I just left Açaí Republic in Eagle Glen. I ordered a medium San Paolo and paid for EXTRA granola and add blueberries. It wasn't until I got home that I discovered that there were no blueberries or extra granola. Usually, these are added on the side in small containers. This isn't a difficult job by any stretch of the imagination. All you need to do is pay attention, listen to the customer and, after repeating the order, follow the slip you print and make sure you put the order together. In this instance, we were the ONLY two people present. There was no long line of customers or orders. No excuses. Get it done right or try another line of work that doesn't require any thought. Finally, if your systems ask for tips, you better ensure they get everything done correctly. read more

I have been coming here for at least a year to get a bowl or smoothie and a chicken coxihna (spelling?) The last two times the coxihnas have been very dry and nearly choking us. Even with the Frank's Red Hot sauce you still can't douse it enough to get it wet enough to swallow without burning your tastebuds or living with dry tasteless coxihna. I was there recently and asked if there was something different in how they were being made. The counter person said they were being cooked with an air fryer for health reasons instead of how they were before and that other customers had also said they didn't like the new way of cooking either. Please go back to the old way. The new way is like cardboard. I won't be buying them again unless they are back to the original cooking method. It's just not worth it ***Update*** I needed to update my previous review. I had lowered my stars based on a change in cooking method of a menu item. They've since returned to the original method based on requests by their customers (great customer service!!!) and we'll be be returning often for all the great items they offer. Try the Sao Paolo bowl. It's amazing! The new interior design is so comfortable and feels like you're at home with couch type seating and a stand up table as well. I LOVEEEEEEE the food here! Ive tried so many acai bowls and i think what makes theirs the best is they put guarana (brazilian soda) into their acai. It gives it a little tanginess and it really brightens up the flavor! Unlike other places that put milk in the acai bowls, this one focuses on the quality and good fruit. Their granola is bomb too. I really wanted to love this place and part of me does. The main thing that I am upset about is that I paid a lot of money for an açai bowl to not have it filled up to the top. As you can see in my photo, there was still almost 1" of room that should have been filled. This was my second time there and same thin. When you pay that much for a bowl, I would expect it to be filled at a minimum to the top, if not over-the-top like the photos on their website. I said I didn't need a lid so that wasn't an issue. Even if I was taking it to go there is still plenty a room to put more in. It did taste yummy although the granola is a little too sweet for me. 2nd visit here. We were on the road and I really wanted a big bowl of warm , plain oatmeal. The nice young lady working was so sweet and gave me Acai to sample when I told her I was unfamiliar with it and didn't want it. She was willing to do plain oatmeal but said had to charge full price with Acai price, which made me want to get some Acai to make it worth the price. She was awesome and she let me sample the Acai, I thought it was pretty tasty but extremely sweet and asked if she can add just a little bit. Due to health reasons I must really limit added sugars and what kept me away from Acai this whole time was that I know lots of places do add sugar to their Acai. I'm not sure if Acai republic's Acai blend has added sugar or not, or how much if so, i didn't ask cause I was expecting a little amount as a treat with some honey. I received my oatmeal bowl, oh so pretty, but it was just so much Acai that I wasn't sure why it was called an oatmeal bowl. I sent my husband to purchase an additional bowl of just plain oatmeal so I can spoon my Acai into it as a sweetener but he was told plain oatmeal isn't sold, must have Acai in it. Overall, its an Acai place so my mistake coming in wanting just oatmeal. I wish they gave the option of plain oatmeal or even just a preference in how much Acai in the oatmeal.
