I continue to come to Acai Frenzy for the Valentine Bowl. I really enjoy it. They have several choices of fruit....and they have Nutella. That makes any bowl amazing! There are monthly coupons to look out for in the monthly locals magazine. My only issue is they close early. I drive to the store before closing (about an hour before) and they are already closed. I truly love this place. The owners are amazing. So nice sweet gentle. Their husbands too. They love to laugh. Now about the Açaí bowls. These are complete meals and a longtime secret of vegans. This place is going to be a NO for me! Never have I ever purchased from a restaurant then threw it away without even tasting it, but I did here. When I walked in I should have just left immediately. It was messy: supply items were scattered all over the food-prep side of the counter. There were boxes /misc items stored in the dining area, hand written signs taped everywhere, bare displays...Nothing about this place once I stepped inside seemed appealing. Still, against my better judgment (but trusting the judgment of other good reviews) I ordered a green berries smoothie. The young man making my drink grossed me out, to be frank. He had a creepy and unwelcoming vibe to begin with. He said HI when I walked in, but didn't even tell me my total (simply held his hand out for payment, which was $8.55 for the smoothie) and didn't say much else. I did not see him sanitize his hands or donn gloves (he was using a spoon to handle the items, but still it's the kitchen and he had just handled a transaction). At one point he grabbed the blender stirrer out of a sink and put it in the smoothie. Maybe the sink was completely clean and specifically for utensils, but can't help but to think this is also the hand-washing sink so perhaps not... So as I left the store with my smoothie which look SO good I could not bring myself to taste it and tossed it in the trash. Ugh, not coming back here! read more

I really wanted Acai Frenzy in Harrisburg but it was out of my way today and figured I would try a new spot. When I walked in the employee was sitting on the floor and popped up when the door chimed. There was a mess all over the prep counter and she didn't offer us any help with the menu. I asked some questions and placed my order. I ordered a small acai bowl with granola, Nutella and all the fruit. The granola is stale, the fruit is not fresh/ripe and the Nutella is a big dollop on one part of my bowl. I was so disappointed. Put it in the freezer in hopes that someone else will like it but it's a NO for me and I won't be back. read more

They're located in a strip mall beside Food Lion and seems to be pretty new. I ended up with a rainbow acai bowl with bananas, pineapple, blueberries, kiwi, strawberries, lite granola, almond butter and Nutella all in a 24oz bowl and they made that big ole bowl so quick I barely had a chance to sit down before she was bringing it to me.........exceptional! read more

Sanitation should come back and check the rating. Employee didn't know what ingredients were in the store so had to check if he could make my order (spoiler he didn't). Then in the middle of making my toast stopped and took another persons order and handled their payment and he never changed gloves, washed his hands, or anything. I was worried when we walked in and the place looked neglected, floors aren't clean, soda coolers empty, menu displays broken, etc and clearly I should have listened to my gut. I ordered the avocado toast and it had no sprouts, radishes, cilantro, or feta cheese. Can't believe I paid that much for a dirty sandwich that was missing 3/4 of the listed ingredients. it's not good at all went today about 7 pm they were about to close despite the fact that online they said they close at 9 pm. ordered an açaí bowl and smoothie the total came out to be about $22 which we all know you can get way cheaper and better else where. they were impatient low key ordered for me as they were trying to leave. I got the order and left they don't have lids for the bowl so that was inconvenient to drive with for sure. all the almond butter got to waste in the aluminum foil I paid extra for it too. the smoothie is watery and icy you can tell that it was mostly made with ice. the bowl was a disaster the açaí tasted frozen you cant bite into it. little to almost none garanola plus it tasted so old and stale. the strawberry and blueberry portion was not enough for a child despite me paying extra for it. it tasted old and bad, you can taste how watery and disgusting they are, they are not safe to eat. there were almost none coconut flakes. not enough nuttela. it tasted weird frozen old not safe to eat all of the above. I think for $22 you can get way better food and service else where. yea the reviews did not match the place at all. it's not good find other options or you will regret it. read more
