They've closed. Held my appointment, X-rays, hygienist ground away at my teeth. After the appointment I tried to schedule a follow up. Apparently, that same morning, they had held a meeting informing all employees that the office was closing. Since, I've tried calling for my records: AI answered and had me leave a message with phone number and what was needed. No response. Called again, same result. Went to the office they supposedly moved to in Salinas to physically request my records: closed. Called the number, was forwarded to Gilbert office. Called, left message, again NO RESPONSE. I also got more than one canceled dental appointments-- one that literally cancelled a day or two before I went in---, which future delayed my dental needs for the main reason I want to their office. They also do NOT give you a breakdown of costs if you ask--- I got a run around regarding the paperwork and had to physically go there in person to pick it up weeks later. I can't recall her name but someone was apologetic about it saying she had been by herself -- but at the end of the day, it shows the location is being flakey and the clerical stuff is not helpful. I went here about 1-2 years ago and I had to get a root canal and when they did the procedure I had an alarming pain for a month and kept calling every week to see what they can do and they kept giving me the excuse of it being the "temporary crown" and even when i got my permanent crown I was still in pain and they said they had to do a root canal on the next tooth over after they did that it stopped the pain. ONE YEAR LATER i go to a different dentist because a bump appeared above the root canal tooth and after seeing the specialist they said they did a VERY poor job and causing me to lose my tooth. I legit love this dental office. Yesenia at the front is amazing. The helped us get in when my daughter had a dental emergency. And then worked with me to transition all of my kids to this office. Blanca is the office manager and is incredibly thoughtful and conscientious. Adrian is great with the kids. Daniel is thorough and professional. I believe that the dentist we have worked with is Dr. Shakoor. He is literally an artist. When my daughter cracked her tooth he rebuilt it. Like a magician. He is incredibly kind and patient. The staff is friendly, but I'm not satisfied with the quality of my fillings. I had cavities filled on the biting edge of my two front teeth and now the front surfaces of my two front teeth are rough and dull (I told the dentist about this dissatisfaction at my next appointment and he said they must have adhesive on them or something. His fix was to take a diamond tipped drill to the natural surfaces of my front teeth and now they will never be the same). I also had a cavity on one of my canine teeth done and it doesn't feel the same on the inside of my mouth anymore; the tooth is now significantly smaller than the one on the other side of my mouth, and toe tooth is rough, too. I don't know if they're understaffed or overbooked, but I only got part of the care I was scheduled for and the dentist was bouncing between three patients (including myself) while I was there. His assistant kept complaining about not knowing what happened there yesterday, was talking poorly about coworkers at other locations and how the scheduling is handled, and the whole business just seemed disorganized. Also, the first curing light they used on my teeth was not working so they had to switch that out, too (another thing the assistant kept complaining about). I took the attached pic after two of my four fillings were done and I was "taking a break" while the dentist worked on other patients. I have no idea how anyone maintains aseptic technique or proficient work flow with a tray this chaotic. When I flossed for the first time after having these four fillings done, the new fillings made the gaps between my teeth so tight it shredded my floss. I tried the super thin ribbon floss and could barely get it between my teeth. At my next appointment, I told the dentist about this and he filed the gaps between my teeth and it was almost violent. I have never had a dentist handle my mouth so roughly. read more

This has been a horrible experience. This place has zero concern for anything but the bottom line. My Grandmother started her journey with this wretched company over 14 months ago. The complete disregard for her time and well being is a disgrace. I'm going to be generous and say that 20% of the appointed made were kept. The remaining 80% were changed last minute. Sometimes they call hours before and move the appointment to Salinas , if you can't make that time they reschedule you a month out. My grandmother has cried at almost every appointment. The first set of teeth they brought her that they said looked great were completely off-center and the wrong color. After further discussion they agreed those teeth are not up to par they do not use that lab normally and would reorder. If you value your time and money, then Accu-Dental and Suman Ramakumar (goes by Dr. Kumar) are not for you. This so called dentist is the appointment cancelling queen of Dentistry. Not only did she screw up my snap on dentures but it took Kumar 26 month's, to not finish them! Kumar took over two years of my life and replaced it with a horrible nightmare that I would now wish upon anyone. But that will be a book to follow in the month's to come. One of the reasons that it took so long to take out my teeth, put implants in, implants come out and put implants in again. Fit for snap on dentures, screw up snap on dentures multiple times, lose more implants, have to put more implants in, again, was because Kumar cancelled so many appointments. I was only able to see her once a month, due to her schedule, but on top of that she would cancel after cancel. She could not work well without her assitant. They call in sick, Kumar cancels. Mother dying in India, cancelled for two month's. Allergies, cancel, son's orientation, cancel. I found out from the manager that her mother was not dying. Why not just tell me that you want to go to India? Why lie?? But here is one for you... I had a appointment with Kumar in Seaside office to have her screw something else up with my snap on dentures. I get a call from her receptionist stating that she is running 45 minutes behind. I tell the receptionist that since Seaside is aways from my town, Capitola, that I was already in Seaside and would do some shopping and wait. No problem. Thirty minutes later, I get a call again from receptionist. This time telling me Kumar will be in surgery another two hours and will have to re-schedule for next month. I was pretty mad. I was already in town and now I am getting yet another cancellation. I thought to myself, why is she in surgery when she had a appointment with me? I went to the Seaside office and wanted some answers. The receptionist looked at me as if I caught her off guard. I told her to ask Kumar if she could see me after the surgery or another day real soon. The receptionist looked confused and said she would go ask her. Quite s few minutes went by and then she comes back and says Kumar can not talk because she is busy with surgery. I have been in the Seaside office before and I know where the exam rooms are and where Kumar's office is. Why did the receptionist walk towards her office and not the exams room? I knew it was just another cancellation lie. I remember saying this is bulls%*t and walked out. Now Kumar drives this but ugly red bubble Tesla. I always see it when I drive up to any of her offices. You can not miss this bubble car. I went around that whole parking lot. I mean the whole parking lot. It is a small parking lot that joins into a little bigger one. I checked for her Tesla everywhere and yes, you guessed it. No red Tesla. No Teslas of any type. She was not even there!! I later confirmed it on a phone call back to the receptionist a couple days later. She obviously forgot the lie she was intangled with, with her boss, and gave it all away. I wanted to tell you this because even if you do choose Kumar. (she takes insurance no real dentist will take) Be prepared for cancellations. But please think about your mouths well being as well. I'm 58 and have seen my share of dentist. And have had some pretty bad experiences. ( I even had a dentist twist his drill around one of my nerves) But Kumar, making so many mistakes in my mouth, and me walking away from visits with snap on dentures always cutting my gums and falling out. Implants in crooked, implants coming after two botched implant surgeries, Kumar has been the worse of all dentist I have seen. When I finally got away from her, I am now at a dentist that really knows what they are doing and even got me in sooner on upcoming appointments. She stated that they did the exam (not) and refused to change anything. They further stated that I am no longer welcome at their office and a letter to that effect has been sent. The entire team is awesome! Claudia, Paul, the dentist himself Michael were you pleasant and put my mind at ease when I scheduled an emergent appt. During the process, Michael was very thorough and explained what was being done. Claudia, expedited authorization for treatment and called me right away to fit me in the next day. Avoid this place for any orthodontic work. The orthodontist is very flakey and last minute cancelled about half my appointments... and she is only in the office one day a month. My teeth started moving in odd directions, and since she is so unreliable and cancelled 3 months in a row, I am now stuck with a couple of teeth looking crooked. After she kept cancelling, I had to just find a new orthodontist to remove my attachments and make my retainer. She is the same orthodontist at ALL Accu Dental locations, so beware of all their locations. Also, be careful of the office manager, Blanca... she tried to get me to sign forms completely unrelated to my treatment, told me false information about my insurance multiple times, and is just shady. read more

