend, who runs you up thousands and doesn't resolve it, only to make you pay more to just stop the pain? This is this dentist. Also, I called, and asked for some information on my procedures, and was rudely told to call back in 10 minutes. I have always felt treated poorly there, except when I am in office, they are sooo nice. The dentist I was told is an artist. Interesting, but I want a dentist, and not one whose own teeth are jacked up, I can smell your cigarette breath as you ask me if I smoke and tell me it is bad for teeth( I don't smoke). All while wearing your face mask below your chin and safety glasses over your balding head. Went to this location when I was told I could not get an appointment to fix a broken filling at their other location in Philadelphia. Same rude staff and same incompetent dentists that work here. Avoid these people if you want to keep your teeth!!! read more
