They don't pick up the phone. The mailbox eventually says it hasn't been set up. ...I eventually had to send an email to corporate, look around in my spam folder for a response days later, and go through infuriating obstacles and hoops to talk to a person. For a second time, I am attempting to quit while two billing cycles have gone by. I must remind myself the employee at the end of management's stick are not the problem. Gimme luck. Since it is a small local place class sizes tend to be small and the gym has plenty of open spots to workout. All of the staff is amazing and every class I have been to is great. They have so many possible times to get to each day just incase you work its pretty easy to still get to classes. They offer tabata, spin classes, burn workouts, yoga and every few months they add in new classes they offer. The instructors are very professional and always know what they are doing and offer modifications for those who need it.

OTF Pittsford is pretty standard as far as the OTF brand goes -- clean facility, friendly staff,…read moreetc. My only gripe is that they have one trainer who teaches 80% of the classes, and if you're not crazy about him (imho he's fine as an instructor, but his 2010 alternative rock music choices don't get me motivated) there aren't many options for other classes/teachers. People with masks below their noses their entire workout. One girl even comes in without a mask but the most minimal of face shield. The kind dentists issue that only covers the lower mouth. Like, that's not how it works, lady. I've seen another guy who will wear a mask but doesn't tie back the bottom half. It's just loose fabric hanging over his mouth. Not a great look in a pandemic. People will also talk after their sets without a mask on. I am not the enforcement police, so I try and stay away from those people.

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Treatment from Instructors…read more I joined Club Pilates excited to continue my fitness journey with an additional workout option, but unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating and disheartening. Several instructors made rude, snide comments during classes, including things like "there's always one who can't catch on" or suggesting I should be in a lower-level class--before class even started. I'm still learning, but I expected to be supported, not shamed. I don't look like the stereotypical Pilates student, but I follow directions and show up ready to improve. I deserve respect--something I never had to question at places like Breathe Yoga or the YMCA. On top of that, my name has been consistently misspelled on my account despite repeated requests to fix it, which creates issues with my wellness reimbursements. I've tried to stick with it, even going out of my way to avoid certain instructors, but enough is enough. I've never felt so uncomfortable or disrespected at a fitness studio. I've asked to cancel my membership and request a refund for the last month. I'll be continuing my practice at places that value and uplift their members--not tear them down.

The StretchLab in Pittsford Plaza is easy to find and potentially a bit more convenient. If you've been to the Victor location, then you'll have an idea of what to expect. If not, it's still fairly simple: you'll check in for your appointment and switch to your grippy socks, and then discuss what you want to work on with your flexologist. Your first appointment is likely going to be a 25 minute stretch, where you focus on what you're in need of the most and then go from there. Like at Victor, the flexologists keep track of your progress and note any discomfort or other issues. Lately I've been taking advantage of various massage gun apparatus type things, which get at achy muscles like never before. I keep forgetting to take advantage of Normatec sessions, which aren't easy to book online or through the app. The staff is happy to help you get set up with your appointments in person and you can opt in for texts with vacancies that day. Finally, as you may recall, StretchLab takes FSA/HSA/HRA cards! It's never been easier to get the best use out of your dollars. Save your receipts if your plan doesn't have a debit card for reimbursement. I like both StretchLab locations, but I think I might just like Pittsford a bit better. You'll get a similar experience with qualified staff at both locations, but for me, Pittsford is just a bit easier to get to and that might be all you need to finally book that first stretch.

I am then stopped by a 125lb trainer, saying I cannot workout without one of the staff trainers, even advanced lifters cannot. He asked for me to stop warming up and wait 5 mins and he will "guide me through my workout" lol I was dumb founded...I have trained at numerous gyms all around the country and never ran into this before. I end up waiting close to 15 mins...I pack up and leave. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Now I respect how their business is run...but would have been nice to have known on the phone...or when I signed the waiver.... what is the point of the waiver now? If I get hurt under his supervision, I should be able to hold him accountable..... Many lifters do not need guidance through workouts...let alone being "trained" by someone who does not even look like they lift...I would not take advice from any of the trainers there....look the part at least. Need to get a workout in??? Go elsewhere sad thing is, this "gym" is very well equipped...all goes to waste

PowerTrain is like OrangeTheory Fitness but PowerTrain offers more! You arrive for a 1 hour workout…read morethat is designed by the trainers at PowerTrain. It is a different workout each time, making sure you don't plateau. It's what all the fitness articles tell you to do but sometimes you need the push from elsewhere to make it happen...and Jenna and the other trainers at PowerTrain do just that! The difference from OT is that PowerTrain has a weight room that you can go to at a convenient time for you and do your own thing..or sign up for personal training classes. This is a bit costly but if you're regularly attending, you're getting what you pay for. GIve it a try!! A heart rate monitor is given to you on arrival and you watch your HR throughout class...making sure to stay in the green, orange or red zones to maximize your workout. Go! Have a great time!! Embrace the soreness...it feels so good :)

I'm a new member to this gym. They recently just opened in the gorgeous building right across from…read morethe canal. The owners Jonathon and Den are extremely welcoming and accommodating. They have opened up such an extraordinary place that they are obviously very proud of. The equipment is new and up to date. Everything is really clean. The bathrooms are nice. They are open from 5am-midnight ( I believe but will start operating 24/7 very shortly ) New members get the change to be in a raffle every week for Bills tickets. Like come on, how awesome is that?! The classes are great, the atmosphere is fantastic. They offer a ton of classes that are perfect for all ages and genders. It really is a no-judgement zone kinda feel. I believe sometime in September, Ashker's is opening up a smoothie/juice/fresh food deal in the actual gym. I'm extremely excited about that! This place is nothing short but a motivational sanctuary. You will come in and leave feeling like a million bucks!
