After making communication with him by text, I sent him pictures of the job, pictures of the air-conditioning units he'd be installing, which were all window air-conditioning. There were three total.... Told him needed work completed by the 3rd of July because my electrical contractor left me in a bad position saying he could install units and then he realized he was in over his head.. AC in LA said he'd get back with me and didn't! For somebody who had such great reviews, I'm really disappointed, he's flakier than a box of cornflakes.... :( I got the work done, but no thanks to him.. I don't know if he got too busy, but he has a phone he could've picked it up decided he didn't want to do the job and let me know but nothing - crickets.. I do not recommend him if you're in a time crunch position as I was.. Never again, it's a very poor way to do business! zero stars if possible.. read more

He did a beautiful job installing an air conditioner in my window, but the particular unit happened to be defective and made a really loud rattling sound after I'd had it on for a few hours. Lenny was extremely kind and courteous when I contacted him about the issue, and installed a new one for no extra charge. He even was able to make this happen on a tight schedule, as I had to leave for a work trip within a few days. I've now had the new air conditioner for two months, and it works great -- especially because Lenny did such a thorough job sealing around the installation that the air conditioner is very efficient. My girlfriend was able to contact Lenny on Monday and Lenny answered all messages within 5min. Was able to arrange for an appointment the same week on Friday at 1pm, right as the weekend heatwave was approaching as temperatures reached triple digits. Lenny arrived 5 minutes early and was extremely professional and courteous. He installed an 8000 btu window unit using a support bracket from our second story apartment unit. As we live in a 1920s building, and wanted to limit the number of screws/holes due to some of the craftsman features within our apartment, Lenny was very considerate of this and did a fantastic job. He finished by sealing the edges with silicone, as to maximize the efficiency of the window unit. I would recommend this service to anyone. Hey Yelpers, how's it goin'!? So... being a girly girl I never do anything around the house that requires a hammer, or nails and anything of the sort. Also, non of my guy friends are handy or of much help at all. So what is a girl to do?--- Go on yelp! I just moved into my new apartment (off of a noisy street) and found out that there was a lot of noise coming in from my windows. Apparently, my window AC was installed by a monkey and it wasn't done properly. There were holes everywhere and air/noise was seeping in. It need to be fixed so I hopped on yelp to find someone for the job. After calling a few company's I was told that they don't work on window AC's... not sure why. I finally got in touch with AC in LA and spoke with a nice guy named Lenny. He was very friendly and patient and agreed to come look at my AC free of charge. When he got here he assured me that he can fix the current install within 25 minutes and it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. So I agreed. He made sure everything in the window was insulated well and now I hear a lot less of the street noise from the outside. No draft either during the windy day!!! :) All in all, I'm glad that I found a good company that really knows how to provide customer service and does a really good job at what they do. I just moved into a new apartment and needed to get rid of a broken AC that was already there and put in a new one. Id like to thank AC in LA for their great service! This is probably the best experience I've had when it comes to getting work done at my home. I felt like my window AC was not installed correctly and wasn't insulated well so it let in too much cold air. its been very cold lately and I wasn't able to fully close my window, I wasn't comfortable removing the AC myself and needed help.
