Poor customer service and very unprofessional. My wife setup and an appointment online. When she arrived for the appointment she was berated and told that the online appointment system was supposed to be shut down (as if my wife was supposed to know) and the told to leave immediately. Good day, I just had to let people know appointments here doesn't matter they don't go by the appointment time, first come first served. I've seen a lot of people just walking in without appointments but that's a chance you take of not seeing the doctor. The wait is always long so if you're looking for a quick visit don't go here over a hour wait. Then the doctors assistant came out to give me a Covid test 1 hour after my appointment time now I have to wait until the test results are ready. read more

Nurse practitioner Leah provided excellent diagnosis and treatment of my fractured toe. The wait to see her was less than 5 minutes after I finished the paperwork. Covid protocols followed 100%. Came to Access Medical with a very inflamed hand from a bee sting. Did not wait long to be reviewed by the Dr. Immediately was diagnosed & recv'd shots for the inflammation. As well recv'd directions for short term & long term solutions dependent upon how their treatment reacted overnight. They asked me to come back the next day so they could review the status & it had improved. Very pleased with their attention to detail, concern for me & prescribed follow-up. The front desk person is awful, rude, and condescending. We called for 3 days, all voicemails are full, my husband waited 3 days to get tested and tested positive. I showed up with my daughter after not getting through on the phones, office was empty, front desk person RUDE. I work for a big practice that I routinely send patients to for clearance, will not be sending anyone there and my family will not be coming back. I asked her why noone was answering and voicemails are full, "we are busy" she said. and kept shaking her head at me. Told me no appointments available for days, only 1 person in the waiting room and shes sitting there not even answering the phone. I know its a crazy time, Im a very patient person, BUT the office staff is nasty and shes not the only one. read more

This was my third time dealing with them, I wont be going back. First of all, they refuse and will not give you pricing on anything, they take your credit card and put a $300 hold on it, and eventually you'll be charged whatever insurance dont cover and they come up with. I do not like ever going in and not having any clue how much im paying or what im paying for. Front desk was zero help and basically gave me the impression "thats how it is, take it or leave it". They will not call to see what your copay is, they will not tell you how much a visit is, they refuse to speak of any dollar amount period. This drove me insane.... My recent visit was this morning, I came in with a bloodwork slip from my dermatologist. All i needed was bloodwork, quick simple easy, this location is very close to my work, so its very convenient to go to while fasting etc. And of course..... they wont accept that doctors/Rx note, I was told that I would need to pay a copay to see the doctor (who isn't a dermatologist and does not know my history/medications/conditions etc) and have the doctor basically evaluate me for my condition. Thanks to this, i now have to go to another place that will simply take my damn bloodwork without trying to get another doctor involved who isn't even a specialist in the field of WHY i'm getting my bloodwork done in the first place. Place sucks.... long long waits when there are literally 2 people in the waiting room expect to wait 45 minutes. All three times I have come, it was a hassle, I wont do it again unless its an extreme emergency. read more

My wife and I have had several excellent experiences here. They have great hours and are always very good about scheduling appointments on very short notice. The doctors, nurses and entire staff are always very professional and courteous. They're excellent for most illnesses you'd see a general practitioner or family factor for. Avoid this place if you can. Unprofessional and completely incompetent. Went for a prework drug test and physical and they dropped the ball. Drug test was fine. They took my license and then misplaced it somewhere between reception and the back. They didn't seem to concerned with finding it either. Ten minutes later and it was under another clipboard that wasn't even relevant to me being there. Got a call same night at 830pm that they forgot to do the physical, I specifically asked if there was anything else and I was good to go before I left. This place is an hour and a half from where I live and an hour from where I currently work. Called on a Saturday to see if I could get in before driving all that way and they said no. Tried to schedule for a week day after work and they said they don't do appointments after 6. Finally got an appointment for 615 at night they day of an incoming snow storm. I asked what the procedure was if they were closed and they said reschedule. Not good enough, made them give me an appointment for another day at 615. Receptionist lady accused me of yelling at her, which I didn't, but at this point I'm very heated and told her I could start yelling if she wished. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! UPDATE: got a call Sunday about them being able to get me in that day. Was told the information I was given the previously was incorrect. Was able to get everything done in the beginning of a snow storm. Squeaky wheel gets the grease! read more

