I haven't had the opportunity to hire Acacia yet but felt compelled to write a review because of a great experience I recently had. A client of mine has motorized blinds that kept getting stuck and not opening all the way. I called Hovik and he asked if I could send him a photo of the remote and that he could likely help me fix the issue over the phone. I sent him the photos in the evening and the next morning, he sent me a video of how to reset the blinds and I was able to reprogram the blinds perfectly. I'm writing this review because I reached out to several other companies on Yelp and they either flat out said that they can't help or that they'd have to replace the whole blind system. Hovik actually took the time to help me without asking for anything in return, and that says a lot about him and his business. I would definitely contact him for a window coverings project in the future! read more

What a JOKE this place is. They were sub contracted buy Lowes to do a custom roller shade project in our home. It was nothing short of disastrous. 1: Came to measure, sent in measurements to Lowes to order. 2: The wrong measurements were recorded, also missing some windows and double ordering other windows. ACACIA blamed Lowes, Lowes blamed ACACIA. 3: Shades come in a month later and they call me out of the blue at 8am to say they were nearby and wanted to come install. More notice would have nice and also courteous. 4: Shades are hung, they're all the wrong size and 2 of them are cut crooked ny being wider at the top ond coming inward toward the middle and bottom. They tried to say oir windows were crooked, give me a break. I took a leveler out amd squashed that theory real quick. We call Lowes per their request to arrange a re-measure. 5: They come back a week later. I walk them thru each window, like they are special needs little babies making myself abundantly clear on how I want the shades and the dimensions 6: A month later they again call and say they are on their way over. Again, no notice. 7: New shades are hung and they're EXACTLY the same incorrect measurements as before! Then they say I should have known that the roller was what should have been re measured and not the shades themselves and blamed me for the problem. I checked that guy and his smart mouth little comment real quick. How in hell is a customer supposed to know that? Its not my job to research how to measure when Im hiring you to do it for me. Jack ass. 8: We have Lowes call the manufacturer to perfect the order because Acacia obviously is incapable. They said it would be in by the end of the week. ... A month goes by and we dont hear back from Acacia so we call Lowes again and they said our order has been sitting there for over 2 weeks waiting for Acacia to come pick it up! 9: They call Acacia, leave a message and the next morning, which was a Saturday they started texting and calling my phone at 8 am saying they are on their way over. Unbelievable. 10: They arrive. Start drilling and banging around doing God knows what and guess what...? The measurements are still off on some and if that isn't bad enough, one shade the cut is so bad that you can see the knicks and the freying. Its a sloppy job. On another, the shade was deformed and all lumpy with indentaions on it and another 2 shades had smudge marks of who knows what on the corners. They also drilled holes on each window frame and then moved the mount above to go into the wall thus leaving 4-6 holes in wooden frame. They didn't have the courtesy to patch them so not only are we looking at crappy roller shades, we have to fix the mess they made. I also take issue with them deliberately speaking another language to eachother while simultaneously having a conversation with me or when doing the work. When someone I am doing business with has a side conversation in another language it tell me that they don't want the customer to hear what they are saying. Its unprofessional and it's very rude. I should also mention that every time they came back with new shades they would come back with double orders on one window or replacement shades for windows we were not changing. It was a cluster f**k every time. The last time they were here I asked them if they checked the shades before coming out and they said "No. We check them when we put them up". Perhaps if they checked the shades before coming out it would have saved a whole lot of time for everyone involved. Especially if they have been out here 4 X already. I mean really, its just common sense. But then again these are people that do nothing but window treatments. You'd think something as simple as this would go smoothly. I understand that sometimes things may not always go perfectly smooth but this is just ridiculous. Ridiculous and inexcusable. We spent the afternoon in talks with Lowes management who said we weren't the 1st ones this has happened to. That just thenother day he had customers with the same problem. There was also a lady customer waiting to speak to someone because her measurements were wrong too! Lowes had to give us a refund and finally this 3 month, timewasting nightmare is over. Acacia was a total savior when it came to window treatments/shades. We started off with Lowe's for custom window shades for the whole house, and that was a total disaster due to their limited staffing and response times. We were lucky to come across Acacia and Hovik, which totally changed everything. His team came and measured every single window (15+ windows). Hovik personally accommodated our schedule and came over with samples. He never rushed us, answered all our questions, gave genuine advice on what would look good in which room. It was so helpful to have someone actually in the house seeing our space to help us decide on which design works best for us. Hovik helped us see a point of view we didn't even think of, which would have never happened if you're just stuck in Lowe's or Home Depot overwhelmed with books of samples. Having him bring the samples (and he has a lot) of the textures, colors, designs into our space was a tremendous help because we felt certain in our final choice, and it wasn't a guessing game. The delivery/install was on time as he promised, there were never any issues through the whole process. Hovik takes pride in his work and it shows in how responsive and accessible he is. Job started off good. Went to Lowes paid for fitting and Hovick and crew came out. 4 weeks go by Lowes calls me to say . How are your blinds. At that time installation company had everything. But had not contacted me. After contacting them after many unanswered no return calls. They came out with the blinds. Wrong Valance for 2 blinds. Crooked blinds for one window. They told me they would be back in a month. They have not returned my calls. Lowes seems to not know what's going on. Hovick the owner does not return calls. This has been a total disaster on the installations part. I am ready to go to small claims because My job is not completed and Acacia is telling Lowes it is.
