While I had no problem getting in for a 60 minute massage with short notice I don't know that attempting to drop in without an appointment would work. I had a full body massage with Linda and I can't say enough good things. She is a licensed masseuse as well as a nurse. She asked great questions and seemed to pay careful attention to my specific requests and issues. I only wished I lived closer so that I could feel that relaxed again next week.

She also diffuses essentials oils during the class, which is super refreshing and makes the whole studio smell great. Her prices are very reasonable -- try a drop in ($13) and if you like it, get a class pass (10 for $115). She has yoga mats, blankets, blocks, and straps. It's also cool to see they're hosting wellness based classes too like DIY chapstick and lotion making classes. I was asked why I was canceling, told them there really wasn't a specific reason, and was repeatedly pressed for one anyway. When I finally said "just put whatever you want," the employee claimed my account was closed -- but instead only sent me an email with instructions on how to cancel myself, including one option telling me to go back into the location to cancel in person. As I was leaving, he muttered "fat fuck" under his breath, and when I turned around and asked him to repeat it, he refused. Thankfully, I called corporate support in California and they were excellent. They immediately helped close both my account and my wife's account over the phone and documented the complaint about the employee. Also worth noting for anyone in New York: gyms are required to provide a way to cancel over the phone, so you do NOT have to go into the location to cancel your membership. Stay vigilant, my friends, and be warned about the experience at LA Fitness Perinton. Huge credit to the corporate phone support team for handling it professionally.
