The office is in a brownstone it looks like an the waiting area was nice. The Receptionist had me fill out some forms then I was on my way with Dr. Grishina. She was very nice and asked me the general medical questions & history. Then she gave me an overall checkup. She drew blood, which I hate doing but she was gentle and I didn't feel a thing. After that she told me when I get my results back she will give me a call. Which she did not too long ago. It's hard to find a doctor these days you can feel comfortable with and who aren't pushy or rude. I really like her and I feel good knowing I have a place to go to if I have an issue.

I took him my MRI and he said he could help me without surgery. Explained his Prolotherapy is not a actually replacement of the knee but a masking that rebuilds. And depending how much I use the knee it could last up to 5 plus yrs. It has been nearly 15 yr since my first Prolo shots. And I am back for another dose.. Many ask why the shots verses the surgery. For me personally. I do not like to go under the knife at all. So better the needle then the knife. Not when I was younger and faster to heal nor older now and healing is not as fast. The Prolotherapy is a serum he shoots in your problem area. It literally goes into your body and brings in new cells and rebuild the areas. I personally can say this works on knees when your cartridge is torn, worn and meniscus is no longer there. I came in on crutches and in 2 relaxing days I was walking again. Not 100% but able to go back to work. Limping and with continuous healing. In 3 weeks I was back to bowling. And within a month my knee was about 75% healed. It continues to heal for nearly a yr or two. But you feel the effects immediately. Because is considered to be cosmetic to insurance companies. It is usually not covered. Also the office has plug in air fresheners in every outlet. Place reeks! Even with a mask the smell is overwhelming. Very bad for those with asthma or pulmonary conditions. The doctor is so overbooked the wait has become at least an hour in the waiting room then more time in the little room, trapped with the dreaded air freshener.

The drug reps also seem to like him, as he's got a sample of everything...great when you're trying different drugs trying to find a good combination to fix you. Downside (or maybe an upside, I guess) is that his billing people are forever slow. Four months after my first appointment, they had never billed me for what was left after insurance. I finally asked about it and they printed me a statement. I guess he doesn't really need the money. :-p. I just don't like having a pile of medical bills...who knows if they'll just forget to bill me one day and turn it over to collections since it's so old.

His office staff was incredibly friendly and they ran very very close to on time (I think he was maybe five or 10 minutes behind) and apologized profusely for being a couple minutes behind. He was kind, thorough, and very reassuring. He took his time and explained everything thoroughly. I felt he spent an incredibly appropriate amount of time with me and I didn't feel rushed at all. Another thing that I find unique about Dr. Davis is that he didn't push meds Down my throat right away, most doctors in his position would've opted to put me on medication immediately. He provided options that I could take before undergoing the epidural procedure which I appreciated. On the day of the minor surgical procedure Dr. Welsh ran me through the steps again, reassuring me how simple and fast the procedure would be. I felt calm and was confident that I'd be in good hands. FYI, the procedure takes place in a surgical center and not these offices. The office is small but comfortable and very clean. They have vast awards showcasing the office walls on their various Doctors which is comforting. I would definitely recommend coming here for your pain management.
