Kathy did a great job with my dip manicure! Unlike some places they take their time and they make sure that the dip manicure is not puffy. They sand down the extra polish and shape the nail till it lays flat and looks natural. Just call ahead for an appointment and ask for Kathy or her brother. :) read more

From St. Louis. On vacation here In Michigan. I was in the area yesterday with my daughter, because she had to get a haircut at great clips (gotta have short hair for the beach!), when we walked by ABT nails. We decided not to go in at first, because I was looking for a place that did massages and at first it looked like this place didn't do that. But then Kathy came out and told us that they did! It was great. They painted both sets of my nails a Barbie sparkly pink, cleaned up the dead skin around my fingers, and they gave me a really great hot rock massage on my legs and feet! Super relaxing, very satisfying results. Kathy was super nice. She did a great job on my toes and Michael did wonders on my hand. I was able to get both of my toes and fingers done at the same time too. The massage chair was heavenly too and they even let my daughter use one of the chairs, even though she wasn't interested in getting a manicure or pedicure (not her thing). We both just had a great time and we would love to come back here if we were ever in the area again for another vacation. I wish my place back home did hot rock massages. I came up from Georgia to visit my grandparents, and my grandma wasn't sure where to take me cause she hasn't been to get her nails done since she moved back up here. Came inside the lady who helped us so super nice and sweet, knew exactly what we wanted, and took great care of us. There guy who did my nails MICHAEL did such an amazing job!!!! He took his time on the shaping and getting a solid foundation. He clean them up so nicely, didn't have to pick off anything! BUT MY GOODNESS he did such and amazing job on the detail for my nails. I've been coming here because it's the only salon that's open on Sundays and it's close to my house. I've been paying alot of money for the dip. It looks good when i leave the salon but the next day the top coat starts peeling off. I decided to try it again but it happened again. My daughter also had her nail painted with white shellac and they started turning brown. Never coming here again. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've had in a salon, and I've been getting my nails done for ever. I called ahead to ensure a timely experience, upon arrival was sat to soak off polish that wasn't there? After soaking bare nails for 55 minutes I stood to leave. The owner plead with me, sit sit, I will be with you in 2 minutes, I'll do a good job. Being there on my boyfriends dime, I obliged. I should have run. So far, so fast. The owner ground my nails down to nothing, burning them, tried to force me into getting tips. I declined and was made to feel like my nails were garbage and it was my fault, when she was the one that ground them to nothing. This isn't even the worst part. Two weeks later my nails began to hurt to the touch and were peeling off. My nails ripped off the nail bed, bleed and cracked. They were destroyed. Now 3 months later I am just getting back to a point of healthy nails. Never again will I visit this establishment or recommend it. Was an expensive painful waste of time. Zero stars. read more

What a sh$@ show. DO NOT GO HERE. Waited for 45 minutes although I was told it was only a ten minute wait. The woman left me soaking for another 45 min. When I asked her if they were sterilized tools she took scrubbing bubbles and sprayed all over the tools and into the water. She said "there!" I told her I wasn't going to soak my feet in the chemicals. Next she emptied the water and got sterilized tools. WHAT A TERRIble experience. They woman sitting next to me looked horrified. GO HERE IF YOU WANT AN INFECTION. It's worth an extra $5-$10 to go to a CLEAN salon. They should be closed down. read more

I came up to visit Holland with a friend for a short day trip, and we chose to come here to treat ourselves to mani-pedis. What a great decision! The nail techs did not skimp out on any part of the process, and spent ample time on our pedicures (complete with scrub and buffing ridges). Terrible experience, will not be returning. I had a 6pm appointment, and while I'm used to waiting a few additional minutes after my appointment time, I've never had to wait a half hour. They did not start my fill until 6:30. They turned away another girl who had an appointment, and had to go back and forth between doing my nails and another clients. They were poorly organized and unprofessional. The girl was trying to talk to me through her mask the whole time and I couldn't understand anything she said. In addition, she cut me three times while filing my nails and made me bleed. Then, was rushed through the process of polishing my nails. The almond shape was awful, and my nails were not completely dry when I left. Avoid this location! Waste of my time and money. read more

