The warranty company associated with the company for extended warranty is trash!!!!!! My mom purchased a dryer, stove, and refrigerator at the same time. Not only did we have the manufacturer warranty we had 2 extended warranties the last of which expires September 2026. I filed a claim for all three appliances in June of 2025. NOTHING HAS BEEN FIXED! The refrigerator still needs a new gasket, the stove has one working burner, and the dryer is in pieces in anticipation of the parts coming in. EPIC WARRANTY denied the claim and left specifically my dryer in pieces. I have been fighting with the company for months. According to EPIC the claim was denied due to lack of maintenance...... no one can tell me what maintenance is supposed to happen with a dryer beyond cleaning the lent vent after use...... I WILL NEVER USE BRAY AND SCARF OR EPIC WARRANTY AGAIN!!!!!! read more

Wow!! Installation for my appliances by Joseph Brown and his team was simply amazing! Their professionalism, knowledge and team work was nothing but exceptional. I was so impressed with his knack and comfortable nature with not letting our very complex kitchen install be a problem or barrier. Joseph took on the assignment with grace and reassured me that he would be able to resolve the problems that I was told by others would "not" be accomplished with ease. Along the journey of the install, Joseph continued checking with me to ensure I was fully engaged and once completed, walked me thru the functionality of each appliance. I would like to also mention the way the team all worked together was seamless. I would highly recommend this group to do all installs for B&S, but if not, that Joseph and his team train the other techs so they can have the same level of technical experience and customer support/ service. I plan on also calling B&S senior management team because I'm definitely a happy customer. I purchased Bosch appliances - refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and gas range from the Bowie store on Dec. 2. The refrigerator and dishwasher were delivered on the first of three delivery date options they were given, Dec. 11. When I inquired about the microwave and range, I was told "I hope they will be in next week." I let my salesperson know that my contractor was scheduled to conclude my kitchen renovation that week (Dec. 19) and that I needed the appliances before he left. Even with this knowledge, the salesperson never led me to believe that I wouldn't have the appliances or that they may not be delivered to them until January. It wasn't until I called him to get an exact date that I was told that the range wasn't in and may not be in until January. He never said that the microwave wouldn't be in either. Miraculously, he "found" the range which still couldn't be delivered until the 23rd and was working to see if he could arrange for me to pickup the microwave instead of having it delivered. After calling and speaking with the manager, who was no help at all and even told me that I wasn't on the delivery schedule for the 23rd, I called the salesperson. He then repeatedly insisted that he had always told me from the point of sale that there was no guarantee on when the products would be in. HE DID NOT. I am extremely disappointed that the Bray & Scarff team (manager and salesperson) did reach out to keep me informed, try harder to find a solution or offer me other options. read more

Zero stars too many. 5 year old built in microwave/oven combo stopped working. "Master Technician" visited but did no physical inspection but wrote order for new control panel and various sensors at cost of $1,213.61 plus ~$120 for visit. Nice lady basically said " your tuff luck" if fix doesn't work. (This is almost 1/3 of new unit cost with shaky recommendation.) Real problem was undersized circuit breaker with cost of $60. This happened after new refrigerator was installed with obvious dents in door (door was replaced). Bray & Scarff should rebrand as just "BS, Inc." read more

I'm writing a review for the customer service and extended warranty process with Bray & Scarff. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We purchased an expensive Bosch dishwasher and added a 5 year extended warranty. In June, the dishwasher started blinking several different codes. I contacted B&S and they scheduled a tech for inspection. He showed up, no parts on truck, admitted limited experience with Bosch and proceeded to note the code and "ordered a part". It took over a week to receive the part. I had to contact B&S repair to set a new appt to have service. They showed up, installed part and machine still didn't work. Tech had no idea why. B&S said to order the same part again. Same process, at this point it's mid July. Replaced the part, machine throwing new codes. Tech has no idea why. All along, multiple calls to service department and unfortunate conversations with rep named Crystal. Asked to have case escalated to Candace. It's now August, same process. Numerous tech visits (7 different appt) to diagnose and replace new parts, machine still doesn't work. No communication