When I requested quotes, I received about 6 and they were all for the most part, competitive and responsive. The quotes were around $125 to $175 to install the Craftsman .75hp belt driven Garage Door Opener system. One proposal was $200 to $400, which I did not consider. I want to them all for responding so quickly. I chose this company because they were one of the lowest and responded the first day and when I called them, they answered my questions. The actual cost was about $150. I sent them pics of the garage and door and they called back and told me specifically what else would be needed for installation and I agreed. Chris showed up on time, took the time to do the installation right and made the modifications to strengthen the metal door. He also had to align the rails and make other adjustments, which he showed me were installed incorrectly, which he fixed. Based on his knowledge and watching him do the work, I would have regretted doing this myself. Yep, I'm a local! I called Access to help me when 1of2 of our garage remotes was stolen from my car. They quoted me a replacement but also investigated my ability to reprogram my unit. They sent me a link to do just that. Most business would take the sale rather than offer the service. We loved them when they helped us last year and we love them even more today. Our issues continue with Access Garage Doors, and judging from the Neighbors around me with similar problem, it appears we are not the only ones!! Access has been to our home 8 x in the last few months to repair &/or replace the door panels for excessive gapping, panels that do not fit properly into place, and opening/closing that has jammed on many occasions. During our last visit on December 18th, the 2 man install team left us with door panels that still pour light through and don't properly close assuring us that Ben, in Install would be reaching out with next steps!! I finally called Ben on January 2nd when weeks went by and just as he had done multiple times before he talked over me, told me the Manufacturer hadn't gotten back to him with next steps, and rushed me off the phone promising to call me as soon as he heard anything. I deal with a lot of Vendors and it isn't too often that I come across customer service that completely negates the customer in the way that he does. I have not met many people on the phone as rude as him, and I deal with Vendors constantly in my professional realm so that truly says a lot. Today is January 14, 2025 and I called in again because I have still yet to receive as much as a courtesy call back from Ben. Just a simple update would have been nice, but now I'm being sent straight to voicemail because he doesn't want to deal with me apparently. Our gapping remains, rodents have now accessed the garage despite our best efforts to seal the gaps the best we could while waiting for the repairs from Access. It's been just about a month since they were to "return in a few days" and we continue to think this is Manufacturer delay? They don't provide further information that that. If you're looking for a Company for a repair or replacement, go elsewhere. Simply go elsewhere because Access just is beyond unprofessional, and extremely unkind to deal with when problems do arise read more

They put the garage door in in the first place. Then when it stopped working a few years later they came out and said someone spliced the wires because they were too short and they didnt put the screw caps on the wires. So they put screw caps on and charged us $175 for screw caps. Then 2 days later it stopped working again they came out and replaced the same wire with a longer wire and charged us.again $175 for coming. If its the same problem why am.I being charged a second time for you half fixing it. They should.have replaced the short wire in the first place. Actually they should have done it right from the beginning. We will be using a different company in the future. They have recieved my last $175 to repair something they did wrong in the beginning. read more

I tried to save money and troubleshoot our malfunctioning garage door myself. It was going up only part way and going right back down. After looking at videos, I thought it needed a simple adjustment to the chain which had too much slack in it. I tightened it and thought I'd fixed it and saved having to call a service person. But after a few days, it went back to failing to open again. Finally, and during a cold time in December, I called Access for a service call. The tech came promptly when he was scheduled, examined the operation of the garage door opener and sadly determined that a control in the unit was malfunctioning and would have to be replaced. He was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the opener and explained everything to me thoroughly. He also was very friendly. The cost was significantly higher than when we built the house 18 years ago, but we are very satisfied with the quality work that he did. He even offered to inspect, lube and adjust our second garage door opener at no additional charge. First time we used this company it was great. The second time was a disaster. Had an appointment for a week and a service time between noon and 6 p.m. No problem with that other than it seemed a long window of time but no complaint. Received a call from the technician about 4:30 p.m. that he was on the way. Just fine. Then, minutes later, a call from the office tthat the technician was stuck in traffic. So could we reschedule? THIS WAS AFTER WE WAITED ALL DAY and we had the appointment for over a week. The office referred us to the owner who could not have been less customer oriented if he tried. Instead of sending someone else or making sure we had service, he was more concerned that his company trucks were back by 6 .m. He did not care that we had been waiting a week nor all day. He was very defensive and rude. Apparently, he is not concerned about losing customers or maybe he skipped that particular training due to arrogance. read more

Last night, I noticed the bracket that attaches one of my garage door openers to the door was tearing away. Due to excellent reviews on Yelp, I decided to call Access Garage Doors to see if they could help me. Being a Friday morning I didn't think the chances were good that they would come out until next week. Surprisingly, their technician Ben arrived at my house at 1:20. Ben is a very nice, polite and impressive young man who finished my job within an hour. He also noticed my other door had a similar condition, so he installed a new bracket on that door as well. Same day service you just can't beat! I had been putting off getting my creaky garage door worked on. It just isn't something you enjoy spending money on. But I couldn't take it any longer and called Access. The service manager was super helpful, efficient and polite. She said a technician would call me when he was on his way... TODAY. What?!? When does that ever happen? Sure enough about 1 1/2 hours later David called (I was in shock). He was on his way. About 20 minutes later he arrived. Evaluated my door, tuned it up, even put an extra screw in it so it wouldn't do what it did again. He was also polite, professional and efficient. Door is good as new! Still in shock that 1.