Avoid this practice like the plague on modern medicine is most certainly is. "Doctor" Goldberg was incredibly rude, condescending, and quick to tell me, "I can't help you" with both actions and words. The paperwork I had faxed over had errors and was out of date. Tried to explain I would return with remedied paperwork, but was informed, "I don't care if you come back with another note" verbatim. Don't worry, I won't be returning. Ever. If I can deter even a single person from going to this building, I will count that as a personal victory for doctors worldwide. Please, I beg the reader of this review, look up other reviews of this fraud, they tell similar stories. Google search Doctor Lon Goldberg to read more on his failures. Also, many of his positive reviews are clearly fake. They use similar terms and phrases that are trademarks of bought reviews. Took fifty of my hard-earned dollars as copay to tell me in under five minutes that he won't treat me. Isn't qualified to dig ditches, much less treat living, breathing, thinking, feeling humans. Update. The reply shows what kind of business owner he is. I was very polite in my consultation, despite what he claims. The claim that I "argued" is frankly insulting as well. I couldn't finish a single sentence before being cut off mid-speech. Neither did I walk out angrily as he says, I thanked him for his time and shook his hand. I give common courtesy in my everyday actions, even when not receiving it. Again, the fact he proceeds to insult and lie about a customer reflects more on him than me. Doesn't matter. My first experience was awful but I decided to give them another try bc its conveniently located just a few mjles from work but that's literally all it is: a convenient location. I waited almost 40 minutes before I was seen. When I saw the doctor, he seemed uncertain as to what condition I might have but suggested I try a prescription pain reliever. No thanks. Spent three times as much time in the waiting room than I did with an actual physician. I left feeling gypped out of both my time and money. Been here several times. They are pretty efficient. I come here for urgent issues which I consider non emergency hospital type but for times I couldn't wait to see a regular doctor. Their hours are great. Staff is friendly. They did an on the spot lab test once which I know most doctors wouldn't be able to do. Clean facility. Crowds and wait times vary. I've encountered moments with no wait and days with a slight bit of a wait but nothing ever too too long. read more

Had to come here to take care of a sprain. 8:15 am and there were two people ahead of us already. Staff was competent and seemed genuinely concerned about patient needs. Only gets 3 stars because x ray tech was late and hence had to stay longer than expected. I visited Access Medical with significant lower back pain and was treated immediately. I was grimacing in pain. The Doctor that saw me took the time to ask a lot of questions and provided an accurate and comprehensive diagnosis. I felt like I was in very good hands. The Doctor, the staff who assisted me to get into the building the X-ray Tech and all the staff I interacted with were awesome and very accommodating. My wife went to the office with sick son who was running a fever and had a bad cough. We were told he was fine and sent on our way with only a cough syrup. He kept running fever for the next five days after which we decided to go back for a checkup. The older lady at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional when talking to patients including us. One lady stormed out as we were walking inside. Now I know why. Front desk secretary told us that she doesn't care that the child was running fever and he needs to take medication to keep his fever under control after original misdiagnosis. She further stated that he will not be able to see a doctor for a follow up for the next few hours and with his condition we had to stay there and couldn't even set up time to come back, we left to seek help for him elsewhere. Like I said, rude, unprofessional and no compassion. Should find another line of work if she is that miserable working with people. read more

Very nice place ! I went to Access Medical Associates yesterday for the first time. I had to go there to have my heart monitored while I took the first dose of Gilenya (my MS medication). This monitoring had to go on for six hours due to the requirements of Novartis - the pharmaceutical company. As you can imagine I was not looking forward to spending six hours in the doctors office to be able to take medication. However all of the people working there were fantastic. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctors - they were wonderful. I had my own private room to wait in that had a recliner and a color TV. The nurse Christina had to come in every hour to check my heart rate. She couldn't have been nicer. All in all everyone there was friendly and professional. Highly recommend! read more

I used this practice and fond Dr. Goldberg and staff kind, considerate and caring. I got to my appt on time and by the time I finished the paperwork was put into a room. I waited only a very short time for the nurse, who I found sweet, friendly and professional. Dr. Goldberg was also caring and professional. Everything was explained to me and all my questions were answered with informed advice. I rarely write reviews but in today's age of 10 minute appointments with doctors that are half out the door before they start talking to you, it's nice to feel I got the proper care and consideration. I want to highly recommend this clinic but kind of want to keep it my little secret so it doesn't get to busy to see me. read more