from service management. It's now September and the machine is still not working, in my home with standing water which the last tech left there. The smell is awful. We have left 6 messages for Candace to return our call, NEVER heard from her. My honest belief is that B&S is trying to prolong this process so they do not have to replace the unit. Both techs confirmed this, they claim that B&S will continue to require us to proceed with service indefinitely. The lack of communication, ethical business practices and horrendous customer service has pushed me to alert anyone and everyone to not walk BUT RUN from Bray & Scarff. Their corporate office is no help. This process has been the singular most frustrating, stressful and WORST CUSTOMER experience of our lives. All because we trusted in an extended warranty that was offered and a company that refuses to honor that warranty. OVER 3 MONTHS of this.....buyer beware. read more

Don, my tech, researched my refrigerator issue before he brought out the screwdriver. As a result he educated me on how to fix the problem in 4 seconds. This is particularly important because the last time I had the same issue the OEM service person took two service calls to change out a control board. I was on my third Whirlpool microwave, purchased two at Lowe's, brand new, original packaging. Both were crushed on the corner once the packaging was removed. Went to Bray & Scarff outlet in Laurel they found a new Whirlpool model ordered it for me, arrived at their location in a few days as promised. Had them unpack it for me while I was at their warehouse (since the previous two purchased from Lowes were damaged). It was in perfect condition and lighter than the previous model I had purchased and $30 less! I do a lot of home remodeling and I am returning today to purchase a washer and dryer. If I could give bray and scarff service zero stars, that would be too many. Our refrigerator has been broken for 3 months. I've had 6 service calls (each time it breaks the same guy has to come look at it and then it takes a couple of weeks to order parts and then he comes back to fix it). I have young kids and asked that someone come anytime other than 5-7 pm when I'm getting them to bed and every single time the service guy has shown up between 6 and 7 - incidentally outside the promised service window. After the last time, I got a call from a service manager named Hollie, who offered to make sure I could get a morning window of we needed additional repairs. Well, this week my fridge is still broken and once again I got a call that the tech would be there at 6. I've tried reaching Hollie and, surprise, she hasn't called me back. This is somewhere between atrocious service and a scam. Whatever you do, avoid bray and scarff and go anywhere else. read more

Man, I love this place, Located somewhat on the corner of Rte. 1 and Cherry Ln. in a small warehouse type of location. There is a small sign upon entry into the shopping area, and an even smaller sign to enter into the warehouse. So if you don't know, Bray & Scarff is a place where you can buy various appliances for your home. This location in particular is like the outlet, the scratch and dent of sorts. I had the greatest luck here when I was renovating my kitchen, I got FABULOUS appliances at great prices. Yes, they had dents, but would you know? Hell nah. Plus the delivery is next to nothing, they take away old appliances for a nominal, fee and you still get the warranty with any new item. What's not to love? I have never had one problem with any of the appliances that I purchased from the store, they all work beautifully. The service has always been helpful, and the sales folk there are always willing to make a great deal. I'm not sure if I was just slow back then, or if things have changed, but on a recent trip, I noticed that the items, weren't as greatly priced as they once were. Unfortunately, in searching for a new range I noticed that a newer item without the scratch and or dents were less at competitor. Hopefully this is a one time thing. I know I'll check on back to hopefully get some great deals. read more

I received my rebate in the mail and had phone assistance when I had problems completing the rebate online. I would definitely check them out first before my next purchase! worst experience purchasing new washer dryer. paid a whole lot of money. time of delivery the dryer door was broken. they reinstalled by old dryer and installed the?new washer and left. the washer began to shake and make noise like my old one. I am disappointed and feeling abused. Surely there's an oversight. I am hoping there is no bias or prejudice in how I have been handled.This can not be how Bray & Scarf customers are routinely or typically treated. Here's my current situation with the washer/dryer I have paid for (twice)and not received: On Dec 16th, I purchased a GE Spacemaker 24" Unitized Electric Stack Pair White Washer Dryer (Invoice HC5149) at the Outlet store with Cliff Walterhoefer, an Appliance Specialist. In addition paying for the washer and dryer, I paid a drop