Had my haircut with an inspiration photo. The cut was fairly similar to my current cut, but maybe a bit more complex. The styling was different in front. My hair did not come close to the inspo pic. I got the feeling the stylist was just not enthusiastic about working or cutting my hair and didn't really try even after telling her several times what styling products do work on my hair. I came home and styled it myself and was able to make it look considerably closer to the inspo pic, but the haircut just missed the mark. Likely will not go back. read more

Save yourself a headache and don't come here. I asked my hair to be styled like the picture on the right for my wedding and the picture on the left is what I got. This experience only added stress to my special day. I had to get my hair redone by my make up artist and paid her extra to fix what the stylist at acacia had done. They don't take any responsibility if you aren't satisfied. The manager was extremely rude and tried to convince me the curls didn't form because my hair is too long and "thick". Meanwhile, my make up artist formed my curls beautifully and they lasted all day. Acacia manager said they don't do refunds because otherwise they would be doing refunds daily. Says a lot about this business and how often customers are dissatisfied. You can see how she comments on bad yelp reviews to justify their behavior and dismiss the customer's experience. It's the same attitude when you talk to her. Horrible customer service especially from the manager. read more

Said can do men's hair cuts yet got scissors happy with my boyfriends hair. She said she was done and he pointed out that one side was longer then the other and asked her to fix it, then she cut that side too short and had to fix the other side and this happened about two more times until his hair was super short and looked nothing like his inspo pic and wouldn't give any sort of discount or anything they only said he can come back in to get it fixed if he was unhappy yet how are u supposed to fix it when u already cut it all off. This review is long overdue. Crystal is the BEST! I've consistently get a 10/10 haircut with her every time, over the last couple years. She truly listens to what I'm trying to achieve and delivers that plus more. She often fixes my atrocious attempts at DIY haircuts and also gives me great advice on how to style, what to avoid for my hair type, and what products I should consider. My family and I had such a wonderful experience at Acacia Salon the morning of my wedding! I called in advance and reserved spots for several of us. Dana coordinated all of our appointment, sent reminders, and made sure we were all taken care of. Saba, the makeup artist, did an amazing job on making us look naturally beautiful. All of the hairstylists were friendly, great with the kids, and shared our excitement for this special day. The GASLIGHTING was crazy! Awful outcome from my overpriced "balayage" today. (Jaymie) I think was her name. I posted the inspo pic here as you can see it's not at all what I got. Clearly she was not a skilled colorist to do a balayage as I was gaslit into getting foil highlights instead. To which she assured it will look like pic... hell no it did not. And she knew it, I was concerned once she started with foiling.. I've had balayage before and this was not it from A to Z. While washing my hair "looking so good" no it's not.. clearly. How does yellow streaky y2k highlights look "good!"? I get very limited time away as a new mom and have limited funds to treat myself and am SO disappointed how this turned out. I cried once I got into my car went straight to Bartells to buy root touch up to try and fix the money pieces and streaks that "look so good with my skin" no it did not.. and shame on the person who scheduled me with her, as I stated what I was looking for and they suggested her... I played nice as I am not comfortable with confrontation but damn. Screw that place, again the gaslighting of it all was crazy, just say you can't do it! Oh and I straightened out the completely unnecessary prom curls she did at the end. Again it did not "look so good!" Over it and will not return to that salon again. Period. btw this cost me $350! Kids cuts are hard to get done and Crystal has a magic touch that keeps us coming back. Our 2 year old has done kid cut places and struggled to get through the appointment but Crystal has found a way to make him comfortable and also is attentive to the cut she's giving. She has never just tried to make it a "quick trim" for us and takes her time to make sure we get as close to what we asked for. Truly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. This was originally going to be a mildly negative review of about 2 to 3 stars, but the conduct of the owner was so shockingly bad that it is now a one star review. I would urge anyone I care about to avoid this place at all costs. Short version of the story: I asked the salon for something very specific, initially thought they had come close, and then realized how far off it was (and that the deviations really didn't flatter me). After washing my hair three times that night, hoping it would fade, I contacted them the next day. I am 30 years old and have never been so unhappy with a haircut or color that I requested a correction, but there's a first time for everything. It was also the most expensive haircut I'd ever had, so it seemed reasonable to try to achieve what I'd originally requested. I contacted the salon via Facebook messenger, hoping I might be able to come in for a correction. The salon owner immediately began talking about how much time and money it would take to fix. She did not ask what specifically I didn't like, which seems like it might have been useful information. She told me that the salon would not take responsibility because I had seemed happy during the appointment and hugged the stylist afterward. To me this is a totally bizarre stance. It is common for clients to feel differently about their hair after going home and seeing it in more natural light, and most high-end salons offer corrections for that reason. Furthermore, I had a very specific request which I had communicated via reference pictures in email, with clear verbal descriptions on the phone, and during an in-person consult -- all before the actual four hour appointment. I have evidence of my request (see email screenshot) and did not change my mind about what I wanted at any point. I could have been more assertive during the appointment itself and will own that, but I wanted to trust my stylist (Marika). It feels a little awkward and presumptuous to try to question a stylist while they're working. Anyway, after a few days of back and forth, the salon owner moved onto a different claim. She said that I had actually chosen the shade of red that the stylist used, which is simply a lie. The stylist showed me many swatches and I asked her not to go too dark, but I let her make the final call. We had looked at the same coppery red reference picture many times at this point. She said she would mix two together, disappeared into the back, and the next thing I knew, she was applying it. I was so disappointed by the fact that the stylist and/or owner would lie about this interaction that I did not feel like I could trust them with the correction. So I went to a different salon, where a different stylist did an amazing job rescuing my hair and giving me what I'd asked for. The contrast between Acacia's work and customer service couldn't have been clearer. They were more affordable, too, but it still took three hours and cost a considerable amount of money. I continued to correspond with Acacia because I hoped the owner might be willing to offer some refund or compensation for the correction done elsewhere. She had previously asked to know what they did and hear how much it cost. After I told her and showed her the corrected work, she became even more defensive. Within a few days, she contacted me and said she had talked to her lawyer, apparently to establish that a bad review from me would constitute slander and merit a cease & desist letter. Hence the one star review. Possibly the worst customer service experience I've ever had. She will say I am lying, of course. That's why I've provided screenshots and photos. I invite you to draw your own conclusions -- from them, and from the inevitable response she will post. Please save yourself time, money, and stress. Go literally anywhere else. read more

