AC hotels are one of my fav, and I appreciate how consistent they are in the different cities and states I've visited. They always seem to located in or near a shopping center, and I love that, especially when I tend to book these hotels when I need rest more than anything. The other shops and retail stores in the area looked great, and I love the options. We went to get donuts, and there's space to walk your dog if you have one. Breakfast on the morning was just alright, I seem to remember a better breakfast. This just reminded me of the free continental breakfasts at cheaper hotels, not something I paid $16 for. The parking area has a fee per night, the spots are kind of tight, but it was nice to have a place to park my car safely. I wish I had more time to explore the area, but it was very nice. This was a great place to stop on my road trip, I felt safe in the hotel. Staff was friendly, and check in/out was a breeze.

Large windows and lots of natural lighting.

Only decaf coffee provided in the rooms. Breakfast is an additional charge on top of what is already paid - the kitchen manager will watch you like a hawk. The food isn't anything special either. The TV worked and the big windows were nice. I told the front desk about the decaf coffee the next morning upon checkout and they were very dismissive of my concerns. Oh yeah, I also couldn't find the ice machine anywhere. There was a mention of a hydration station but it was not user friendly to find at all.

Beautiful hotel with amazing amenities and staff! Stayed here after ctaching a great deal on hotels.com and wanting to check out Durham. I arrived a little late on my check in date and it was no problem at all. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They told me that my breakfast would be included in my rate and to let the attendant know in the morning. The attendant was super friendly and understood that my breakfast was included. They had a nice spread of fresh meats, cheeses, fruit, Greek yogurt, multiple coffees, and breakfast sandwiches. The lobby was beautiful, so I took advantage of that and worked away while eating breakfast for a couple of hours and it was no problem at all. After breakfast I checked out their workout area that was super spacious and had a peloton! So, I took my first ride and it was amazing! The rooms are super open, comfortable, and the tvs have tons of channels. The bed does not make you want to move, so definitely build in some rest time! Overall the hotel was so amazing and easily accessible to Duke and downtown. Definitely a must go to while visiting Durham!!!

Super chic European Modern style with cool vibes. Somehow they've managed the modern simplistic design but still managed to make the hotel feel comfortable and inviting The rooms are huge and well outfitted with a great bench along one wall under the tv that makes a great space for your stuff. A built in desk with in room Keurig is greatly appreciated The bathroom is huge and incredibly well-lit with a LARGE shower enclosure and ample counter space. Hanging space is a little tight but if you remove the robes and ironing board, it's sufficient Shampoo, Conditioner & body wash are in the shower. Other nice amenities are on a rolling cart under the sink. Overall a really nice room, comfy bed and friendly staff Breakfast buffet is yummy and we'll supplied by the attendants. Lots of healthy (and good less healthy) choices and a Nespresso machine plus drip coffee. If you get the rate that includes breakfast, it's well worth it Would definitely stay here again without hesitation

Our experience at Ac hotels was phenomenal. We spent one night here and would stay here again in a heartbeat. This hotel is super trendy but still gives a chic boutique feel. My fiancé and I loved the ambiance and the modern look with the fire place between the hotel lobby and restaurant. The hotel snack bar was packed with everything you could ever think of including wine, candy, food, local treats and travel essentials. The conference rooms were spacious and the gym had a brand new peloton and weights! We loved hanging out in the bar area. We ordered off their small plates menu and got Caesar salad, meatballs, a meat and cheese platter, and the most delicious macarons you could find in the area. The drink menu had some great options as well. We had some tasty cocktails in addition to one of the best old fashions you could imagine. Breakfast was awesome as it was a European style buffet. You had everything here including sweet & savory quiche, fresh breads, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, coffee, and more! We wish we could have this breakfast everyday. We stayed in a king room and truly felt like royalty. We loved how spacious the room was and how we could actually hang out & relax in our living space. The bathroom was probably one of my favorite parts as it was absolutely beautiful. Most importantly, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. One of the best parts of our experience was coming to learn that the head staff took almost exclusive part in the design and decoration of the hotel. Knowing that you have staff that treat this as their own baby is very refreshing and not something you frequently find in the industry- especially with a large chain brand like a Marriott. We highly recommend that anyone visiting the RTP area make this their stay of choice time and time again.

