Its affordable, great location, clean, spacious and safe. I loved everything about the room- the rainfall shower, the fridge, the TV and the bed. OMG the bed was so comfortable. The staff in the front desk are friendly and helpful. Great location if you are going to shop is in the same location as the Sawgrass Mills Shopping mall and so many restaurants options. Thank you for an amazing stay.

This is the new AC at Sawgrass Mills - the hotel is very European designed and looks pretty amazing from the inside and outside. I had some issues with my first room with some water leaks at the sink so I was able to get another room in short order. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Some of the dining options are expensive but it is line with this tier of hotel. The bar had some delightful drinks.

I'm still in disbelief that I paid so much for such an exhausting, substandard stay accompanied by poor customer service. I checked in at 3:45 on this past Friday afternoon after flying from the west coast. The desk clerk asked if a handicapped room was ok and as I have health issues that necessitate such occasionally, I agreed. It was also mentioned there was an event that evening, but at the time I did not realize the significance of this. I drop my things and get some shopping in, heading back towards the hotel around 8ish - only to discover that the "event" referenced was an 18th birthday party on the eighth floor rooftop complete with DJ and karaoke AT DEAFENING VOLUME. I ordered food (just an aside, the dust staff apparently has a huge issue with allowing delivery to your door despite your agreement to such. I was told "this is not your apartment.") In any case, I put my headphones on to deal with the noise, eat my dinner and try to rest. Once the music stopped, then the noise on the floor I was staying started. There was running up and down the halls and doors slamming. I assumed that most of the kids from the 18th birthday party were on my floor so again I put on my headphones and unsuccessfully try my best to sleep. It was when I undressed for bed that I realized how filthy the floor was. Walking across the floor barefoot, my feet picked up a disgusting amount of dirt and particles. I woke the next morning to try to take a shower, and realized how narrow the shower was. I am not a large person and could barely shower as there is a very small amount of floor space to stand where the rainfall shower comes down, and the drain starts. on top of that, the shower curtain is at least 6 inches too short and the ledge is not tall enough to stop any water coming out of the shower. Since it was so narrow, as well, I got the decidedly unpleasant experience of the shower curtain continually sticking to me throughout the shower. Needless to say, water covered half the bathroom floor. I used towels to clean it up as I am in a rush for my day's plans. When I return that evening, I am looking forward to getting cleaned up to meet friends for dinner. I take another shower and again, half of the bathroom floor is puddled in water and I step out onto the shower mat and promptly slip and fall. It is at this point I called the desk and let them know how miserable this stay has been. The desk clerk was very polite and apologetic, and offered to have the supervisor call me. This supervisor called and was decidedly not apologetic and not helpful whatsoever. She literally asked "what is it that you want me to do". Although she did say she could have someone come clean up the water, she also argued about the birthday party and the volume and denied any running up and down the hallways and doors slamming. All in all, she could have easily avoided this review by just listening and understanding how scary that fall was to someone that had recently had spinal surgery. She then asked, did I want to speak to the general manager tomorrow, and I said yes. I never received a call not surprisingly. As I was checking out, the desk clerk asked how I enjoyed my stay. I said I did not at all enjoy it and was very unhappy. at that point, he put his head down and finish the checkout and handed me the receipt. I travel to Fort Lauderdale frequently and this is the first I've stayed here - but will absolutely be the last. If you enjoy spending a lot of money for very little service, please stay here. Also, please enjoy the picture attached of the washcloth. I had to continual used to clean my feet in my expensive room with crappy shower.

AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Sawgrass Mills/Sunrise is a great place to stay when you are in the area. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best stay. Great experience every time I have been here.