off/delivery fee, recycle/removal fee, installation fee, warranties and a change door fee. The door on the one I purchased opened the wrong way (it wouldn't fit in my space as is) and Cliff said it could be switched to the other side. Thirty min later, after I left the store and on my way home, Cliff called to inform me that the door can't be changed. After some discussion, Cliff said that the washer and dryer could be delivered to my home and if it worked then he would refund my $9.95. If after delivery, it didn't work, then the delivery personnel would take the washer and dryer back and I would be refunded all of my money; there would be no restocking fee. I was satisfied with that arrangement. On Dec 20th, II received the robe call re: delivery time on the 21st. Just to be sure of the arrangement, I called the delivery department (301-470-3555 ext 4)on the morning of Dec 21st to confirm the arrangement that Cliff made with me. The woman I spoke to was hesitant to say ok but I told her that this is what Cliff had arranged so she said "ok". When the delivery people called to let me know they were on their way, I again shared what Cliff had worked out with me and they said they would not be able to deliver it and take it back without a restocking fee. I was not happy. I called the outlet to speak to Cliff and spoke to a manager in the outlet store who said Cliff wasn't in and there wasn't anything he could do until Cliff returned the next day. I called the delivery department again and said I wouldn't be taking the delivery because it may not fit and the arrangement with Cliff would not be honored; I didn't want to pay a restocking fee because this wasn't my error. Because it seemed odd that I couldn't resolve this because " Cliff wasn't in", finally after an hour of calls and research, I found and spoke to Ryan Turner, Merchandising Manager, who found another more expensive washer and dryer that had the door on the correct side. In fact, he put me on hold and went to look at the unit to be sure it open on the correct side (therefore no need for changing the door). Once all was confirmed, Ryan told me to pay ANOTHER visit to the outlet store to pay the additional amount to Cliff. On Dec 22nd , I visited the Outlet location for a second time to pay the additional amount of $235.98 for a Whirlpool 24" Thin Twin Electric Laundry Pair Washer and Dryer (Invoice HC5203) to Cliff Walterhoefer again. The new washer and dryer was to be delivered on Dec 30. On Dec 28th, I called to see if I could get a delivery time for Dec 30. I was told no and to call back on Dec 29th. I called back on Dec 29th and was told they weren't sure but thought it would be delivered late morning to early afternoon on Dec 30th. An hour later, I get a call from Cliff Walterhoefer who told me that the item wasn't in stock and I wouldn't have it until " February sometime"..."what did I want to do".... Since I had spoken to Ryan to search for the new Whirlpool washer and dryer in Cliff's absence, I asked Cliff to ask Ryan to call me back. I also left a message for Ryan the same day. Since I received no return call from Ryan as of today, I called Cliff and asked if he had spoken to Ryan, he said no but he would be sending him an email later today after he finished helping customers. WHAT?!?!?!!? HUH?!?!?!?!? This makes NO SENSE, It was yesterday I had the conversation with Cliff !! I have no washer and dryer and no resolve. It is unconscionable that there is no-one I can talk to about this matter. Who , at Bray and Scarff, is qualified to confirm product details, product availability and confirm delivery of product that I HAVE PAID FOR TWICE ?!?!?!?!? Is there any responsible person at Bray and Scarff who can help me?..WIth all that has occurred, I am still willing to resolve this situation appropriately and look for other options at Bray and Scarff before requiring A FULL REFUND .........It doesn't make sense that I have to spend time trying to get the help that your salesforce and managers should be providing. If I could give this zero stars or a negative 100 stars I would.. Never again will I purchase anything from Bray and scraff!! Their policies, and customer service suck too! Purchased a washer and dryer and had an install company listed as picking it up from the warehouse in Laurel. Well my install company goes to pick it up, now mind you the Bray Scraff invoice has my install company listed as picking it up at the warehouse printed right in big black print, but they inform the driver he couldn't pick my order up because... get this... HE DOES NOT HAVE THE PHYSICAL CREDIT CARD AND ID THAT WAS USED TO MAKE THE PURCHASE WITH HIM!! So I call and ask to speak to a manager. I am told that Ryan (the manager) SAID I would have to leave a message and that he would call me later. WTF... I said no the driver listed for the pick up is at your warehouse now to pick up the delivery as indicated on my invoice and I need to speak to a manager. So here's where the fun begins not.... so the woman answering the phone transfers me to the accounting office manager what??? Why???? Accounting