Whoever the new chef is at Access, keep him! We live in the area so we stop in on random occasions but we came in on a Thursday a few weeks ago and it was very chill and happened to be game night. I had a taste for lamb chops so I ordered some with the Brussels sprouts and Mac n cheese on the side. I've ordered this meal from here a couple times before but it has never tasted this good! The Brussels sprouts were amazing, the Mac n cheese wasn't watery and was tasty, and the lamb chops did not disappoint! My recommendation to the chef (he said it was his second day and looking for feedback, I appreciate that) when he came out to greet us was to add that delicious glaze from the Brussels to the lamb chops too. They didn't need the glaze but it definitely took it up a notch. Hubby enjoyed his spaghetti and catfish too. As far as the vibe, it's always a pretty good time. I've brought my birthday in here before as well and my group of 20 enjoyed ourselves, especially for my last minute planning. I hope that Access does more to bring the community out. We had a really good time at Access! The lounge is intimate and designed beautifully. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They have a well stocked bar with just about anything you can imagine. I ordered the shrimp platter and was impressed. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the tartar sauce was delicious. I also sampled a salmon egg roll that was really good as well. One of the guests in our party had a salmon dish that looked amazing and when the waitress asked how it was, he commented "fantastic ". This is the first place I've had a green tea shot. It contains Jameson whiskey and peach schnapps and is very tasty. I absolutely would recommend coming here for a fun night out. read more

I waited a while before posting this. The ambiance is amazing as a neighborhood bar it's great to go to for drinks, however, I recommend eating elsewhere. I went once and then again to host an event for my graduation. The owner is nice but had no automated systems for the party or anything including menus pricing drinks. I still wanted to give a black woman my business so i persisted. The day of my 70 person party wait over an hour for buffet style food such as pasta,wings and egg rolls. The servers told ppl to order from the menu if they wanted "good food" or to eat. Additionally another party was booked at the same time which we only found out upon arrival ( she never mentioned this in several meetings and texts) . I was most disturbed that the restaurant had been experiencing staffing issues and the owner( with whom I communicated) was not there to manage the experience. Came here for a lingerie party that a friend was hosting. It was free for ladies but $50 for guys. At first I thought the price for guys was excessive. However, it was for good reason. I would give 1/2 star if I could. was with a large party, Access was notified well in advance - they even accommodated us by rearranging the outside seating in advance of our arrival. Many of us, including myself, canceled our orders after waiting more than 90 minutes. Throughout the wait we never received updates from our waitress - it appears most of the waitresses were bottle girls who had little to no experience as waitresses. I ordered red snapper with fried rice and asparagus. After waiting more than 90 minutes, the waitress told me they were out of vegetables, they only sides available were fried rice and macaroni and cheese. (Keep in mind we arrived before the restaurant opened and were the only guests for some time.) As for the appetizers, most received their appetizers in a timely manner. As for my appetizer, I believe it was frozen food. No one was satisfied with their food. One individual in our party went to the African restaurant nearby. I ended up going to Stage in Nocross. I would have loved to give a glowing review of a Black owned establishment but no one should experience the lack of service and horrible food at any establishment. Me and my fiancé stepped in Saturday night and it was just our speed. We were greeted at door and seated immediately in a beautiful section. Visited this restaurant while on my trip it's in a great location and I love the fact that they have indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived was greeted by staff no wait time at all seated very quickly. They have a nice drink menu as well as food menu. I ordered the salmon egg rolls they were delicious also I had a cocktail which was great too. The lamb chops and catfish were really good. The waitress were very attentive and helpful. I was looking for a place to grab a good to-go Easter Dinner for my parents when they decided they didn't want to get out in the expected rain. I have been wanting to try Access for a while since I drive by it all the time. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food in comparison to the prices. $27 for the Chicken and Shrimp Rasta Pasta which while it isn't worth $27 was the best of the 2 dinners I ordered. I gave them 2 Stars because the bartender knew how to make a drink and was very pleasant. I deducted 3 stars for charging my $25 for bland tomato flavored spaghetti with no meat and a lone piece of fried catfish and charging me automatic 20% gratuity on a to go order and not mentioning beforehand. read more

