I was impressed with the ease of ticket ordering online, as well as the view from every seat that I could have chosen for my party to sit in. There really was not a bad seat in the house! This theater is part of the North, Texas Performing Arts organization . They provide you with an education in the performing arts and the production of events. When I reached out asking for a fair resolution (such as continuing the class, converting to private/semi-private at the same rate, or receiving a refund), owner Chris Duncan responded by removing my daughter from all of her classes, including the ballet class she was also enrolled in and very much enjoyed. There was no mention of any policy violation or behavioral issue--simply removal following my inquiry. This action caused real emotional distress for my daughter. She had formed bonds with classmates and the teacher, was excited for ballet each week, and had even laid out her ballet outfit ahead of class. Having everything abruptly taken away left her confused and upset, repeatedly asking why she couldn't return to class. I reviewed all enrollment paperwork and found no clause allowing cancellation mid-term for low enrollment, nor any provision allowing the removal of a student from unrelated classes for raising concerns. We were hoping for a nurturing, transparent, and supportive learning experience. Instead, the decision by Chris Duncan following our request for resolution has left us deeply disappointed. I urge other parents to get all cancellation and enrollment terms clearly stated in writing before enrolling.

I called a dozen ballet studios before deciding on FSMPA. They had the best rate (5% off yearly…read moremembership paid up front), no costume fee for the recital (what do we do with $100 ballet attire anyway?), and they offer many other activities from music to arts to performing arts. Well, you get what you pay for. No glitz, no glam, no glitter about this place. Inconsistency with instructors (three in a year), curriculum, and award system (tokens for prizes given out with the first instructor but not the other two). We viewed the class on a TV screen but got to go into the studio once every other month to see them dance in person. The studio was always frigid (65 degrees) through the winter and summer time. I understand these girls are working up a sweat but they all came down with cold arms and hands. As for the recital, it was short and sweet. All classes (about seven classes with 10 girls in each) arrived early to get dressed. They all walked on stage and danced together. Then, each class did their own dance. At the end, they all got back on stage and did a final dance. Most other ballet studios have each class doing three individual routines. Depending on how long you want to stick around, I didn't mind this setup. The staff are mostly amicable. Shout out to Ms. Amanda for challenging the girls with difficult moves and also having lots of patience dealing with a bunch of girls with short attention spans.

Bad experience My kid's teacher was off, and we were given a sub teacher. This guy called Juan, wasn't patient with my girl and made her cry. Then after she cried, he just sat back and played with his phone. I DID NOT pay $40/ session just to have my kid cry and the teacher playing with cellphone. The owner Melody Ouyang was on vacation. The business manager apologized, but I never heard from the owner about the horrible experience. All they did was, to schedule another makeup class for my kid. But it was a terrible experience for my kid. Policy They have this ridiculous withdrawal policy, which is they charge $50/child when we want to withdraw kids from the school during Sept-July. No other schools has withdrawal charge like this. So on June 2, 2018 I was surprised to get a bill that charged me $164/kid for June tuition and another $189/kid for September tuition. Well, they said there's a $25/kid enrollment fee for 2018-2019 year and that I must pay Sept tuition to hold my kids' spots for 2018-2019. I said I'd like to withdraw my kids due to the bad experience we got (see above) and the business mgr said no refund for the amount we've already paid (September tuition) and when I pressed to move the Sept tuition to cover July, so I don't have to pay for July tuition, she kept saying she needed to get Melody Ouyang's permission (which Ouyang was gone on vacation for a long time, more than 2-3 weeks). I can't pull my kids in June/July, because they require a 30-day notice prior to 1st of each month. Long story short, I don't want Ouyang to come back and deny my request to move September tuition to cover July. If she declines in late June, then we must cram 9 lessons into 3 weeks. In July, they only have 3 weeks of lessons (due to Independence Day week). So before Ouyang comes back from vacation, I requested to just pay July tuition and cram 9 lessons into 5 weeks time. July lessons: 3 lessons plus September lessons 4, plus make up classes. They acted like they were giving me a favor and didn't charge me $50 withdrawal fee/kid (which I was told, that $50 fee is if I pull my kids during the school year). But I finished 2017-2018 year, from September 2017 to July 2018, so actually, there was no reason to charge me $50 withdrawal fee/kid in the first place. I am just appalled and disappointed after having been a loyal customer more than 3 years, to be treated like this. Never heard back from owner (Ouyang) personally. I sent her an email about the horrible experience and never heard back from her. I put my kids into the school because she's a Juilliard grad, but my kids were never once under her tutelage - understand Ouyang is very busy. So the fact that Ouyang is a Juiliard grad, doesn't help my kids' piano skills at all.

The clown let me know that the boy in front of my son was his last balloon. Ok, no big deal. I went outside and waited for our food. I looked over and noticed a little girl now holding the sign. I went in and told the clown that was rude to do to a little boy and allow other people to get in the line. He said he didn't but I was watching the entire time. And it was a boy holding the sign and now a girl. So I called the main number and the lady that answered the phone said, "it was just a balloon!" Ok well to a 4 year old it's MORE than a balloon. I would never hire people to host children's parties that had this demeanor.