This is a truly stunning and fresh property. Staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful, and the rooms themselves felt very modern and refreshing. The location is great, within walking distance of the Mall and Outlets. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stay elsewhere. Blood and hairs on bed, white drips on chairs and headboard, unswept floors and dirty showers and walls. Round 2 cleaning ...exact same, the bed was redone fresh towels and toiletries but, NOTHING was cleaned. See pictures want to stay here? I don't think so. I stayed in a double room one bed had hairs on it, I was tired after traveling for 2 weeks internationally so I just slept on the other bed. When I woke up the next morning I pulled the comforter away and saw it was stained with dried blood. The front desk sends the housekeeping supervisor and I send her 8 images of all the filth and show her the comforter. She said she is shocked and can't believe it and sends someone to clean the room. Imagine how pissed I was to find the same blood stained comforter had been remade on the bed! I call the front desk furious and they sent another housekeeper to change the sheets and comforter at night - she came in literally video chatting with a friend. Only put the phone in her pocket once she got to the bed, which requires you to walk all the way onto the room. What kind of mickey mouse operation is this?!?! Anyways, she changed the bed, I tipped her since it was late and cancelled my other nights. I planned on staying 4-10 nights and left after only the 2nd. Just no! You deserve better. Here's the short list as to why not to stay here. Not a Marriott brand standard at all staff needs professional hospitality training. 1. Unsanitary rooms 2. No private parking, you park along with shoppers in the crowded Sawgrass Mall 3. They charge you $20 / package received 4. Twin size pillows in double room vs standard Queen size. Two of the pillows side by side do not even reach the sides of a full bed. More like a euro throw pillow. If you turn your head at night you're off the pillow.

    The bar

The AC Fort Lauderdale is a great place to do some shopping with nice rooms and a great staff. I was here for work as my office is nearby and I am a remote worker. The check in staff was the best, the rooms are big and comfy. If you need a drink, the bar is cozy and well stocked, and CJ is the best. She was so much fun, chatted with us about the area, and tuned a hurricane watch into a party on a Wednesday night. All in all 10/10.

The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in, and the room was quiet, making for a great night's sleep. This Double Tree is located on Sunrise Blvd in Sunrise Florida. It is right across the street from the Sawgrass Mills Mall which is in walking distance. Both rooms I reserved on the 8th floor were dated with a fair amount of wear and tear. Still the rooms were kept clean. Guest services here has been hit or miss in the past and this visit was no exception. I reserved two rooms and my room went without incident. I reserved both rooms for a two day stay. For some reason, they checked my guest out of their room and had them recheck in. No explanation was given and I only found this out after leaving the hotel when I received extra charges to my credit card. When I called the hotel, their remedy was to send me the invoices and have me figure out what charges were wrong. When I looked on the Hilton app where I reserved the rooms and paid, they had altered my reservation so at that point I had no idea what the original charges were. Since I don't work there, and I can't see what the original charges were, I have no idea how I am supposed to figure out how to make sense of any of the emails they sent. The person who I talked to on the phone was apologetic, but the remedy was not satisfactory. To make it worse, this is not the first time I have had a similar problem with this specific location. I would have given 1 star, but am giving 2 because I had had a problem before and didn't learn from my mistake. I promise I won't be making the same mistake again.

I don't mind paying a deposit if it's made clear when making the reservation and/or if the place is nice or has any type of billable services. I mean I'm a Wyndham Platinum member so if they need more money from me, they know how to find me. I don't understand how a crappy property feels they have the right to hold onto and tie up extra money of mine, on top of what I'm already paying. It's pointless, inconvenient, and asinine. I will say that the exterior and the lobby looked nice. And the most pleasant thing about this hotel was the man who checked us in on Friday and who was working Saturday. He was extremely polite and professional. At no fault of the hotel, they had a lot of chusma coming in and out this weekend and I saw this man handle all the situations very nicely. But the next reason for my review is that there were only two towels in the room for two adults for two nights. I asked the girl at the desk who had an attitude and was dressed very unprofessionally if they switched them after multiple nights, and she said after three nights. I asked her for more, but it's an inconvenience to have to do that and gross that they would think that's acceptable. The next thing is that the room appeared generally clean, but smelled extremely musty to the point of bothering my allergies. Then, for whatever reason the most obnoxious sounding fire alarm I've ever heard went off at 7:00 in the morning. I know each Wyndham property is independently owned and operated, but if they'd like to see how a true five star La Quinta operates, they should check out the one on Outlet Mall in Saint Augustine, FL for advice.

