I believe this is definitely a scam. I have done several surveys with no response, just get cut off in the middle saying I don't qualify. I finally did get one to complete for $5, they said would be sent to my Paypal account. I never saw it in my account. Recently I have been sent a questionnaire that when I click on the link I get redirected to the Privacy page then Google. I emailed Allison, the sender, at the email provided in the offer and have gotten no response. I tried looking up Accelerant and found a support email address, but they replied back they are only support for the people purchasing their server and survey software. read more

I think this site is a scam. I've done many focus group research studies before and it looks like they just collect information and then ask for referrals. Their studies "claim" to offer $200-$300 but the majority of the ones I receive are literally $2.00, $3.00 and they just keep asking for referrals. Despite referring about 10 people, I've never received a single one of the $25 promised incentives. Then again, it's probably because my friends don't get to do the research either because it's a scam. Try others. Many better, more efficient ones out there. read more

Definitely NOT a scam. Read a lot of reviews before I agreed to my first "focus group" type thing with them concerning chronic pain, paying $150. 1. They communicated with me professionally and pleasantly. I was not asked for any information that was not pertinent to the study. 2. They were very prompt in communication both after I qualified and if I had additional questions for them. 3. All happened as expected, and when their customer added on an extra "task" (providing some info on paper and emailing it) that was not expected, after I had already agreed to do the survey, they gave me an extra $25 gift card because of it. (I didn't ask, they just did!) 4. The online interview/discussion was courteous and pleasant, it was myself and one other participant, and a moderator, and they alerted us that someone from Accelerant was also on the line as well as two people from the organization doing the market research. They alerted us that the discussion was being recorded. 5. I got my online gift card information two days later, the $150 one and the extra $25 one. I've activated both and already used the $25 and it worked fine. Activation was fast and easy. It was a fun market research survey and I would definitely do surveys for Accelerant again. For those reviewing Accelerant as a scam because they are never selected, or consistently told they don't qualify, or all the surveys are only $2 or $3 -- all of that is business as usual with surveys-for-pay. The ones that pay in the hundreds are definitely less frequent. When you consider how many people in the world are now trying to make money doing surveys, it is not a surprise that people don't get selected frequently. When I used to do surveys more regularly, I would fill out the "screening" survey for many many more surveys (for $2 to $3) than I was selected for. For those saying they didn't get paid by these folks, all I can say is I was paid promptly and as described (and more than I expected, for a very easy "extra" request"). There are SO many scam sites out in the internet these days that I check a lot of sites now and really appreciate the reviews that point out the real scams. I think they're scam artists. You get surveys emailed to you , unsolicited, offering $2 to $5 . I've completed 4-5 , with proof .. on the last one I never got paid , on 2 others I had to Email them to get the measly couple of bucks. Their tone is always like 'what the heck are you doing, it's just a few dollars ' when you email about these things, even though you haven't asked for them. They send them to you unannounced. Typical consumer research company. You take fairly involved screener surveys, for which you are likely "not qualified". (I see other reviewers are frustrated by this - I don't care that much, and I'm one of those weirdos who loves taking surveys!) Then for the ones that I was qualified for, the projects were simple and paid $150-$200 each. I feel this is a pretty good trade-off! Costs me nothing but 15 minutes here and there for a screener survey when they send them, so I don't see much of a downside to participating. read more

All the other reviewers where it says that filled out multiple surveys for like 20 minuets giving information just to be told not qualify for the survey. Is very true this has happened to me multiple times but I have had some surveys I done work out the most I have ever made is like $2.50 I can only hope and wish to be able to ever qualify for a $500 one or $200 one. I've participated in several of this company's surveys (some presented as BlogNog surveys). Given the candid nature of some of the survey topics (e.g., personal health issues) and the constant solicitation of financial and exact birth date data, it's important that survey participants have confidence in the quality and competency of this company's products. Unfortunately, after completing many survey undertakings - and a long phone call with the company president - I have lost all confidence in Accelerant Research. First, there are frequent misspellings in the survey texts. For example, "perterage" for percentage; "cholosteral" for cholesterol. This is off-putting coming from an enterprise that obviously deals in percentages and surveys for manufacturers of health-care products. Second, multiple choice questions are often poorly structured, This is particularly off-putting when asked to identify which of several serious medical conditions I might have! How can they leave off "None of the above" or "Other" choices? They do. This reflects either incompetence or an attempt to manipulate the survey results. I telephoned Accelerant Research President Paul Rubenstein to ask if he is aware of these problems. He said many of the surveys are produced by third party companies. I asked if he monitors their content. "No." I asked if he is concerned that sloppy survey texts and methodologies could undermine participant confidence in his surveys. "No." Instead, he bragged about his 30 years' experience doing market surveys and said I'm the first participant who has ever commented on these issues. Do not participate in Accelerant Research market surveys. The company does not adhere to high communication and methodology standards and apparently has no intention of doing so. They're bound to leave you frustrated. read more

Once I was contacted the representative from the company was very professional & helpful making arrangements for my interview. I do fill out the questionnaires assuming that my information will not be sold to telemarketing companies. I am concerned though because I am receiving emails for filling out "screening surveys for interviews" from another company called "SurveyGizmo.com". I am wondering if they are a fraud or a phishing attempted emails. If they are valid and legitimate, it would have been great to be warned in advance so that we could be prepared for emails sent by this new company. I will treat these emails as SPAM until I am notified that they are legitimate. read more
