I'm talking about the caliber of people who run this place. So, hear me out: We reached out to Accent Paint initially because of their good reviews. So, Zach comes over to see the paint job we needed on the upstairs. When he found out that our daughter passed away two months earlier, he got quiet - and later left promising to get us a quote. Well, we hear back a week later that their entire team wants to paint the upstairs as a gift from their company to our family. I almost couldn't speak on the phone. In the entire process that soon unfolded, they were professional and SO kind and attentive - helping us pick colors, checking in at a good time to do this. They took their time and did such a quality job - and Jessica came in and painted "Emma" on the wall taking a picture, before they covered it. I still get emotional thinking back on the experience year ago. They don't realize what this did for our family. This experience TRANSFORMED our home - and reminded us how much good is in the world. We moved into our new home thinking we wanted to paint a room our two. Then we realized we should probably just paint the whole interior! We have a toddler--we don't have the energy for that! I wish it had been a different experience. Pat was cordial the entire time during the walkthrough of my home and seem professional. At this point I'm thinking he's professional, has a 6 man crew and could paint my home in two days. Happily to say; I wouldn't recommend Pat and his crew for the following reasons; -They forgot multiple spots and had to come back twice after I complained. - One of his painters decided it would be a good idea to clean his paint brushes on my green lawn! Now my patch of grass is dead. Pat said he would buy sod to fix it. When he arrived he decided that "one step" grass repair would revive my lawn. He stuck a bunch stakes in my ground and left without saying a word. I no longer trust Accent Painting. I would say Pat is sketchy at best - for the price I paid - it should've been a better experience. read more

Paint job was really nice, all the painters were professional and good at their job. Things feel apart however when it came to communication with the supervisor. We never knew what time the painters were showing up or what the plan was for the entire job. We ended up having to ask them to stop painting so we could get out of the garage. If we had know when they were going to show up we would have left earlier. When we asked for touch ups (responsibility of the supervisor) the response was so delayed we ended up doing it ourselves. read more

Not a good start when you can't even get the company to return your initial call!

I recently moved here from Illinois and only had reviews to guide me in finding a painter. Accent Painting had very good Google reviews, and I contacted Pat, as well as made some calls to some other companies. Pat is the only one who would even return a call. He was very patient with me and worked up a few different quotes as I wanted to match my budget with the work. Timing was also important because we needed to have it completed prior to moving in because the home had been smoked in. Pat's crew was able to start soon. He went over in detail what he would do to remediate the issues with the cigarette smoke. They used an oil based primer which helped a ton. They went above and beyond and worked hard to get done early when my carpet installers had a last minute cancellation, but the paint had to be done first. Quality was excellent and Pat personally did a walk thru with us to make sure we were satisfied. Our paint was on sale and he even passed the savings on to us even though we would have never known. He also painted some extra items not in the original quote at no additional charge. Would highly recommend. read more

Pat has painted three houses for me now. All were built prior to 1925 and thus had lead paint. Pat and his crew were solid professionals and were very patient with us on choosing colors and in painting our craftsman cottage in all the meticulous detail it deserves. We now have a beautiful primary home and two rental properties that our tenants can be proud to live in. My mom is very particular about color and Pat was very patient with all of her changes, even the last minute ones. Pat advertises his company as "Denver's Best Painters." Well, I obviously haven't tried every painting company in the metro area; but, if Accent Painting is not the best, it must be close to the very best. Pat and crew not only always kept all appointments in a timely fashion but finished painting the exterior of my house in three days, working morning until evening. Part of the first day was spent on my rather extensive siding repair and Gabriel, a crew member, performed miracles with that work. Each day brought a complete and thorough cleanup and the extremely minor touch ups necessary were done immediately and without any questions. Pat maintained contact with me throughout the whole process and made himself available on the evening of the final day to thoroughly review the completed work. Unfortunately, I had to deal with many less than reputable companies in my attempt to receive quotes for the job. Finding/hiring/using Accent Painting made the long and arduous journey worthwhile. I would most definitely recommend Pat and Accent Painting to anyone wishing not only a hassle free experience but one timely completed and quality job. Pat seemed great at first and the application of paint on the main surfaces is thick and looks great, however short cuts are evident during prep and trim painting. Main disappointment is that the inside vertical trim edge were drain downspouts are present is spray painted the same color as the house. These areas should have been hand painted using a small brush, however this would have slowed the project down. In addition, areas that move (such as the garage door) were not painted the entire width. Every time the garage door opens and closes, you can see the old paint on the edges and it looks awful. Both the trim and the garage door were brought up to Pat during the walk through. He fixed one of the 5 trim areas and only one of the garage doors. He wanted his money and to leave as soon as possible even though he knew we were not happy. I would try someone else if you need your house painted or be very specific with your requests. read more

We read many reviews and got 4 bids before choosing Accent Painting to paint the exterior of our two story home. They weren't the highest or the lowest bid. It was the impression that Pat made on us that made our choice clear. After we obtained HOA approval, Pat quickly got us onto their schedule. Milton came out a few days ahead to power wash the house. They arrived promptly on the day they agreed to start painting. Pat was there to get things started by confirming paint colors and by recommending that we go a touch less bright on the trim. Prior to him bringing it up I had my reservations about it, so it was welcomed advice. He showed me some options and in short order I was much happier with the new trim color choice. The original trim color had already been mixed, but he took it back to have it adjusted to the new color. The house was taped and prepped fast but carefully. While Pat was handling the paint colors, Milton did a terrific job of leading the rest of the crew. He let us know when a door needed to be opened or closed, if something needed to be moved for access or protection, and answered our questions about which entrance we should use at any given stage of the job. We felt comfortable going to Milton with questions when Pat wasn't there. Milton, Minor and Joe were organized, considerate and respectful painters. They worked quickly, carefully and as quietly as possible. One of the colors mixed came out different than expected, so Pat conferred with us and then made sure the new mix matched our original sample. By the end of the first day about 90% of the house was finished! Pat touched base with us a fourth time (at least) before the end of the day to confirm their progress. They did a good job keeping the area clean and things were set out of the way for the night. It started raining shortly after they arrived on day two, so they had to stop painting, but they were back as soon as the rain stopped and things were dry enough to continue. Even with half a day of rain, they were finished around 2pm! Pat walked around the house with me to make sure that I was happy and to point out a few things that he wanted the crew to fix. He let us know that they would come back and fix anything that we might notice later and showed me how he'd labeled the leftover paint for us. A reasonable price for a fantastic job from a professional, friendly and detail-oriented crew that took 1.5 days instead of 3 days. Money and time well spent on a beautifully painted house.