I often travel to Holland for business and on my last trip ran out of time at home for my standard mani-pedi. I found ABT Nails on Yelp and gave it a try. Kathy did such an excellent job that I will actually make it a point to come back when I am in town. Reasonable prices and she even stayed open late to take me!! She takes great pride in making your nails look perfect so you will spend a little more time usual but totally work it. If you suffer from deep cracks in your heels Kathy is your girl!! She uses a product called Nu Skin - she swears I will see a difference. I will check back and let you know! read more

Super crappy nail salon waited almost two hours for my nails to get done. Then showed the guy doing my nails how I wanted them and he still did them the opposite way then got mad at me. Left dust in my nails, he did one hand longer than the other and was getting frustrated at me for it. Worst nail salon I've ever been too! I arrived at 2:30 for my appointment and did not get seated until 3 for my pedicure. My pedicure water was cold and they did not start until 3:30pm. I did not leave the salon until 5:15pm. After my pedicure I was getting a fill and shellac polish. All my acrylic is lumpy and my nails are all uneven lengths, also my shellac polish is bubbling a day later and chipping off! Definitely do not recommend this place. Kathy also makes decisions for what you'll be spending in the salon until you basically have to yell at her. I watched her chase a lady out of the salon to come back in because how long they were taking! The lady never came back in. Horrible !! read more

Made an appointment for 10am, sat down at 1010, finally started my pedicure at 1030am. What's the point? Just walk in. Plenty of folks got in before me who did not have appointments. It's important to note that they do acrylics here. The smell is awful and I don't think their ventilation is working correctly. Made it difficult to relax. The woman trying to communicate with me kept talking from behind a mask which made it absolutely impossible to understand her. What I did get is that she was trying to upsell me to a 90 minute pedi after I'd already waited an extra 30 minutes. Nah. The service was good, though. The deluxe pedicure is very thorough. I like that they use the "cheese graters" for callous here. The hot stone massage was a very nice touch, too. However, their prices are astronomical. I can get a pedi in Chicago for $20 of the same quality - it's $35 here. I enjoyed it, but with the lack of ambiance and untimeliness it's just too much. read more

I have been coming here for years, never left a review but after having a pedi somewhere else and being charged the same amount I know why I go back to ABT nails. The green tea spa pedi is my favorite! The message goes on and on and on. Be prepared don't come in a rush. They always cut my ingrown nails perfect and they do a great job. I have seen people wait because it's busy and they say 5 min and it turns out to be longer but I always call ahead or stop in and if not many waiting I never wait. i was there for 5 hours just for a full set. the lady that did my nails was super aggressive. my cuticles and skin around my nails started bleeding after i got back home. she didn't listen to what colors i wanted and insisted on doing something else. i would never recommend this place to anyone. my friend that went with my had her hands soak in acetone for 45 minutes to remove the shellac but now all of the padding on her fingers is dry, crusty, and peeling. after she cut me and i started bleeding, she still used the same tools and drill bits that she had been using all night, dipped my bloody finger in to the powder, and used the same brush to get rid of the dust. would not be surprised if i get an infection. not sanitary. not safe. this place shouldn't even be open. read more

The people who work here are very nice people. when I come to a spa/nail place I come here for a break away from my kids and husband but when you go inside its like you have to entertain their children that are running around this place. I understand that it's a family business but I want to get away from my kids for a bit not have to deal with the owners 4 year old who wants to keep singing and trying to play while im in massive pain from being waxed. They also had children sleeping in some of the pedicure chairs while I was there. I have been here 3 times and every time is the same. Sorry but I won't be back. If I'm doing daycare i want paid.....at least offer to do a free vagina waxing next time I'm in! read more

Was in town for a wedding and went to the shop, made an appointment and came back at the appointment time. Waited another twenty five minutes to be taken back to get my manicure and then waited at the nail station another ten minutes, all while new customers walking in without appointments we being taken for pedicures. It took them two and a half hours to complete my manicure. I would have walked out but I needed them done and they were half done and sticky. They are grossly understaffed and my gel manicure only lasted for three days before it began peeling. They also do not soak off gel polish they grind it off my nails are now so thin they hurt when I press on them. read more