Seems like a good bar that closes early, and that's all there is to it. It's very expensive.

The hotel itself is unique, stylish, and made for a memorable stay. I also have to give a special shout-out to The Count House bar. My group stopped in late looking for a drink, and Sara and Rachel welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality. They made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. Sara crafted what was, without question, the best Mezcal Old Fashioned I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced and expertly made. Between the outstanding cocktails and the incredible service from both Sara and Rachel, our night ended on the perfect note. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so memorable. I can't wait to stay at 21c Museum Hotel again and will absolutely be returning to The Count House on my next trip!

Once the offices of a bank, it feels a little corporate, but not modern-day corporate, more like early/mid-century corporate and I can get into that! You'll be greeting by the staff that will help with valet or luggage and directed to reception up on the second floor. When you get out of the elevator, you may again be doubting that you're in a hotel because there's the museum and depending on what artist is being exhibited, it may feel like you've wandered into an alternate universe of sculpture and paintings. Admittedly, it's a little sterile rather than luxurious or minimalist or maximalist (or whatever vibe a hotel is going for with their lobby). No signature scent. No floral displays. While at first it was a little off-putting, it wasn't a big deal because the museum concept is truly unique. My favorite amenity is the water. Seriously. They give you two refillable bottles and encourage you to use the water dispensers in the lobby and gym. I also appreciate the cozy robes in the room, Malin + Goetz products in large dispensers, cutting down on the small bottle waste that drives me insane. I usually don't do coffee in hotel rooms b/c it's so substandard (I despise Keurig) but here it's Nespresso, which is pretty good. Not a fan of the heating/cooling system in the room. I like to sleep with moving air and the thermostat in my room seemed to be locked. Note to self to always check this when I arrive because I sure as hell don't feel like doing so when it's time to go to bed. The gym is reallllly small and in the basement. I wouldn't look forward to working out down there, but it is what it is. There's one elliptical machine, a couple stationary bikes and treadmills. Cable weights, plenty of free weights and a couple kettlebells. It's just really small and I was grateful that I had it to myself because I need room when I'm doing a strength workout. And those chilled eucalyptus towels are LIFE, almost making up for the tiny windowless gym! I enjoyed my stay here. It might be my favorite of the three hotels that I've stayed in when visiting Durham. I think given the location and amenities, the value is good (when I was booking, it was significantly cheaper than the Marriott where I stayed the last time).

Very friendly crowds, i got to experience the southern hospitality. I got a room with king bed and city view. It was nice to watch the sunset on the skyline each evening. It is next to the pool, so we can hear people at the pool. But it's very nice if you want to enjoy the pool. In terms of security, the place is locked at night. There's a security guard. Went to make a cup of coffee in the in-room pod coffee maker, and it was so scaled up that I never got over a small amount of coffee in the cup. This is basically a party hotel. It is a dark spot on the Hyatt hotel name.

This place wasn't here the last time we were in town, but it's a perfect place to stay now. Located just off the Duke east campus, it's along Main Street, a couple minutes from Ninth street in one direction, downtown the other, and little jaunt to the Durham Bulls park and very close to the main freeways in the area. The building is very long - we were at the far end and it helped us get our steps in! The room we were in was at the end in a corner and was an odd shape - literally no other way to put it. The bedroom was good size, the couch room was just a little small. We have three little dudes sleeping in there and they did just fine. I just required a little feng shui! The bathroom had a random fifth wall that the toilet sat on. Not a big deal, just different than we've seen elsewhere. Our room was right over the parking garage, which was also very awkwardly shaped. There's a spot at the far end that you need to back into as we found it impossible to three point into it. Again, not a show stopper, but good to know ahead of time. The overflow lot across the street was much more straightforward. There's nice sitting space, a lively bar and a good medium sized workout area. The breakfast was solid, the market delightful, the staff lovely and the grounds overall very nice.
