Places keep closing... over priced with everything. Concerts were fun until..... micromanaging for outside drinks started.

Our server was attentive and you could tell that a lot of locals swing by because she knew a lot of people coming in. The seating is first come first serve so be prepared for that. They have patio seating for those that want to enjoy the outside. The inside has a bar and plenty of tables. It can be a tight squeeze at some tables but makes it feel more homey. For food I had the breakfast sandwich and it was good. Pretty basic but everything from the toppings to the eggs were fresh and cooked well. The pancake was good and big so glad I tried it. Overall it's a great local spot that I will check out again.

We landed here about a year ago, come in once a month or so for Karaoke night. We are always…read morerallied in by our friend who loves to sing and is an ex-professional metal singer. We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.

I believe most of its usage is usually musical artists and small intimate concerts, but I was here to see a play. Specifically, I was watching "A Christmas Carol", a work I have always been fond of for my entire life. This was a special one hour adaptation of the play, written by Dr Andrew Harris. We did not come to McKinney specifically to see the play, but while we were there we were looking for a particular bookstore. Tiny Tim was outside the Performing Arts Center drumming up people to come in and watch the play when my wife asked him (really her) where we would find the bookstore. When we got to the bookstore, wouldn't you know, there was Dr Harris, doing an Author/Writer visit. How could we not take that as a sign and attend the play! Glad we did, it was a great experience!

My wife ordered the veggie burger with paneer, and even as a meat-eater, I was impressed. The fries? Out of this world. Crispy, seasoned just right, and served hot. But the cheese curds... wow. Hands down the best I've ever had. They've got this spicy, crispy breading and a dipping sauce that takes them to another level. Seriously--Keith Lee would love this place. The drinks were on point, the bartender was super welcoming, and the whole staff--including the owner--made us feel right at home. You can tell they care about the food and the customer experience. We were honestly surprised it wasn't packed. With food this good, a chill sports bar vibe, and TVs everywhere, this place should be way more popular. @Dallas101 should definitely feature it. It's exactly the kind of under-the-radar spot people need to know about. If you're in the area--GO. Whether you want a laid-back lunch, a spot to catch a game, or just some incredible bar food, Prism is a total win. We'll definitely be back.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to some initial confusion. When we sat down, the bartender mentioned that happy hour was only Monday through Thursday, even though the menu clearly states Monday to Friday. Thankfully, our waitress was more knowledgeable and confirmed it's indeed Monday to Friday. We ordered a Blue Moon, a frozen margarita with Tajín, and the appetizer platter--which included boneless wings with Boom Boom sauce, cheese bites, fries, and onion rings. The wings and onion rings were excellent, and the cheese bites were good while warm. The fries, however, seemed like they may have been refried. We also tried the Mirchi Madness Paneer, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a great experience. I'd definitely recommend this spot--even just to hang out.