This was the worst pedicure experience I've ever had. I went with a couple friends hoping to relax but left with so much stress. The nail stylist was sneezing and coughing on me and at one point cut my toe and it was bleeding. She got up to get a tissue, blew her nose with that tissue and then used THAT SAME TISSUE to wipe my bloody toe with gross right? But wait, there's more: she then refused to use the color I picked out because it was too sheer and she didn't want to do extra coats of paint. They had horrible service and there prices are horrible I asked the lady over the phone how much a refill cost and she said $18 but then she wanted to charge me $33 for my refill for gel nail polish in Florida for gel and designs it cost the same $25 and they aren't even pretty at abt nails I was there for 4 hours I made appointment on Friday and everything I changed it one time cause I would not make it on time and the lady goes there is nobody here come in at anytime they were super rude I'm 14 and the lady yelled at me in English and then screamed at me in Chinese cause she was mad but she can't be mad cause they are not doing it for free I'm paying them out of my own money that I have and I could spend but no I payed them but it's a horrible place and I would not recommend it to anybody the service is horrible and some people are nice but they snap when they want so don't go there. read more

The work here is great but you'll be waiting 1 hour and 30 minuets to even sit down in a chair, regardless if you have an appointment or not. The last, and VERY last time I went there. My appointment was at 10:30am. I walked in sat down, had to wait 30 minuets before someone even said something to me. Kathy came over to me, and offered me a $5 pedi because she felt bad about me waiting so long. ( I was a pretty well known regular there.)Just a little foot rub is all it was. Nothing big. I declined the offer three times but she wouldn't let it go so I said sure. I SAT IN THAT CHAIR FOR 45 minuets with nothing done to me. She finally called me over for my fill, which is $15-$25 and I never get shellac to keep the price down. I give Kathy my color, ( not shellac) AND SHE GETS UP, GRABS THE SAME COLOR IN SHELLAC AND THINKS SHES GOING TO START PAINTING MY NAILS!!! I told her no, no, no, NO! I finally got her to paint them with normal nail polish after she was going on and on about how it's so good for your nails and it looks much prettier. Now, I get the same thing done there every time every two weeks for my fills. $15-$25 right ? Very wrong. Kathy lied about the pedi being only $5, she charged me $30 for the pedi and $45 for my fricken fill!!!!?? Mind you I was 8 months pregnant and getting my nails done is my treat every two week because I wasn't working. And that $75 was the last to my name until I had my baby. I confronted her about it and she said the color I picked was shellac and she tried telling me she never offered me any pedi! A lady stuck up for me and told Kathy to give me a refund but Kathy just plain walked away. I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT RUDE, and unhygienic place ever again! ABT is a little gem located by Walgreens on Butternut. I found it to be one of the friendlinest and best nail salons in Holland. I walked out with a beautiful set of pearl tips which were done to perfection... and I admit I am a little detail minded. Thanks, Kathy! I was even offered a bottle of cold water by a nice gentleman. One delighted client showed me her artfully designed toe nails. I also was impressed with ABT's cleanliness and the fact that they are open on SUNDAY!!! read more

I added this places since it wasn't in here yet and I wanted to make sure people could find it! I found reviews on Google that were good and went to eggy a bad job of gel nails taken off (from another nail salon). Kathy greeted me and seemed concerned of the lifting at the cuticle too. Because I was a walk in I expected it to take more time. They were busy and it was Sunday night. I'm a SO HAPPY with the service I received and heard good things while I was there too. Kathy cares very much about her and her girls' work. She and one if her other girls took turns (specializing I assume) in the removal. Then I got a gel polish, which I've never had. But so far I love it and they did a great job! They took their time (but not too much) and were not sloppy. I will be going back and have already told a friend to go there! read more

Not happy at all with service.Bought two Pedis and Manis for self and visiting friend from another country whom never had one. I wanted it it to be a great experience for her. Not one one person smiled nor barely spoke to us. As a licensed designer a key besides doing a great job is making a person enjoy their experience by at least smiling and making someone feel welcome.