and warehouse 2 different ends... anyway the piece of work I speak with then tells me Ryan didnt have time to speak with me that she is a manager and that is their policy that I MUST PROVIDE TO WHOEVER IS PICKING UP MY MERCHANDISE WITH MY THE PHYSICAL CREDIT CARD USED AND MY PHYSICAL PHOTO ID. IT IS COMPANY POLICY AND IT WAS FOR MY PROTECTION!! WHAT??? No for my protection??? A 3rd party who I arranged to pick up and install the merchandise is to have my physical Credit Card and my physical License in order to pick my order up and that is for my protection? Yeah HELL TO THE NO! Her and I go back and forth about this and I told her that this is bs that it clearly is stated on the invoice what company is be to picking up MY merchandise and that had I had the means to do it myself I would have but I hired and outside company to pick up and install. She then got smart with me and stated I should have followed their policy then. Well wrong thing to do since it wasn't a good day... I told her I wanted their address and that if I had to leave my job to handle this because it couldn't be done over the phone hell was going to happen. Well guess who had to leave work? Now mind you the 3rd party driver had already been there an hour trying to get it released. Now I show up at Bray and scraff warehouse go to the office and hell is happening for Ryan and everyone else I had been dealing with. After being hung up on 3 times and then transferred to a voicemail that was full and disconnected. I was and am still pissed off at the fact these idiots thought I was going to come in smiling and just be a peach after all the bs. Nope instead I will be filing a complaint with corporate and am warning everyone not to deal with Bray and Scraff. I can tell you the driver was able to pick up my appliances and the 3rd party called me back and informed me they were off the dock within 5 minutes of me showing up and dealing with them and that Ryan was almost in tears when I left. Ryan also asked the driver if he knew me personally and he said nope I am just the driver and she is the customer. I am only giving one star because there is no option for none. The service department is absolutely abysmal! I have bought all my appliances from Bray and Scarff (double oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher) but "look out" if you need service. My refrigerator needed a new display board. It took three visits, 2 from the first tech and one from the last who had to come back due to an issue caused by the first tech, but scratched the appliance in the process. I am not going to spend further effort on a long winded recap of all the details, but in short, their service manager's have no clue. Throughout this ridiculous process I reached out to Hollie Sweeney and Deborah Ingram, both of which could have cared less. I really don't have the words to describe how awful and disappointing my experience was. I will not be soliciting service from Bray & Scarff in the future, nor will I be buying any future appliances from them either. The bright light was Lynn whom I spoke to several times. She couldn't have been more helpful in at least getting someone out to my home to begin with. I would advocate for a raise if I were her. She was the only good thing about the experience. This was truly the most amazing delivery. It was difficult bc of the monsoon this afternoon. They called me 45 minutes b4 they arrived and called me when they arrived. they had to wait in the truck until the weather allowed them to actually do the delivery. They were so respectful of my property...the hardwood floors...they had to work overtime to take apart the refrigerator they had to haul away by taking off the doors and other parts to make it work...I would highly recommend doing business with Bray and Scarff as I have done for over 20 years. Do not buy the service plan. I was a long-time lcustomer of Bray & Scarff. I have bought washer-dryers, refrigerators, microwaves and an oven from them over the years. I just bought two new appliances in the past two months, and then my dishwasher started making grinding noises. The "repairman" never examined the machine inside and told me to use Lemishine. It didn't work. When I called service back, the person on the phone couldn't find my service contract and told me to call Whirlpool (the dishwasher is a GE). Another call and I am supposed to hear from someone in 24-48 hours. Next stop- small claims court. It's a shame because the sales staff (especially John and Sean) are knowledgeable and helpful, and the delivery has always been fast, professional and polite. ADDITION 7/9 A member of the service department just told me I was overreacting. No apologies, just combative and dismissive. 4/20 As others have also noted, no one responds to the email in the company's answer. It is a gimmick to appear responsive. read more