My family goes here about one to two times a year when we are unable to get to our own physician. Each time we go, we say we won't return. You don't need an appointment as they take walkins, however the wait time is long, both in the waiting room and in the exam room. The staff move VERY slowly. Although I have to say the clerical staff is very kind, and the nursing assistants are also friendly, the medical staff is less than acceptable. They have a high turnover rate with doctors. They come into the exam room, are there for just a few short minutes and leave. The exam rooms haven't been painted in years. The exam tables are a mess. If you need quick care, you may want to think about going somewhere else. Or lessen your expectations if you go here. read more

Dr Goldberg and his staff were wonderful to my child (and me, the upset mommy) when we were there for a time sensitive medical issue. He is incredibly knowledgable and has a wonderful bedside manner, especially with children. There are complaints here about wait time- that's the trade off, folks! He takes the time to be thorough and attentive. Means he might run behind for the next person. But people would be complaining if he rushed patients out of the office too. I'd rather know he was doing right by his patients and wait a few minutes than the alternative. Plus let's face it, if you called same day you might not even get in to see a regular primary care doctor. Here they make sure you are seen- and they are careful and kind. The absolute worst doctors experience I have ever had. Went in on Friday afternoon with a horrible cough I have had for a week. Was told after a culture was taken, that it was not strep throat and antibiotics would not do anything, but was prescribed benzoate and a nose spray. I told the Dr. that I had already been taking this medication for days that was left over from another sickness and was still having coughing fits in the middle of the night keeping me (and my wife) from sleeping. But he insisted this would be gone in 2 days by taking the same medicine that had not been helping and would not prescribe some sort of suspension cough syrup. The office called 2 days later with a courtesy wellness call in which I proceeded to tell the receptionist that the medicine did nothing and I have been also taking OTC cough syrup as well, she said she would ask the Dr. if there was anything they could do. She called back a half hr later saying the Dr said he would call in a prescription for antibiotics and I should take some OTC cough syrup. I stopped her right there and told her the Dr is a quack and I will take my business elsewhere. How will antibiotics all the sudden be able to help my viral infection? When 2 days ago they would not. doctor was quick to diagnose me with something i showed little to no symptoms of. the following day, went to my GP who said i was misdiagnosed and to cease taking the prescribed antibiotics as they would cause more harm than good. called and spoke to the "medical director" (lon goldberg aka the owner) and explained that i didn't want to be charged for their mistake. he was completely rude and unprofessional and doesn't know how to treat customers. he talked over me and dangled my refund in my face before inevitably hanging up on me. he tried telling me that my doctor was wrong and the diagnosis stands. it terrifies me that most people probably don't consider a second opinion and are probably taking this place at their word. after he hung up on me, i called back and tried to speak with someone who actual acted like an adult but the receptionist regrettably informed me that goldberg was the owner -- and she didn't seem surprised by his behavior. after doing further research (something i should've done prior), i found that his superior attitude is not uncommon. what an awful man to be in such a career that requires respect and compassion. this man knows nothing about these two things. i will say that his receptionists and nurses are lovely and i truly feel bad that they work for such a nasty excuse for a human being. I went to Access Medical for a workers comp related injury. I never had any issues in the past. The receptionists and nurses are always extremely friendly and efficient and the PA that I have been seeing, Kelly Dahler is wonderful! She always openly listens to my issues and concerns and answers any questions I may have. Unfortunately, when I went in for a follow up visit, she was out of the office and one of the doctors, Lon Goldberg, saw me for my visit. Dr. Goldberg was absolutely horrible and I will never see him ever again! Besides my work related injury, I am a healthy young woman. When I told him I was no longer taking the muscle relaxers that were prescribed to me because I felt as though I no longer needed them to deal with the pain, he proceeded to yell at me and said I am only prolonging my injury. This follow up visit was three weeks after the initial incident and he was yelling at me, stating that I should be taking muscle relaxers twice a day every day! I have been using ice and heat as instructed and going to physical therapy in hopes of a speedy recovery and I do not appreciate getting screamed at for not taking muscle relaxers weeks after the incident and after the initial pain was already gone. After he saw me and said I was done, he left the room without even asking me if I had any questions and then went outside the door of my examination room, but still in ear shot of me and other patients and started ranting about me to one of the nurses. He is extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend him to anyone! read more