I am appalled at the extremely low level of customer service at this salon. I went in for a root touch up service and the receptionist charged me for a no show 4 months back which I had already been charged for. When the amount looked high to me I inquired what service I was being charged for and the receptionist confirmed it was just the root touch up only, conveniently missing to mention that she was overcharging me. When I realized I had been double charged after looking through my bank statements,, I called to let the salon know. It has been 10 days since, and each time I call I am told the manager will call me back to help but I have had no call and no one address this issue. This is frustrating to say the least. It feels like they are just trying to rip off customers without full disclosure, and don't care to fix the issue. I would strongly discourage customers from going here. read more

I've been going to Acacia Salon since I moved to Snoqualmie Valley so about 5+ years. In light of some of the reviews I've seen it was high time I took a minute to boast about this amazing salon and their very talented crew of artists. Personally, I've gone from over treated dark (almost black and very damaged hair) to short and sassy, to full 22inch extensions and now to my natural long healthy hair. I love how every idea I come up with is executed to perfection. Zoriana and Anjie are my stylists, when Z isn't available I can always count on Anjie to step in and make me feel beautiful. She is fun, thoughtful and just knows exactly what I love. I've shown up with haircut ideas where Zoriana thoughtfully tells me "your hair can't do that" or "you'll hate me if I cut your bangs like that" - I LOVE THIS and it's why I am never disappointed when I walk out the door. Zoriana is a beautiful sole who genuinely cares about my me and my family - my kids love her! She is a true talent with years of experience which shows in her work. The owner of the salon, Rene, is absolutely lovely - always taking time to come see me and ask me how I'm doing and complementing the outcome of my hair. She's a true professional and I'm grateful for her salon and the service I receive. I just can't say enough about how much I love Acacia Salon. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write this. I brought my daughter here for a haircut. I made an appointment using the website which stated a girls haircut was $25-$35. When I went to pay it was $45. They stated that they can't update their website every time they change their prices. Disappointing that they wouldn't let their customer know before starting the haircut that the prices have changed. They should honor prices on their website or let you know that the price has changed. I was told I should have asked the price first. Aside from this I did not find their workers to be very kind or compassionate to us. I would not come back here and would not recommend. read more