After seeing this place on social media we decided to give it a try for Sunday brunch. For the prices and the mandatory 20% gratuity, it is not worth it. With the shrimp and grits you get only five shrimp for over $20. Didn't get the eggs that were supposed to come with it. With the chicken wings and waffles, expect to receive about four pieces of chicken wing parts (drums and flats) which were very small and seemed to be refried or old. Rasta pasta tasted freezer burned. Burger was good but slightly over cooked. The salmon egg rolls, however, were very good. Bottom line: Don't go for the food. If you're going to smoke hookah and drink, this will soak up the alcohol fine and you'll likely be uninhibited by the inflated prices. I suggest that venues make a choice on what they want to be, what kind of service they plan on providing and excel at that. A NEW GEM IN MABLETON. Can I just take a moment to brag on the service we received from the moment we stepped in the door. We were greeted immediately and catered to for the 6 hours we were there. We were having so much fun we lost track of time. The Dj rocked the house with nonstop upbeat tunes that had us bopping away. Being that we had already eaten we only munched on the jerk Hawaiian wings but everything on the menu looked delicious. It was more of a cocktail kind of night. Their cocktails are unique And I highly recommend trying a different one each order. A big hit and their most popular cocktail is called Rum Punch. Packed with tropical flavors and a mesmerizing turquoise color the rum punch will have you dancing the night away. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. The decor looks as though it is straight out of a magazine. Access is lavished in black and gold decor that screams classy. It is ONLY for the grown and sexy. They have self parking as well as valet and VIP parking. Access has it all great music, great food, amazing cocktails, and they even have hookah. We were sad when Sabores (the previous restaurant in this location) sold their business to move back to Puerto Rico. But, we did not let that stop us from trying out the new restaurant, Access. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. We highly recommend the brussel sprouts... We even got a chance to meet the owners who were very nice and lived nearby. this place was such a waste of time and money. I ordered Mac and cheese, sweet potato and asparagus. My partner had catfish spaghetti. 2 vodka shots a piece. My bill was $160! They added almost $20 tip in automatically. We saw the waitress maybe 3x. To bring our drinks. Other than that it was the guys from the back to bring our food! I eat here at this lounge at least 3/4 times a month all I ever eat is the chicken & shrimp Rasta pasta and the Brussel sprouts and some garlic toast, which is normally the bomb !!! I ordered last night about 10:15 and got the exact same thing this time I received a piece of bread which was cut into 3's so small it seem like a top bun only then the pasta was so dry and on top of that they sprinkled so much seasonings on there to where it was unbearable to eat so spicy no Rasta sauce on the noodles about 4 shrimp and dried up chicken.... I understand people want to leave and go home however don't accept a door dash order if you're going to send it out like that my meal was 37$ and then me tipping the dasher 50 bucks not to enjoy !!!! My sisters and I went to Access Restaurant and Lounge because we haven't been around each other or hung out due to busy schedules, so we decided to support a black business and oh what a mistake we made. We arrived at 630pm on a Saturday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. 1 waitress came to take our drink order only to never come back and check on us or give us our drinks. The hookah girl became our waitress and she was a super sweetheart and helpful. It took some time to bring our appetizers but when she bought the appetizers around 715pm we put in our food order. We didn't get the food until 945pm and that's only because we started to ask for the manager. The owner came with some excuse and didn't comp nothing for our inconvenience. They finally bought out our food and it was COLD. The owner came and became defensive with us because our food was cold. They didn't bring out all our food at the same time. Some patrons that came after us got their food before us. Never again will I support this black business and I advise anyone to attend with caution that this too WILL happen to you. They didn't care for the inconvenience they caused. We literally waited for 3 hours for cold food. Now I'm at Waffle House!!! read more

The wings were small but they were tasty. A friend and I went here and the waitress we had was nice but the service wasn't good. We constantly would have to waive her down to order anything and we sat right next to the owner. I ordered a Hennessy straight and she asked if I wanted ice I said no no ice. She brought me a Hennessy on the rocks and I immediately sent it back as I asked for no ice. The owner then brought me my correct drink. I ordered another Hennessy and of course the waitress forgot and never brought it so I reminded her. I then ordered 2 shots. 5 minutes after I ordered the 2 Hennessy shots it was "shot o'clock." The waitress never brought the 2 shots but she took a tray of shots to another table that were ordered when shot I clock was announced and I was sitting right in front of the bar. I watched the waitress deliver the shots to the table and proceed to take their order. I knew she wouldn't be back anytime soon so I asked the bartender (black guy who is the floor mgr) for 2 shots which took about 20 minutes as he was discussing it with our waitress. I finally got the shots and asked for the check which took another 20 minutes. We got the check which had 7 shots on it. Of course I am not paying for shots I did not have. The waitress comes to discuss the check in an attempt to convince me we ordered 7 shots and started to get an attitude I said baby get the mgr I'm not going back and forth with you. Floor mgr comes over advising the owner won't remove the drinks and stated she saw us get the shots. So I said the owner who has been up drinking and dancing remembers exactly what was brought to my table? I said whatever you need to do to correct my check i.e. watch the camera cause I WILL NOT pay for anything I didn't have. Security came to the table I explained the situation and he is going to watch the other tape which took another 30 minutes. Security comes back and stated he watched the tape twice and only saw 4 shots which is the exact amount of shots I had. The floor mgr did apologize but the owner had nothing to say.
