Construction around the hotel so e careful and follow the signs ...other than that it's smoke parking around the lot and underground. Ample spacious rooms : hotel rooms / living area / and CLEAN!!! The elevators worked - continental breakfast was your normal breakfast. I stayed 2-nights for a business trip. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to come home.

King room! Love the desk & the TV has an adjustable mount that moves in and out now just side to side

The Hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It's new and it was really easy to get to right off of the highway. It's not downtown so you can't walk to restaurants but it's very close to North Carolina Central University, and still not far away from downtown. I gave it 4 stars for a couple of reasons. The design of the hotel room is amazing you walk in and it's a sofa with an ottoman and then it has a desk with a light as well as the pictures are perfectly placed on the wall. If you have to work and take a zoom call it also has a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom is really cute. It has barn doors a nice updated modern shower sink and everything is beautiful ... here's the problem I had. I'm not a fan of a wall unit because when it's on it's noisy . This one wasn't as noisy as some, so it's clearly an updated version yet it's still a wall unit. I couldn't get the temperature to adjust right so that could be user error but I kept hearing it coming on and going off all night. The other thing that was a mess was the pillows, I can't say they were flat. I can't say they were fluffy they were in between and as you'll see from my picture I had to kind of pile him up to get them to even halfway work.. There is nothing worse than not being able to sleep in a really cute and modern room! I do also appreciate that you have to put your key in the power switch on the wall. My assumption is they're doing this to save energy in the room so that's nice. I am glad that I saw it when I came in the room because I put the key in and turn the air conditioner on so that when I came back the room would be comfortable.. I would definitely stay here again if it weren't for the pillows! Everything else I feel like I can work around which is why I gave at four stars. So if you are coming, bring a pillow from home lol!

It's probably what you would expect from a new hotel in this Marriott class. Everything is clean and looks spiffy, if not luxurious. Rooms are good-sized and tailored to those who need a work space in their hotel room. It's on the fringes of downtown, a five-minute walk to DPAC and the ballpark, more of a hike to anywhere else including most restaurants. It's a comfortable enough choice and may offer better pricing than some of the central downtown hotels.

The hotel itself is nice and brand new. Very clean. Convenient parking. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. My issues: the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was pretty much nonexistent. They didn't even have the basics like juice or water. We ended up going outside of the hotel for food.

This hotel is a solid economical pick when staying in Durham. It's only a 15 minute walk from Main st or a couple minute drive. The rooms are nicely renovated and make you forget you're in a Spring Hill, you're only reminded when it comes to service level, coffee bar, and free breakfast selections. You'll be able to find something but i suggest yogurt and a pastry and steer away from the premade bfast sandwiches. The rooms are clean and nicely laid out, however the glass separator is so loud when moving it or even walking. I was trying to work early in the morning while my boyfriend slept, and as soon as I sat at the desk the glass rattles violently. I assumed it would calm down after that, but continued shaking as I typed so provides the opposite effect as it should. Be careful walking around as there is fast traffic at the corner and tent city across the street. Good parking garage option to ensure your vehicle is safe

Very nice hotel. I'm here for business and I feel quite safe and comfortable. There's a gym, fwys are close by, the staff is friendly, free breakfast.

The hotel itself is unique, stylish, and made for a memorable stay. I also have to give a special shout-out to The Count House bar. My group stopped in late looking for a drink, and Sara and Rachel welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality. They made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. Sara crafted what was, without question, the best Mezcal Old Fashioned I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced and expertly made. Between the outstanding cocktails and the incredible service from both Sara and Rachel, our night ended on the perfect note. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so memorable. I can't wait to stay at 21c Museum Hotel again and will absolutely be returning to The Count House on my next trip!

