We are lucky to have met Martin. He is born to coach - he wants the best for his students; and he knows what they fear, and coaches their mindset as well as techniques. My son has come out of his shell as he connects to coach Martin. Plus, I also love how he just casually gives me or my son tips (and light:) thank you sir!) when we play next to his court! Incredible! Coach Martin is simply amazing! My son learns a lot from him, not only basketball, but also other life skills.

Would like to put a recent review for Coach Martin's drop in practices. He is amazing. My son's regular basketball practices (school) usually involve the boys throwing to the other boys they know or not passing the ball at all, just trying to make a basket. And practices have the tendency to be half running, half resting/goofing around. Not here. The boys drill/run/learn how to play with strangers as a team. This is a great option if you don't want/don't have the time to commit to a full league but want your child to learn strategy and skills. Cannot say enough great things about him. read more

Martin is a natural and thoroughly enjoying teaching basketball to kids. Many coaches teach basketball but the level of connection Martin builds with each child in the class makes it truely special. Coach Martin is great! He has helped both our sons (9 and 12 years old) improve their skills significantly in a very short period of time. Both like working with him and both have been able to apply his lessons immediately in real game situations. Highly recommended!!! read more

Worst place to go for basketball. The coach has no responsibility over the kids and does not even help the development of my child. He does NOT encourage anybody, but instead VERBALLY ABUSES them. He doesn't even have any COVID-19 precautions. He doesn't even WEAR HIS MASK half of the time, and doesn't even ENFORCE it. The children share basketballs and they don't even receive any hand sanitizer. Also, he does not enforce safety at all. My child was hit in the chin by the tallest kid on the court and Coach Martin started MOCKING him for NOT STANDING UP TO IT. Horrible experience, would not recommend anyone to join. read more

Coach Martin is top notch. His practices are a perfect mix of skills and free flow scrimmages. Kids immediately apply what they've learned in full speed, with Martin keeping a watchful eye and calling "FREEZE" to drive home an appropriate learning moment. Occasionally he'll step in to run point and direct the kids in their positioning, effectively accelerating their understanding of the game. I've seen some impressive offense being generated during these pick-up games and honestly look forward to watching them on the weekend. Martin not only excels in making these practices fun for the kids, but for the parents as well! read more

Coach Martin is awesome. He knows the game and more importantly, he knows how to connect with kids. He's extremely patient and teaches kids the correct technique. Extremely happy with this program and coach. HIGHLY recommended. We've watched our son improve while loving the game. read more

Our kids have participated in 4 different basketball programs, and love coach Martin the best. He teaches techniques and fundamentals in crisp, clear, and very fun ways. He strikes the balance of being easygoing and fun, yet still keeping control of the class, so that it does not devolve into chaos as many other programs do. The kids who never played basketball before now love basketball because of him, and some have said they only want to do basketball with Martin! My own kids trust him and listen to his coaching intently. Martin grew up in PA too, and played at Paly winning the championship with Jeremy Lin as his teammate. Maybe one day Martin will bring Jeremy to play?! ;) Update: We also want to add that we very much appreciate and value that Martin, as a business person, is very honest and fair and has a lot of integrity. He has often put the desires of the parents/families over his own business goals -- which is not easy to do, is great role modeling for the kids, and illustrates that he is genuinely in this primarily for the kids and the game of bball. Martin continues to be a phenomenal coach, and this along with his integrity has kept a bunch of families coming back to Martin season after season. read more

Martin is a remarkably talented teacher and coach. He strikes a perfect balance between consistent, positive encouragement and challenging kids to do their best. He works well with kids of all abilities and skill levels, and is able to keep groups of young children engaged and focused without raising his voice.