After our 20 year old washer bit the dust, I was looking for a company that sells and installs the Speed Queen washer brand (this brand was recommended to us by our appliance repairman). After searching the internet and checking reviews, we purchased a Speed Queen washer online from Bray & Scarff. Their website made it so easy! The same day, we received a call from Ali who scheduled the delivery date. The day before the delivery was scheduled, we received a text, phone call and email with a delivery window and confirmation. The next day, Danillo called to let us know he was 20 minutes away (the very beginning of the delivery window!). Danillo and his assistant showed up promptly, didn't waste any time, had the old washer out and the new one hooked up in no time! They did an awesome job and we couldn't be happier! Still love Bray & Scarff. It is the day before Thanksgiving and I just had them here for a minor repair (sink drain seal deteriorated) to my sink that was installed 4 years ago. I called Monday after discovering the leak Sunday and the service couldn't have been better. They asked if I would like to have someone out early Wednesday and I said yes. When they said by 6:30 to 7 AM I was really excited but after experiences with other home organizations (i.e., Home Depot and Sears) I really didn't expect it to happen. It did!! He was here on time, the repair is done, and he is out of here. Thanksgiving is back on schedule!! The repairman was clean, respectful, and knowledgeable, traits not always found altogether in service people. I'm sorry for the other reviewer here. It sounds like she and the repairman had a pretty bad time. I can only say that from 2007 when we planned our kitchen renovation to now, Bray and Scarff has stepped up if there has been a problem. it is so refreshing to talk to a person who seems to care and understand your concerns and has ability to work with you and correct any problems. Try to get service from Sears or Home Depot near a holiday for major problems like a refrigerator that heats up or a water heater that leaks when guest are present or expected. It's not going to happen. Try and talk to someone other than "Valerie" in a far away call center, who is mad when you aren't happy to end your discussion after an offer of a $25 gift card, as your $2000 refrigerator and your Thanksgiving leftovers simmer overnight in your kitchen. It isn't going to be easy, and when it happens it will be days and weeks and many missteps and threats away. read more

Our dishwasher catastrophically failed so we were on the market. We did some research beforehand so we had basically decided on a Bosch and saw that they usually have some in stock at the warehouse. We went and were able to view all the available dishwashers. The shopping experience here is more DIY. There's a bunch of appliances in a warehouse and you can open the door to see why it was returned eg dent, didn't fit, didn't work. The reason for return affects the discount. We were able to purchase a very high end dishwasher for only a little more than the lower end model because it had been repaired by B&S. Shortly after we entered, David approached us and offered help and showed us how to see what was "wrong" with each unit. He is experienced and competent. We left to talk things over and do additional googling. There was no hard sell here. After getting lunch and deciding we did want a repaired unit, we returned to the warehouse and found David at the front. With a phone photo of the dishwasher sticker, he was able to sell it to us in under 15 minutes (we were late for a baby shower, so rushing was our choice). Great experience. 4 days later we were scheduled for free delivery and install. Richard was well within the install window and called about 20 minutes out and politely requested I make some room under the sink for the install. He was courteous and competent and made me feel at ease. He did a great job on a difficult install (we bought a renovated house and the cabinet area for the dishwasher is very tight!), and was professional throughout. I've had appliance installs from places like home depot and they subcontract with people who get trained (minimally) on the job and are set loose. Richard arrived in a bray and scarff van, had all appropriate tools, and knew his appliances. We couldn't have had a better experience, and I'm so grateful we went through B&S. You need to have the right expectations. If you want a fancy showroom and salespeople, go to a retail location. This is the scratch and dent store with discounts and free install ($180 value). They currently have a rebate on delivery but I don't know if that's permanent. So we had free delivery and install (had to pay delivery then apply for rebate though). read more