When we returned, we really settled in and checked out the room. I wish I took a detailed picture but the first odd thing was the shower door. There was only half, with the other half completely open. We took our dog out for a walk and I found a dying baby bird on the ground in the parking lot, which I was unable to save and did not sleep well that night. I mention that because when we were leaving upon checkout, there was a different dead baby bird right outside the side door of the hotel. Where to begin…read more.. First, let me take you to the check-in process where a less than friendly associate "greeted us." That's right, I put it in quotations because I didn't really call her half-hearted way of welcoming us to be an actual greeting. A line immediately started forming behind us. Is it standard to only have 1 semi-awake staff working the check-in counter at Staybridge Suites? She did not tell us where the elevators were located causing us to walk the opposite direction of the elevators (of course!) and backtrack all the way to the other side with our heavy luggage. How have this place gotten such good reviews especially citing their wonderful staff and friendly service? This, I have yet to see. As a general observation, the place could also use some sort of a renovation. They've worked on the decor to spruce things up but it does look a bit worn down in parts and could benefit from an actual renovation in my opinion. Now, on the way up to the room we had to wait for a very slow moving elevator since the other one is out of order. I really do mean slow... As in it took a good few minutes to get down to the first floor (only 4 floors). Also, the hallway by the elevator is so little that it gets easily crowded whenever someone with a cleaning cart or a lot of luggage is in there waiting for the one single and not to mention, spatially-challenged elevator. The other elevator had been off and on in broken state during our entire stay leaving only the slowest one available for use. The room, however, is nice and clean though the carpets look older. The suite lives up to the terminology in a compressed kind of way but of course, you can get one bigger. There is a small kitchenette with sets of dishes and some cookware, a full-size refrigerator, a stove top, a microwave, and a small dishwasher. This would be perfect if you are traveling with children and don't want to pay excessive amounts of money to take them out to eat for every meal. There is a flatscreen TV that is about 32 inches which swivels toward the direction of the livingroom area or the bed, depending on your location. However, it doesn't fully face neither direction so you have to be at the right angle to watch it straight or you'll be watching at an angle (or try to move the console but remember to move it back before you go to sleep or else it will be an accident bound to happen in the dark!) The room we have overlooks the pool which is great. We can check the pool status before actually heading in for a swim in case it's packed with children. I don't know how we got so lucky but this is one of the few cool things about our room. We tried the pool out and it's actually quite great. You have to use your room key to get into the pool area itself. They have a small towel shed, a place for your used towels, and some lounge chairs to sunbathe in when you're not in the pool. They have so many seating available by the pool area and around it. There's a fireplace, a covered barbeque area and some patio furniture underneath the shades of the trees. It's a very relaxing setting. Breakfast was pretty good overall. It's a buffet style with breakfast options such as fresh fruits, pastries (muffins, donuts, danishes), yogurt, tea (regular and flavored), juice and coffee bars, waffle, bagels and different bread varieties if you want some toasts, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, and some additional breakfast accompaniments such as cheese, salsa, cottage cheese, and tomato slices! I loved the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was very flavorful and the biscuits were flaky. I wish they'd have these everyday! Their main breakfast items are sometimes a miss though such as the day we had scrambled eggs that had some hard, dry pieces served with some thinly sliced ham which were flavorless and rubbery. Then other redeeming so-so days with pancakes, egg whites and some paperthin bacon. The best thing about their breakfasts, is the fact that it's free and they do put out a good spread. The hotel also offers a social at the dining room from Monday to Wednesday, 5:30-7:30 offering free wine, beer, and some munches. Wings, crudites, mini pulled pork, cole slaw, hot dogs, potato salad just to name a few. We didn't really get to attend any except on Tuesday when we were coming back from dinner and I grabbed a glass of wine. They had Beringer 2 different kinds of whites and a merlot and cabernet. They had 2 types of beer and it's all in a self-serve basis. Despite all the not so pleasant events during the first day, our stay here was all right. The hallway noise are very audible and there were a lot of children running around after 9pm which was highly irritating but remember, if you keep the fan on it lessens the noise level!

