The food was good and Alex, the manager, was so accommodating. I loved our spacious corner room. The bed slept great and I especially enjoyed the amazing shower pressure and lighted bathroom mirror for getting ready for the day. Overall it was an excellent hotel experience! I highly recommend this property.

The shower was so nice - the water pressure and shower head was my favorite part. The bed was also very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay. My biggest issue is how loud the heat was when it kicked on. It woke me up, but I get it, it's an older building and HVAC wasn't a thing when it was originally built. Restaurant was not open yet, and they are working out the kinks as we noticed during our breakfast. Hopefully that gets sorted out! But overall nice place! Downtown Dayton doesn't have much going on, so if you're wanting to stay here and be close to things, there's nothing around, or anything really open in the evening. So its not convenient for that.

Upon arrival, I noticed that the lobby was super clean and cozy, and I was greeted by very kind people at the desk. The room I stayed in, with thanks to my friend for earning us a free upgrade to a junior suite, was HUGE -- the perfect size for the two of us to live, work, and relax for a few days. Everything was, again, super clean, and the layout was superb (a C-shape from entrance to the bedroom area). I appreciated housekeeping's fabulous work, and all staff members I encountered were amazing throughout my stay. For the final night of my stay, I had to switch rooms, as my friend's reservation only lasted until Saturday and I made my own reservation for one night. I checked out of the first room at around 10:30am, and I was greeted by a manager at the front desk who, instead of simply offering a place for me to store my luggage, hooked me up with a room on the spot. She was incredibly kind and friendly throughout the interaction, which I really appreciated (especially since she absolutely went out of her way to accommodate this request). The king room I stayed in for the last night was also superb! As for amenities, I only really took advantage of the snack pantry, which was stocked with all the essentials. I 100% recommend this hotel, and I look forward to returning whenever I visit Dayton!

You can tell a lot of thought went into the redesign. The staff truly made the stay stand out. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed. The check in desk personnel had great food suggestions. The location is also a huge plus--within close proximity to plenty of food options, and I loved how the hotel connects to the beautiful rotunda. It made walking around the city easy and enjoyable. My only minor complaint was having to valet the car, but honestly, even that was handled really well. The valet employees were efficient, accommodating, and made the process smooth. We had to leave for the airport before a valet was there so let parked our car in the front so it was easy to get to. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for about two weeks (maybe more), and my experience was overall really good. The team that runs liberty worked really well with me throughout the process. With just one call, they either always answer right away or had a voice mail that ensures they will call right back (and they do!). Communication with them is very solid - be it via email or phone calls, so whatever concern or question you have, I'm confident it'll be addressed promptly. Before coming to Ohio, I knew I needed to book a place to stay. But I had questions about booking online, so I called the liberty lodging team. Guess what, they stayed on the phone and walked me through the process! - In booking online, I love that they didn't require my credit card info up front. When I arrived at the place, the reserved unit was waiting for me. It was very pleasant. The unit had: - a nice, cozy living room with a big sectional and a big TV - a full kitchen (with dishwasher, sink, stove, microwave, utensils, dishware, pots and pans, counter... etc.) - a spacious hallway - bedrooms with super comfy beds and pillows, and fresh, clean linens + study desks - each bedroom had its own designated bathrooms - the unit had a washer and dryer - outside, there was plenty of space for parking - there's also a secured front door, and an option to secure each bedroom - it smelled good, and whoever their house cleaning service company was, shoutout to them because they were excellent! I could go on and on with the specifics. I really liked their business plan. I came here to attend a program at AFIT, and I had roommates, which I really liked, in part because they were nice, and in part, because I am super down to expanding my social network. If you are too, then this place is something that you might truly like! Unfortunately, I had to move elsewhere because my boyfriend came to town to visit me and so I asked my roommates if they were cool with him staying with me for a couple of days. But one of my roommates wasn't comfortable having a male in the unit. So, with respect to my housemate's preference, I adjusted and just moved to Country Inns, which was just around the corner. Issues like this happen, and that's separate from the establishment. So overall, I enjoyed my stay at Liberty Lodging, even though it was a short time, it was absolutely a time well-spent. :) It goes without saying that I highly recommend liberty lodging!

It was clean, safe, and close to downtown. I was looking forward to the s'mores around the fire ring and the friendly proprietors I had read about, but I guess those are long gone. There's nobody on site to help with anything. Check in was confusing, as we didn't receive an email with our code. We arrived at 5 pm, but still had trouble getting somebody on the phone to assist us. There are no amenities, including ice. They point out the dumpster on property, so I guess there's that. For the price, this should be a nicer motel. I'll stay elsewhere in the future.

Breakfast was what you'd expect from a Best Western: solid and satisfying. It would be nice to see a bit more variety (maybe switching it up with bacon instead of sausage sometimes), but no real complaints. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you like to work out, the fitness area has everything you need, so no need to find an outside gym. I also appreciated the larger shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower--exactly what you'd expect from a "Plus" property. A member of my party who is not an IHG member was asked which floor they wanted and was given a ground-floor room. Yet I was not asked about my preference at check-in. I understand preferences are subject to availability, but I expected more consistency and more attention to member preferences. More concerning, on the morning of checkout, I was told checkout was at noon, but around 9:20 AM someone knocked and then used a key card to open my room door while I was in the shower! The only thing that prevented entry was the interior latch. That is a serious safety issue. I do not know who attempted to enter, and an occupied room should not be accessed before checkout while a guest is still inside. This needs to be reviewed as a room security issue.

When you enter the lobby, it is clear that they are undergoing a renovation. There are stacks of drywall and other building materials both inside and outside of the lobby. Maybe it gives others piece of mind, but I found it rather creepy. My room was on the second floor and there is no elevator. Not a big deal, but the stairwell looks like no one has maintained it in years. Dingy, musty and torn carpets. The hallway where the rooms are located was much better. But our room door was covered in what looked like splattered paint. The room had been somewhat remodeled, but it was either still in progress or maybe they just figured "eh, that's enough for now" For example, the headboard and mattress were clearly newer, but with the way the headboard stuck out, you couldn't fit your plug into the spots for charging on the bedside table. The picture above the bed clearly was smaller than the frame it was in and the furniture was all nicked up. But the bathroom was really clean. Minus the fact that the toilet paper roll was no longer attached to the wall (so the roll was just on the roller part but on the counter in the bathroom). Bed was more comfortable than I expected, but the pillows were basically non existent. I didn't know they made pillows as thin as they ones that were on that bed. I had three stacked and it just barely was the width of what you would typically use as a pillow. Overall, not a horrible place, but there is clearly a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully that happens with whatever remodel is going on.

The owners told us about the history of the home and shared their journey to BNB ownership. They were happy to recommend restaurants and places to visit. Each breakfast was a delight. One owner is a caterer so the food was delicious. This BNB is a gem and we highly recommend it! When in the area we will come back