Appliances were delivered in May 2018 by Bray & Scarf but installed by my contractor this week (July 2nd). Found out that the 18 inch dishwasher that I ordered, the handle impeded the opening of a kitchen drawer. Wanted to switch out for a dishwasher without a handle. Was told by Bray & Scarf corporate that because I had the appliances for 7 weeks that they could not take back the dishwasher. Mind you, the dishwasher is in original packaging. They offered to sale me another dishwasher for $50.00 less and deliver it for for free, but won't take back the other dishwasher that I paid $854.00 for. What in the heldo I need with 2 dishwashers They WILL NOT be getting my business again, and I will inform my FB friends, family and colleagues to shop elsewhere. Customer Service? I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't be fooled. B&S make contact on Yelp to act like they care after a bad review. I didn't think this place was a bargain. We came here saw some options and ended up purchasing our washer & dryer from Lowes. Ultimately, we decide not to take the risk on possibly faulty appliances and risk being out nearly 1k. Besides the savings were just not the great. Compare prices and brands with Lowes and Home Depot, you may end up with a better deal from those bigger stores. Now if you were in the market for a Viking range or some other specialty appliance, you may be able to score a great deal. Just remember, it's pretty risky - most of these items were returned by other customers for one reason or another. It's not a big deal if it's a scratch or something, but most of the items we saw were returned due to mechanical issues. Service was fair. After months of waiting, all appliances were delivered and installed properly. I did have to accept a floor model cooktop but that's because Bosch was backordered by more than a month and I couldn't wait any longer. This is my second purchase through Bray and Scarff. We did not have a great experience with getting the item the first time around through the regular store, but I decided to give them a second chance and purchased a dishwasher through the outlet. The front panel had been replaced and I was assured it was in perfect condition and they stood behind it. It started leaking immediately after install, but because I could not reach anyone during the closures from the shut down it was beyond the thirty days that the will guarantee it. It needs major repairs and they are not standing behind their sale and exchanging it for a working unit. Everyone I speak with there tells me something different and there is no consideration being given to the fact that they were impossible to reach. Do NOT buy from them and be aware that you are agree to policies posted on the internet that they won't tell you about at the time of the sale (we weren't even offered the option of an extended warranty and they are saying we declined it)They are deceptive and customer service is nonexistent. We purchased a home and the built-in oven/microwave combo stopped working after a year in the expensive home. It was the top of the line Jenn-Air We went to several stores to buy the same brand but they didn't have it in stock. Someone told us about Bray & Scarff, a company we had not heard of, so I checked their reviews & customer complaints. Many customers complained the rebates being issued to them when they purchased an appliance was not eligible by nationwiderebatecenter.com. They felt they had been lied. I was skeptical about purchasing from them, but they had the brand name and size of built-in oven-microwave combo we needed in stock. We were given a rebate to receive $409 for purchasing the appliances for $3996 and rebate to receive $49.95 toward delivery/instillation chg of $209.95. I mailed both rebates to natiionwiderebatecenter.com, I called them and spoke with Nicole, also applied online. I was told the same information, that the appliances I purchased is not eligible for rebates. I called Bray & Scarff, spoke w/salesperson David who was of no help, acted as though he didn't know what I was talking about. Please don't buy appliances, expecting a rebate. I called Bray & Scarff to have a repair technician come out and diagnose issues I was having with both my washer & dryer, both purchased from Bray & Scarff, a $250 service call resulted in two separate quotes for necessary repairs, the washer, $576.02, and dryer, $887.78, that were significantly more than just replacing both pieces. It turned out the problem for both appliances were due to faulty electrical outlets!!! I have since replaced both outlets, myself, for less than $15.00 plus 20 minutes of my time and both appliances are working without issue for several months. Worst customer service EVRR? Stay away from these two employees by all means, Dutch,(salesman) and the racist Senior Manager named Ryan. I tried everything in my power to see their unprofessionalism as an act of error, but after countless terrible encounters, the one star is deemed appropriate. A zero grade might have been more suitable but, it's not an option. These two guys clearly don't know how to make customers happy, and does the entire corporation a disservice. In a nut shell, the issues I had were with overpricing, delivery, product, and accounting. These people are a bunch of rip-off artist's . My parents purchased the GE front loader model number GFW450SSK0WW, two weeks ago and have had nothing but headaches from Bray and Scarff and GE. They were misled by the sales rep from Bray and Scarff that the pedestal that they had for the previous washer would be able to fit the new GE washer. When they delivered it the