This place is located on jewelers row, the rest of which I have not explored. It is NOT a jeweler.. just a straight-up appraiser only. When you enter it's sort of like going into a very very very secure dentist's office. Each appraiser seems to have his/her own little station along a hallway after you get buzzed through by the receptionist or whatever. Dave Atlas appraised a loose sapphire for us here at AGA. He was awesome. Very thorough (spent about 45 minutes with us and our little stone). Explained everything he was doing. Gave us a full report (two copies, one for us, one for future insurance purpose). It's possible that I just have warm fuzzy feelings about the sapphire, but I really do think Dave did an awesome job. Ring appraisal was undervalued and had wrong diamond count, don't waste your time or money here.

I Hope this doesn't get filtered, but I had Chris appraise my diamond and Tacori setting for insurance purposes. He was thorough and he actually evaluated the diamond independently before comparing it to my AGS papers. He also knows that he's a stranger touching your valuables and he makes sure your extremely comfortable for the entire procedure. Great place to get appraisal. They made me an appointment on short notice in late December which in itself is awesome. Very polite and a pleasure to deal with. Took my loose diamond to get appraised and taking it back again it's once in the setting for now additional cost. Their appraisal really gave me a piece of mind to leave my diamond for a few minutes to have it set. Highly recommend AGA! read more

I had a diamond ring appraised here and had a great experience. The folks working here are upstanding and if high character - exactly what you want when someone is handling and evaluating your valuable jewelry. I got a great appraisal that was extremely helpful. Someone was on the phone during my appraisal, negotiating with Comcast, which a lot of us have done before. She was very apologetic, gave me a discount, and even called me on the phone to apologize again. Class act. I recommend this place! read more