I am beyond Happy with our dentist visits today. We (my son & I) just had a cleaning done with Shawna and she was amazing. She was also a great teacher/advisor to Jessica Who is watching her do the cleaning to learn. I normally hate going to the dentist for a cleaning because my teeth are very sensitive but today was different. I really appreciate how Shawna took the extra time to do some of my Sensitive areas by hand. I met with Dr. Michael today and he was very knowledgeable and nice. It really pains me to leave a low rating for Accu Dental, because Ashley at the front desk and the hygienist were both kind and attentive. The office is comfortable and modern, with fun music and very cute Halloween decor. However, the actual service just wasn't very good. I scheduled my appointment for a Friday and got a call on Tuesday saying the hygienist would be out of the office that day, but that the dentist would do my cleaning if I wanted to keep my schedule. I agreed, but then I got another call on Thursday telling me I would have to reschedule my cleaning and exam. So I rescheduled for Monday. At the end of my appointment on Monday (after my cleaning), they inform me that the dentist is not actually in the office and I could schedule another appointment if I wanted an exam. If they had informed me on the phone, I could have scheduled a different date and time. If they had informed me before the appointment, I could have told them I was disappointed and would need to schedule another appointment. Since this was my first visit to their office, I wish I could have simply chosen another dentist that would have resulted in fewer glitches and in actually getting the services I had made an appointment to receive. I wish their service had matched their attitude and office, but unfortunately I can't recommend them to anyone and will be making future appointments somewhere else. read more

What a great decision that turned out to be! Everyone there - from the people at the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist - went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable. They were very professional throughout my visit, and made sure that all of my questions were answered. The in office staff is not the problem with Accudental. It is the management. Especially the CEO. I have been a patient at the seaside location for over 5 years and when I experienced multiple cockroaches with video evidence in the Salinas office the ceo would not respond or reach out to me after multiple emails. I have spent thousands with this company I would appreciate a call or Atleast reply to my email. Again, the office staff if amazing at the seaside location, yet I would not recommend Accudental to anyone because it feels like a shady company run by an unprofessional CEO who may be money hungry and I really feel like they couldn't care less about my dental health... it's a business so what can I expect. also previously at a younger age (18 or so) I was convinced to write I positive review on google and I was told by the manager that I would be compensated with a free teeth whitening kit. I was younger and low key taken advantage of. I now know this is wrong because reviews should be honest and written without the idea of a reward. If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. I am currently STILL trying to get my issue resolved: I am being charged for a procedure that I was told would be fully covered. I have reached out to their manager, Claudia Lopez, who has gone about the issue very unprofessionally. Every time I called for her, she was "late" or "out for the day." So I finally emailed her, and got a response three days later with a promise to have the issue resolved on Feb 2. Guess what day it is today? Feb 9th. Have I heard from her? Nope. I called today again and, yep, she is out for the weekend. SERIOUSLY? So I ask if there's someone else I can speak to, but it seems no one at Accudental cares about their customer service enough to direct me to someone who will take care of my issue. The service itself was also not something to brag about. Their periodontist basically did the procedure and then rushed out of the room. I had to ask the dental assistant basic care questions, and then come back the day after because the periodontist had left the end of my stitches so long they were hanging out the front of my teeth. Overall, terrible customer service--I hope I will resolve my issue but please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere! read more

For three months, I was scheduled to see a periodontist, they give me two different appointments and they did not have the periodontist but they charged me for the x-ray for no reason.