The insurance company was footing the hotel bill so we had to find a "good" hotel but not an expensive one. We also didn't know if we'd be out of the house for days/weeks/months so we wanted to be local to the house and work. We have dogs and cats - when I asked a friend for a recommendation she immediately suggested Staybridge. We initially didn't set the reservation to include the animals because we didn't yet know the extent of our stay. (They charge $50 then $10 a day for a limit of $150 but I don't know if it's per pet or per room. I didn't ask because I wasn't up to booking them.) This is an extended stay hotel, the longer you stay the less you pay per night. The price tiers are every 7 days. I booked for 15 days but wound up only staying one night so they adjusted my price per night. It still was a good deal. The hotel is inset from Pine Island Road - you drive towards the building and to the entrance on the left. The hotel exterior is painted nicely - it has a clean, modern feel. The front desk is right on the other side of the glass doors - that lock at 11 p.m. and require a hotel key or using the phone by the door for entry. The dining/bar area looked clean and nicely designed as we walked to the elevators. The room signs are bizarre - the hallway starts with room 221 and ends with room 201. The sign reads 221-201. Ok. But on the same sign, there's another row of rooms listed - with the numbers going UP - rooms 222 to 249. They should use separate signs. We walked down another hallway and found they have closets for guest use! The hallway looked great - although, honestly, because of the narrowness of the closet area, I was waiting for the twin girls to appear...a la The Shining. Our room was more of the same - clean and really nicely decorated in blues and browns. We stayed in a Queen Studio Suite - a kitchen with full fridge, 2 burner stove, etc., living room area in the same room as the bedroom furniture, a bathroom sink/prep area and a bathroom with a roomy shower and adjustable shower head. Our thermostat needed a new battery. When we called to ask for batteries, the front desk person couldn't understand that thermostats used batteries. Tom removed the thermostat from the wall and brought it to the front desk! She told him she'd have someone bring us batteries. When that never happened, Tom went back downstairs to the desk and she rifled through tv remotes until she found batteries. I know that batteries in thermostats can last for years but you're a hotel. You need to assume they may be old and not last as long as they should, someone might steal the batteries, etc. They do everything else right and then jerry-rig it when a guest needs something as simple as 2 batteries. In the morning, we checked out the complimentary breakfast buffet. It's plastic wrap wrapped small apples, oranges, under-ripe bananas, waffle/pancake batter/makers, oatmeal station, coffee area, table of scrambled and omelette style eggs and bacon in catering trays and a baked goods display. We walked through before leaving to eat at a bagel place - where we had scrambled eggs, grits and toasted bagels with coffee. We didn't leave to have a decadent or even different breakfast - the buffet just looked meh. While it was packed with guests it didn't look appetizing to us. More for them! We didn't do it, but they have socials/happy hours Tuesday thru Thursday, where for 2 hours you have a free meal and wine. This week it was a baked potato bar, grilled burgers and I think brats. Hey, it's free if you want it. Overall, the hotel and it's staff were so warm and inviting that we told the front desk guy we'll recommend them to our out of state friends who'll be visiting. We know they'll enjoy the location - and proximity to good restaurants like J Alexanders, where we had our dinner after checking in. About the flood - thankfully it's NOT a leak in the slab under my house but rather a leak to the freezer's water line. So we get to live at home - with 3 rooms of missing floors and air blowers everywhere...maybe we should just drive over to Staybridge...