The Durham Convention Center is attached and the Carolina Theare is next to it. DPAC was about a 10-minute walk if that and included waiting for the traffic signals. Valet parking is $30 a night, so I decided to find a place on the street again. So I got street parking right near the hotel for free as it was the weekend. I am not a fan of valet or of paying $30 for parking. There are parking garages nearby if you prefer that. The staff was very friendly and I felt treated very well here as a Titanium member with an early check-in, lounge access and free breakfast. I didn't see any snacks in the lounge this visit. For breakfast, you need to use your key to enter the lounge. Beverages are in the lounge, but you go to the restaurant buffet for the food. It is quieter in the lounge than where the restaurant is located. My room was on the other side of the building this time and I didn't hear the train once. Usually, when I use a free night certificate, I tend to be put in the worst room available. But thankfully, that wasn't the case here, my room had a large window with a lot of natural light. The room had the vinyl plank flooring to look like hardwood and the decor and furniture were up to date. My stay was very comfortable here. This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed and look forward to my next visit. I can see coming here for a staycation.

The lobby is large with a bar that offers up a (very limited and price-gouging) Starbucks menu, with plenty of places to sit even if you're not ordering anything. Speaking of, I recommend you leave the hotel in search of coffee because my very basic iced espresso that's normally around 6 dollars at a Starbucks was 10 dollars here plus tip. My room was pretty basic, don't expect much in terms of a view even though the windows are large. Decent-sized, comfy beds/linens. No bathrobe in the room (not sure if you can ask for one). I was informed that I'd get access to breakfast/evening refreshments in the lounge but I didn't have time to partake so I can't report on that (nor the gym). While slightly dated in appearance and a little basic overall, I feel the location makes up for all of that. I also got it at a decent rate which helps.

One of the reasons I came back to stay again is because I find the rooms to be very quiet, but you can hear some cars go past. Cars I can tune out, loud neighbors I can't. Also the breakfast is varied and they have some items that are a bit healthier like chicken sausage (in addition to pork), and 3 kinds of eggs (boiled, scrambled, and sunny side up.

This Residence Inn in Durham fell short in ways that are difficult to overlook. The positives: * Convenient location, especially for Duke and medical visits * Spacious room with modern décor * Extra-large bathroom and generous vanity -- easily the best feature * Breakfast area was spacious and pleasant (food was standard Residence Inn fare) The problems: Sleep quality is a basic hotel expectation, and this property did not deliver. The HVAC unit was extremely loud and cycled on and off all night. There was no clear way to turn it off completely, and it repeatedly woke us up. The refrigerator was older and made a constant ticking/compressor noise. Between the two, restful sleep was nearly impossible. Parking added another layer of frustration. There are very few surface spaces, a very small garage, and guests are charged for parking on top of that. Charging for parking when availability is this limited feels unreasonable. Additionally, the shower was missing body wash upon arrival -- a small detail, but one that speaks to oversight. We reported the HVAC noise and missing body wash to Tiffany and a woman who appeared to be a manager (Scott). While both were polite, no Bonvoy points or other acknowledgment of the inconvenience were offered. The room layout and location are strong, but between the noise issues and parking situation, we would choose another hotel in Durham in the future.

This place wasn't here the last time we were in town, but it's a perfect place to stay now. Located just off the Duke east campus, it's along Main Street, a couple minutes from Ninth street in one direction, downtown the other, and little jaunt to the Durham Bulls park and very close to the main freeways in the area. The building is very long - we were at the far end and it helped us get our steps in! The room we were in was at the end in a corner and was an odd shape - literally no other way to put it. The bedroom was good size, the couch room was just a little small. We have three little dudes sleeping in there and they did just fine. I just required a little feng shui! The bathroom had a random fifth wall that the toilet sat on. Not a big deal, just different than we've seen elsewhere. Our room was right over the parking garage, which was also very awkwardly shaped. There's a spot at the far end that you need to back into as we found it impossible to three point into it. Again, not a show stopper, but good to know ahead of time. The overflow lot across the street was much more straightforward. There's nice sitting space, a lively bar and a good medium sized workout area. The breakfast was solid, the market delightful, the staff lovely and the grounds overall very nice. It's a great property with some quirks and lot of really nice character. We'll be back!