I scheduled my appointment a month in advance. Two days prior, I received a call to confirm and was told I had 6 hours reserved (2 people). We arrived and had to wait half an hour for prior client. Then My daughter and I were rushed twice. The first hour a colleague of our hair dresser chastised my daughter for leaving her seat to check out hair colors while the stylist mixed colors. Again , during the third hour we were told we have 45 minutes and have to hurry. I called in for an appointment for a hair color & was 1 week out. Got a confirmation that if I need to cancel, I need to call 24 hour in advance. When I showed up for the appointment, I was told that my appointment of hair cut + color, was cancelled & the business didn't know who canceled it & they gave the appointment to someone else. I respectfully stated that I never had a hair cut + color appointment & I only needed a hair color. I cancelled my other appointments for the day & waited a week to get this done. Unfortunately, the hostess was unapologetic & not willing to even check how they cancel my appointment, without even notifying me. This has happened to me twice & I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, if they continue to show unprofessional behavior. We recently had our small wedding at Salish Lodge, and I decided to have my hair and makeup done at Acacia Salon because of the close proximity. Marika styled my hair (a high, messy bun) and Zoriana did my makeup (light and natural). Overall, I was really happy with my experience and would recommend them to other brides. I opted to do a trial run two weeks ahead of time for both makeup and hair, which cost more but was totally worth it. Both stylists were super nice and welcoming, and listened to my requests. After leaving my trial run, I realized that I wasn't totally happy with the makeup look. It was definitely glam and wedding-like, but would be a bit much for our intimate ceremony. I was a little nervous about that, and worried about how to describe exactly what I wanted-- but when I went back in for my day-of makeup, Zoriana was completely amazing at understanding my concerns and the changes I wanted her to make. As she worked on my makeup, she would check in with me to see how I liked the progress and adjust as needed. The end result was exactly what I wanted, and I felt fantastic. I was so impressed with how she adapted the look and worked with me. Marika was friendly and easy to talk to, and made quick work of my updo. It turned out exactly how I wanted, so I was happy about that. Just before I left (after the makeup portion), I asked for one little tweak--more volume on one side--and Marika was super nice about fixing it for me on the fly, even though she had moved onto another appointment. If you are going for a social experience then this is the place for you . The owner Renee is very nice as all the girls here , but if you are going for a layered haircut for curly hair I would not recommend this salon. I have really really tried to hope for the best and given this salon over 3 tries for cutting my hair and every time is an absolute disaster. No one here knows how to cut long curly layered hair , with the exception of the owner Renee . She does not take new clients and is not willing to make time for new clients ( me ) when I call and repeatedly request her . So that being said I give up on this salon. Every time I have gone my hair is ruined and layers are always point cut and an absolute mess . As a result I always end up with frizzy , uneven messy hair. I have beautiful naturally wavy hair and it is now again a mess after my last cut there in May after the stores reopened. I desperately needed a hair cut and I don't know why I continue to hope for the best, every time getting a new person who is apparently bower than the last. I hate leaving this review as they are very friendly there but my hair is always awful afterwards. I'm really bummed as my hair has a very long time to grow out before it will ever be the same and be able to fall and curl naturally like it did before I went there. Please be advised and warned . I was about to leave for vacation and I like many others, wait until the very last minute to make hair appointments. I was desperate! I called around to a couple different salons and wasn't able to get in. My husband suggested I called Acacia and I am so glad I did! They were able to meet my appointment needs no problem. I met with Elyssa for a cut, color, and hair feather. She is super, super sweet and did a great job! I am a (graying) brunette and told her I am not a fan of red tones. She gave me a lovely dark brown with golden undertones - no red at all. The cut was nice. Basically a trim but unlike others who have cut my curly hair, it was even and showcased the curl. I needed some new perspective on my hair cut and color. I was hesitant to try somewhere new as I've been seeing the same hair girl for 10 years. I decided to throw caution to the wind and made an appointment for a full balayage and hair cut with Farrah. I don't think I actually had a balayage, but the color I did get is fantastic. Much better than I expected. And my cut is perfect. She heard everything I was saying even after we had our initial "cut conversation". Unfortunately for me, she styled it so well that I won't be able to do it myself. But lucky for her, she has a new and returning customer. Thanks Farrah. You made the start of 2016 a good one for me. I moved to Acacia when my hairstylist, Zorianna, decided to leave her Issaquah location. I'm not one to drive freeways if I can avoid it, but I was more than willing to follow Zorianna wherever she went. I've always said my hairdresser, my dentist, and my gynecologist are permanent fixtures in my life. They can't leave the state; they can't even die. I won't let them. Zorianna saved me from scalp problems to do with hair coloring which I'd experienced with my previous hairdresser. I wasn't confident that woman knew how to resolve the issue and I didn't want to suffer the burning rash that had occurred at my last appointment. When I consulted Zorianna she immediately explained how she might help, and if that didn't work she'd keep trying until she found a resolution. At my first appointment, she added a little Sweet and Low to the color to take the edge off and it worked. Hallellujah! I found my new stylist and a new best friend as it turned out. Zorianna also cuts my daughter's hair when she visits from Nashville. She agrees that Zorianna is great at what she does...makes suggestions if we ask...chats with us like girlfriends do. Acacia is also a very pleasant environment. The staff is pleasant. The facility is bright and welcoming. The products are top-notch. And Snoqualmie is literally like...a breath of fresh air. read more
