Bought a new dishwasher. They came out to measure to make sure everything would fit. Service and installation was great.

TL;DR - Don't trust the sales person on delivery dates. Ensure that you thoroughly check your…read moreappliances before you accept them. Know your right to to refuse appliances that do NOT work (do not let them install it, you accept a broken/non-working product and then send a tech to fix it). And, prepare to spend a LOT of time dealing with them if there are any hassles. My washer went out, and I needed a replacement urgently. I came into their showroom and spoke with one of their sales team. He strongly pushed me toward two options, an Electrolux 517 or an Electrolux 617 both for the same price. I, of course, chose the 617 (the Electrolux 617 online gets great reviews, the 517 not quite as much). I was told by the sales guy that they'd be delivered on the following Tuesday, early Wednesday at the absolute latest. I paid for it, and waited to hear from the delivery people. The next day, I was told that the delivery would be on Friday, not Tuesday (3 days later). Ugh. The clothes are piling up. So, the delivery day rolls around, and they show up to deliver the unit. When it's installed, it 100% does not work. It lights up, but doesn't take water, and the door locks and won't open. They tell me to hang out and wait for the service team to come and look at the unit. I say that's not acceptable. I call the sales person, and while I'm talking with them, the service people leave, leaving the unit behind. So, in talking with folks (sales and service are "different divisions" and seem to use that as an excuse for why things can't get done), I finally get them to understand that I'm not going to wait several days for a service tech to come out and repair a BRAND NEW unit. They agree to pick it up and work on some options for me. After several hours, I reach back out to them to see what they plan to do. Note that they told me if we get a solution today, it could be delivered tomorrow. IF not, then it will be 5 days before they can deliver it. So, obviously, it's URGENT that I get something selected. They close at 6pm. At 5pm I call, and they offer me the "lower version" of the same product ("517") for the same price as I paid for the 617. Or, they said I could get the 627 (the newer unit) for $100 more, as they didn't have any more of the 617. After a LOT of hassle, they said they could do the 627 for the same price as the 617 they sold me. BUT, they have to verify the warranty (which makes no sense to me. If it's a new unit, why do they need to verify the warranty?). The next day, they finally delivered a working dishwasher. But, there was tooo much hassle and headache. Appliances a better way? Hrm... As a last note, my next door neighbor's washer went out about 2 weeks ago as well. They purchased from this same place. Their first unit was DOA as well. So, be SUPER careful. Make sure you get a solid test wash, and that things are working.

Even better, you can sign up for the once a month cooking demonstrations (or new owner use and care classes). Find what you like - and Fretz will also point you to regional retailers that carry the products.

Anthony Sylvan Pools - Poor Project Management and No Accountability…read more We are deep into our pool/spa build and the experience has been a consistent pattern of disorganization, poor communication, and zero accountability. Permitting and drawings: The spa was relocated during planning, but Anthony Sylvan never updated the drawings. Montgomery County failed our inspection as a result. We lost two weeks. When the inspector finally returned, Anthony Sylvan submitted drawings without the required county stamp - then tried to blame the inspector. That's on them. Subcontractor coordination: The electrician came out and left dirt and drywall dust all over our new floors. Worse, no one informed the gas company that electrical was complete. The gas company found out on their own and told us they couldn't come for three weeks. We now have open drywall in our basement - while hosting guests - because no one coordinated a basic handoff between trades. Scheduling and follow-up: After paying our deposit, we were told upfront there is no schedule. They pull resources as they go. We have never received one. Since breaking ground in mid-March, we have had 9 total construction days through the end of May. The job site sits empty most days with no project manager present. Customer service: When we called about the gas situation, the scheduler told us it wasn't her schedule and refused to walk over to speak with the person who owns it - because she was on a headset. The pattern is clear: once they collect the deposit, follow-up stops. They expect you to just deal with it.