tech told them that the pedestal would not fit and the salesman knew that. They wanted to charge them for another delivery fee. My mom had to fight tooth and nail for that fee to be waived. Then they were told that it was an energy star washer and would be able to get the rebate from BGE. Well, the model is not listed on the website. As far as the washer it makes EXTREMELY LOUD noises when the washer is on the spin cycle. If my mother is in the other room on the phone with me, I can hear it in the background. They had a tech from Bray and Scarff and a tech from GE out to look at the washer and they were told that it was normal to be that loud. One tech told them that the washer was not on the second floor of the house because it sounds even worst. WHAT?! It sounds like a jet engine. The customer service from both companies has been horrible and unacceptable. read more

We've purchased two appliances here and had great luck. The prices are unbeatable. We bought a dishwasher and a convection microwave. Each had very minor issues and were repaired to like-new condition. With the dishwasher we also got free delivery and installation. They guys that work there are also a hoot! We spent time chatting with them about life, politics, and their retirement plans. Great people. The guys that installed the dishwasher did a great job as well. They left everything clean orderly- even swept behind the machine before installing. Overall, we've been super happy with this company and intend to return and recommend it to friends. read more

Agree with everyone who wrote negative reviews. I had a broken oven. Called for appointment took then 2 weeks to fit us in, stayed home, never showed, gave an excuse they needed model # of broken oven. Reschedule for yet another week out, came turned on oven, said it's working, left. I tried it 15 mins left, didn't work, called them back and of course they could not reach technician who was rushing home to beat traffic (told me this before he left). Yet another week, another guy, came out said a wire was loose, so he fixed it. I tried it a few times after he left and would not start again. At that point we paid $89 for their service call, four weeks of no oven. Had stayed home 3 days from work, and when we called they seemed to have no record of previous visits, didn't believe me that it didn't work. They were really rude and after several phone calls I just gave up! Went with another vendor who was a complete 180! read more

I joined Yelp just to write this review. I'm writing because the service that I just received was beyond horrible. You would think for the amount that is spent on these high end appliances, some extra money could be paid to find good customer service representatives without an attitude. On September 1st, I called because the door spring broke on my refrigerator door. I called the service center to have a repair person come out to fix it, believing that it was covered under our extended warranty. The first available date was September 8th. At this point, the door would not close. Only after I climbed up myself and jerry-rigged it with a rubber band, were we able to open and close the door slowly. I requested an appointment after 1:00, I never received a confirmation call the day before and the repairman showed up and tagged my at 11:58. So, I had to call and request another appointment. The next available date was September 12th (now 2 weeks later) The repairman showed up on the 12th without a ladder of his own to check the refrigerator. He saw the spring that I had placed in a plastic bag and said that he needed to order the part. He left a pink copy of the service order. After that, I never heard anything again. Today, September 22nd, I called to check on the status of our repair. Unfortunately, my call was answered by Virginia. I explained that I just wanted to check on the status of our repair. Her reply was - "we won't order the part until you pay $99.95." I told her that I thought it was under warranty. Her reply was " you bought this in 2010, so what warranty are you talking about?" I told her that we had purchased an extended warranty. She said that it expired last year and they will not order the part until we paid $99.95. I then questioned how would I have known that I needed to pay this, if I had not called. She said it was on the pink paper the repairman left me. I told her that I couldn't find it anywhere on the paper and I read it to her. She argued that it was on the paper. (It isn't!) I know this was a long review, but it has been a long process with no resolution. If I had never called, I never would have known. Bray and Scarff has great salespeople in their stores, but it's another story if you ever need you need to deal with their repair center. Virginia is supposedly a Service Manager. I think you need to think twice about her being an example for customer service representatives that need to be trained. I called to get an answer to ask a simple question, not to be bullied by your manager with an attitude. This will definitely be the last time I deal with Bray and Scarff!
